There was only one game that had a secret organization that was titled "Eye of the Leviathan" and that game was "Cygnus Academy: Eye of The Serpent", the game I just completed last night. Here's the problem,
'I don't remember shit!'
I remembered the vague plot and important events and characters but I didn't memorize all the treasures and upgrades like a madmen. Hell, I didn't even collect most of the treasures and interacted with barely any of the characters in the game. I was trying to finish the game as soon as possible.
'Out of all the games I've played, why the hell is it this one! Is it because I cursed this game out, because if so screw this game.'
"Cygnus Academy: Eye Of the Serpent" was a fantasy academy RPG game. The combat was turn based and the world was fundamentally a normal isekai setting with magic and swords. Here's the difference, everybody at the age of 16 awakens an 'Affinity' or a field they excel in compared to other careers.
For example someone could awaken the affinity of 'Creation' and be better at creating certain objects.
Then there were 'Traits', traits specified your field of excellence that you recieved from your affinity. If someone had the affinity of 'Creation' they could have the trait of 'Alchemy' meaning they specialize in potions and such. People could awaken two traits but it's a rare case.
'Now how the hell do I see find out my affinity and trait?'
Normally you have a pop up that would tell you but I didn't have that currently. I thought back to all of the novels I used to read before and figured out a solution.
"System!"
A few seconds go by. Minutes go by. Nothing, no hologram, no ai voice, just me looking delusional.
I collapsed onto my knees. My fist slamming into the ground.
"Goddamn it, first I get transported to this messed up game and now I don't even have a system or anything similar!" I poured out my frustrations as I kneeled.
"Shut up you noisy brat!" A loud thud came from the wall next to me.
'Ah so they heard everything...'
I suddently felt the urge to jump out the window and die.
Then I noticed something on the back of my wrist, it looked like a black, small star tattoo. My hand subconsciously reaching out for it, tapping it.
Ping
A holographic blue window appeared before me with text.
Name: Azriel Blackshade
Age: 17
Affinity: Combat
Trait: Swordsman, Dark Magic(?)
Subtrait: Mana Eyes
Negative Trait: Demonic Connection
Rank: F-
'I have a subtrait and two traits? Also that negative trait is strange.'
A 'Subtrait' was a rare trait that enhanced your body or your trait which in this case were my eyes.
Meanwhile, a 'Negative Trait' is a randomized weakness or a downside, it can affect you in your daily life and in combat. It can range from being more emotional, to straight up making you a crippled.
There was also a strange question mark near my second trait.
'I never saw the question mark near a trait before in my playthrough, I also never heard of demonic connection.'
I often skimmed the wiki as the game never really explained what each subtrait and negative trait did, the mechanics of the game, or how to progress.
'Maybe I have to avoid churches or holy magic. Well, I'll deal with it once it becomes a problem.'
I shrugged it off as I handed that problem to future me.
'Ah, my rank is a problem.'
F-
To put that into perspective, the average person who just awakened would be atleast F rank. Your rank is a general perspective of your power. The higher your rank the stronger you are. You can raise your minor rank like F- to F+ by training.
However to go to the next major rank like D to C you have to clear a 'Dungeon'. Which is basically a dimensional rift to another world.
'Damn it, I'll have to train to get this body on par to regular people.'
I groaned internally.
'How will I plan to train in this damned game if I barely had motivation to go outside of my room and eat food at the dining table?'
I never understood how novel protagonists who sat in their room all day suddenly gained motivation and trained like crazy.
I pondered internally as I figured out a realistic way of getting stronger. There were many rewards that one could find in the game but most of it would be found in the academy and dungeons that the main cast would explore.
"Wait, that could work."
I remembered a detail about a future antagonist that would show up later in the game. Apparently they jumped off a water fall and ended up deep down in a lake where they found a hidden cave entrance. Inside they found a treasure that helped increase their strength which proved to be very troublesome for the player.
There was one problem though about this discovery, I didn't remember anything else about this hidden treasure.
'Fuck.'
I cursed internally
'I should have read the lore more, goddamn it. Is this what happens when I try to skip, and fast forward the damn cutscenes?'
I was one of those players who would mainly skip the cutscenes except for those of my favorite characters.
'I just wanted to play the game, not watch some one minute long cinematic about some random ass dude. Its fine, I'll just check out every waterfall location sometime.'
I reassured myself as I started to get ready to put this plan into motion.
I grabbed a nearby bag that seemed large enough for everything I would possibly bring, and stuffed it with nearby food that I can eat on the go. Which ended up being nutritional bars and a couple of plastic bottles of water.
'These locations could be in the wildness, so I need a weapon to defend myself. Speaking of a weapon... Aren't I a swordsman? So where the hell is my sword!'
No matter where I looked there was no sword, no blade, not even a fucking knife.
'This body was a dumbass.'
I concluded.
A bag jingled in my hands as I shook it.
'Atleast, he had some funds.'
Inside I found four silver coins, and 75 bronze coins.
The currency in this game was very simple, it went from bronze, to silver, to gold, and to finally, platinum. Each one was worth 100 of the previous tier so one gold was worth 100 silver coins
The amount I had was modest for pocket money. It wasn't enough to buy a house or anything fancy but enough for basic necessities with change for whatever I would want.
My eyes wandered back to the watch from earlier.
'Wait a minute... I forgot to check the message from earlier and the mission board.'
I clicked the screen which automatically lit up and opened to reveal the same screen from earlier. When I touched it again it expanded outwards and became a holographic touch screen which was only visible from one side. I could minimize it or expand it and fidget with it in any way I wanted.
'First things first, the message from earlier.'
I tapped on the lone red app with an eye in the middle with what seems to be a banner behind it. Then it opened to reveal three different GUIs each with text under them. With a black homescreen.
Messages- An app with a white phone icon. It had a red small circle with a one at the top left corner currently.
Missions- A scroll like PNG with curved lines on it mimicking text on a piece of paper.
Announcements- A megaphone icon.
I clicked on the messages app to check the notification.
The app format was that of a regular messaging app, the list of contacts on the left side and the messages would be shown on the right.
'That's strange, there's only one contact.'
The contact's name was Captain Star.
I clicked on it and I saw a list of messages, but at the very bottom read,
"Oi, 001 not responding immediately eh? Looks like we have to drag you back to the 'chambers' you useless brat."
The same message from earlier. I decided to just scroll up and read the previous messages to gather information.
There wasn't too much only a basic outline nothing too in depth of any hidden operations or missions, all I could understand was that they were planning something with the academy and me and my group would have something to do with it.
Ding
Another message appeared at the bottom of the chatlog.
"Looks like the bastard grew a pair of balls, daring to ignore my messages twice. The audacity of this bitch to leave their captain on read. Watch out 001, I'm coming for your ass."
Captain Star, a name I don't remember from the game.
'Huh?'
I reread that over and over again only to come to the same conclusion.
'Why the fuck is she coming to me!'
