Chapter 7 - Chapter 6: The Master Plan Begins

Time has passed, and with it, I have set the gears of my plans in motion. First, I managed to convince my parents to send me a team of personal tutors. At first, they marveled at the idea of teaching a prodigious child, but soon enough, reality set in. My intellect was far beyond their expectations. Some were thrilled by the challenge, others found their egos bruised and left, unable to handle being outclassed by a three-year-old. But those that remained were well compensated, courtesy of my father's seemingly endless wealth.

Speaking of milestones, I have gained full control over my body—or at least, enough that I am no longer suffering the indignities of infancy. No more diapers! I had worked diligently to escape that fate as quickly as possible. The world will never know the shame of Tony Stark, the great genius, pooping his pants! It shall remain my greatest secret!

Despite my advanced intellect, I make an effort to spend as much time with my parents as I can. I know that as I grow older, my work will pull me away from them. But it is difficult. Maria is frequently occupied with charity events, and Howard is constantly buried in work for both Stark Industries and S.H.I.E.L.D. Of course, I know this because I have no qualms about reading his mind. Shameless? Absolutely. But worth it? Undeniably.

Through my father's thoughts, I have learned a great deal about the projects he is working on—particularly, the Space Gem and the arc reactor prototype he has been developing with Anton Vanko. Knowing the future as I do, I am keenly aware of Vanko's impending fall from grace. Exiling him to Russia will be a tragic waste of talent, one I intend to prevent. Instead, I shall recruit him into my grand vision—my League of Science! Currently, its membership consists of exactly one: me. But that will change soon.

My next step is to secure capable allies for the future. I have already decided to convince my parents to adopt a certain orphan from the Balkans—Teresia Karisik, better known as Sage. With her mutant ability to process information at supercomputer speeds, she will be invaluable. Not only does she need a home, but I need a right-hand woman, someone to helm the future Stark Megacorp and handle the public relations and mundane operations that do not require my genius. She will be the first of many.

Recruitment is key. There are so many brilliant minds in this world that I must either guide, befriend, or, if necessary, coerce into aiding my cause. Reed Richards, Victor Von Doom, Ivan Vanko, Bruce Banner, Henry McCoy, Otto Octavius, Curt Connors, Phineas Mason, Maya Hansen, Alyssa Moy and Susan Storm—each of them has immense potential, and I intend to mold them into the next generation of scientific pioneers by making them my friends, they will all call me big brother! But seriously, I will set up a sort of future foundation of my own and have them taught.

For those older than me, I will befriend, employ, or invite to joining me. I must tread carefully. Herbert Wyndham, Anton Vanko, Hank Pym, Myron MacLain, Arnim Zola, and even the terrifying Nathaniel Essex. Some I must learn from, others I must manipulate. A few may need to be neutralized. Each decision must be calculated.

Then there is the matter of mutants. The term is already being thrown around in whispers, laced with paranoia and fear. The world is teetering on the edge of a new kind of discrimination. If I do nothing, the events that lead to the rise of anti-mutant sentiment will play out as before. I must shift the narrative before it is too late. The term "mutant" carries too much stigma. Instead, I will push for the term "Meta-Human." It invokes thoughts of superheroes from rather than something unnatural. People will think of comic book heroes, not freaks of nature.

Yes, if you are wondering, I did attempt to invoke the Speed Force by shouting 3x2(9YZ)4A=? at dinner once. Barry Allen did so and became the Flash from DC so I thought why not. To my disappointment, the universal constants of this universe are different from the DC universe, and instead of gaining superspeed, I simply received confused looks from my parents. Apparently the Speed Force does not exist here to my dismay. That was a sad day.

Another deviation I have noticed is pop culture. Many of the media I remember from my past life do not exist here. For example, Star Trek is missing, though similar space-faring shows take its place. Minor details, yet they remind me that I am in a different world—one where I must shape the future myself.

For now, my short-term goals are clear. Expand my knowledge, begin gathering allies, prevent certain disasters, and shape the narrative surrounding mutants. Magneto and Charles Xavier will need to be informed subtlety of me doing this so they either reach out to me or I to them. They may or may not like me meddling, but they will listen to what I have to say.

And finally, the moment I have been waiting for—my first true test. My teleportation powers have been developing steadily, and now, it is time to push them to their limits. Let's see just how far I can go.

The world awaits.
