INT. CIA HEADQUARTERS - CHAOS ENSUES
(Alarms are ringing, employees scramble to their desks, whispers of panic fill the air.)
Employee: Sir... it's 27.
DCI (Director of Central Intelligence): (slams fist on the table) Damn it!
(A knock on the door interrupts the moment.)
DCI: Come in!
Peon: Sir, the analyst is waiting.
DCI: (frustrated) Tell him to come later!
(Peon leaves but crosses paths with the Analyst outside.)
Peon: (shrugs) Come back later.
Analyst (Mike): (smirks) Oh, but the number isn't 27.
Peon: (confused) Then what is it?
Analyst: (mockingly) Don't bother counting H₂O molecules in a glass of water.
(Analyst strides up to the door and knocks again.)
DCI: (annoyed) Don't test my patience!
Analyst (Mike): Maybe I'm the only one loyal enough to listen to you, sir.
DCI: (opens the door) What nonsense! Get in here, Mike, and talk straight!
(Mike enters, followed by another operative, Billy.)
Mike: Sir, first, you might want a glass of water. What I'm about to tell you will either make you thirsty... or give you a heart attack.
Employee: Will you just spit it out already?
Mike: Chill, I brought reinforcements. (gestures to Billy)
DCI: (glares) Enough theatrics. Explain yourself.
Mike: (serious now) This isn't just the CIA. Every intelligence and military branch across the globe seems connected. And it's no coincidence.
Billy: What are you talking about?
Mike: Remember the October 12, 2022 data leak? 20 lakh e-commerce users compromised. Everyone ignored it. But I dug deeper. Out of those leaks, 1,275,329 families belong to soldiers from various branches of the armed forces.
DCI: (shocked) Over a million?
Mike: Exactly. And the rest of the data? Random filler to distract us.
Billy: That's... deliberate.
Mike: It gets worse. Two days later, on October 14, the US Government contracted Beler Tech Pvt. Limited for "social tech security." Shortly after, they approved ground security training programs for nuclear facility staff. Too much coincidence for my liking.
(Suddenly, emergency alarms blare. Red lights flash throughout the headquarters.)
PA SYSTEM: All personnel to the main hall. Urgent briefing.
DCI: (grabs coat) What now?!
Mike: (to Billy) Our nation needs us.
Billy: Let's move!
(They run toward the main hall. On the screen, a MAN appears, his body painted with the names of various countries.)
Man on TV: (smirking) Where are all the heroes? I have the power to detonate every nuclear bomb on this planet with a single click. Want proof? Come find me at 39th Street. I'll be waiting.
(The screen cuts out. Silence fills the room as everyone processes the threat.)
DCI: (turns to Mike and Billy) Let's go. This is just the beginning.
