For millions of years, God observed humanity. People fought amongst themselves, killed one another. Corruption, disorder, enslavement… God saw it all, yet he did not intervene. For him, everything humans did was no different from an action scene in a film. The only times God interfered were when faith began to wane.
Indeed, on one occasion, disbelief deepened so profoundly that humans dared to openly defy God. They erected colossal, magnificent towers, soaring towards the heavens as if to reach God's own abode. Yet these towers were not for worship, but to belittle God's power, to overshadow him with their own creations. When the tallest tower was completed, people gathered and shouted mocking taunts towards the sky, proclaiming that God's silence meant his nonexistence. "Come and show your power, if you exist!" they cried, announcing their worship of their own idols, contemptuous of God. This insolence was the final straw that broke God's patience. An anger never before seen flared in his eyes. The faith of humanity had diminished so greatly that he drowned all the unbelievers in rain and flood. Humans, in turn, named this small-scale apocalypse the "Noah's Flood."
God continued to observe for years. Whenever human faith dwindled, he would eliminate the unbelievers with a natural disaster. In God's eyes, the unbelievers were no different from a poison; if left alive, they would one day corrupt the minds of the faithful.
God realized something when human faith first began to decline: as humanity's faith diminished, he too grew weaker. God had once tasted the power of that pinnacle, and he had no desire to ever descend from that throne.
Thus, to spread his faith among humans, God created a new living being. He named them "angels."
The birth of the angels unfolded with a splendor the universe had never witnessed. From God's hands, pure and intensely concentrated beams of light burst forth. As this light took form in the void, every single particle transformed into a glittering star. The light was so pure and dense that even the furthest reaches of the cosmos experienced an instantaneous illumination. Emerging with dazzling brilliance, these beings resembled God himself, with white skin, golden hair, and snow-white wings. They were creatures fashioned solely from the purest essence of light, completely purged of shadows. Unlike humans, they bore no inherent light source within their bodies; instead, they absorbed the power of light directly from God's very being. With this sacred genesis, God created six great archangels to govern all these angels.
The leader of these angels he named Azazel. His power was as God's very hands; he could shape the spiritual form of choices within his palms; if a choice made was good, light would burst forth, but if it was evil, a fractured, dark shape would form in his hand.
The second angel's name was Lumiel. Her power was to sense glowing faith in her chest and to heal souls and banish despair with the light she emitted.
The third angel was Dominarel. His power was to make reality take shape when he spoke. His commands would operate like the laws of nature.
The fourth angel was Virethiel. His power was to enable passage between dimensions with his wings, to create sacred barriers and storms. He was the bearer of justice.
The fifth angel was Chronariel. His power was to turn any ground he stepped upon into a "seal area." No enemy could enter or exit that region. Within this area, the laws of physics could also be altered.
The sixth angel was Saphiriel. His power was to perceive the past, the present, and probabilities all at once. He could sense lies, hidden thoughts, and the future.
These six archangels were created by taking a piece of God's own essence as their model. Under God's command, these six archangels began to spread faith among humankind.
