"Luke get your lazy butt out of bed this instant" Luke's mother screamed from up stairs followed with the sound of pots and pans falling out of a cupboard.
Jolted awake Luke sat up and looked around his small bedroom before getting up and heading to the bathroom to shower and freshen up for the day.
About half an hour later Luke walked out of his parents house and waved back at them smiling. " I'm heading off to work I'll see you guys later. "
Luke hopped into his old 95 Chevy and started his commute to his job at gameshop. About 10 minutes into his drive the radio kicked on and a voice came through.
" This is an emergency broadcast severe weather has broken out throughout the Midwestern part of the US we advise you seek shelter as quickly as possible"
Luke looked around as he heard the announcement with confusion on his face. There were two issues with the broadcast one he looked around and it was a sunny day with no clouds in sight. Secondly the radio in Luke's car hadn't worked for nearly two years. Before Luke could respond to the fact that his radio was working and the oddity of the message the voice kicked back on.
"Luke I'm sorry but I think you'll eventually thank me"
"What the why did it jus---" before Luke could figure out what happened everything turned white as there was a thunderous roar behind him as if there were rushing water but before he could look around to see what happened he passed out.
