Chapter 10: Training Sprint
Speaking of Basic Taijutsu—
Over the past half month, likely in hopes that his students might survive longer in the coming war, Sugi Kiichiro had deliberately intensified their physical training.
Thanks to this, Seimei's Basic Taijutsu had risen from Lv1 (65/200) to Lv1 (185/200), already on the verge of leveling up.
Seimei planned to max it out the following day.
Aside from Basic Taijutsu, his Three Body Techniques had each gained 75 points of proficiency during this period, and their progress toward Lv1 was nearing the halfway mark.
Seimei intended to grind them all to Lv2 before the graduation exam.
That was also one of the reasons he had applied for leave.
Had he stayed in school, his daily training time would've been too limited. There was no way he could upgrade them all in just one week—reclaiming the time spent in class was his only option.
Then there were the Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique and the Technique of Reflecting the Mind.
These two—one a C-rank ninjutsu, the other an A-rank genjutsu—had difficulty levels far beyond the E-rank Three Body Techniques.
Even with the proficiency panel, after two full weeks, he hadn't even reached one-third progress on either.
It helped that both techniques allowed chakra consumption to be adjusted at will. If not for that, he probably wouldn't have been able to reach even thirty proficiency points.
Even now, the Technique of Reflecting the Mind had yet to show any meaningful results—his Sharingan awakening progress remained stuck at (51/100).
Seimei guessed that its effect likely wouldn't manifest until he reached the entry threshold.
Fortunately, he wasn't in a rush.
After reviewing his gains from the past half month, Seimei skillfully took out a military ration pill, popped it into his mouth, chewed, swallowed, and then began his usual training sequence.
Soon, the night passed.
······
The next day.
Early morning.
Inside the Uchiha compound.
At a training ground.
Due to the war, the area was mostly empty.
Seimei arrived at a clearing, tied the pre-prepared bandages and weighted wraps to his arms and ankles, and began his Basic Taijutsu training.
Basic Taijutsu included not only combat knowledge but also physical conditioning and endurance exercises.
So even without sparring, he could still raise his proficiency—albeit at a slower rate.
Fortunately, time was on his side.
Thud! Thud! Thud!
With fists and kicks, Seimei struck the tree before him. The repeated impacts made the trunk tremble and shed bark, revealing the fibrous layer beneath.
Unbothered, Seimei continued to punch and kick with steady rhythm.
When tired, he rested briefly, then switched movements and resumed training.
Thanks to the proficiency panel, Seimei never found it dull.
Soon, the entire morning had passed.
Finally, with one more point gained, Basic Taijutsu on the panel upgraded from Lv1 (199/200) to Lv2 (1/500).
In that moment, a wave of clarity surged in his mind—deepening his understanding of combat.
But that wasn't all.
The breakthrough in Basic Taijutsu triggered a chain reaction.
A warm current rose from deep within his bone marrow, quickly coursing through his blood vessels and meridians to every corner of his body.
Seimei felt as though a heavy weight had been lifted—his entire body felt relaxed and revitalized.
Opening his panel for a glance, he saw exactly what he expected: his Constitution had increased by one point, rising from five to six.
This wasn't purely the result of Basic Taijutsu.
At most, the technique accounted for a third. The larger share came from the foundation his body had accumulated during natural growth and development.
This latent potential had been drawn out by the taijutsu breakthrough, bursting forth at just the right moment to trigger a physical transformation.
If five points of Constitution made him average among his peers, then six was enough to be called a prodigy.
Constitution didn't increase linearly—six wasn't just twenty percent more than five; it was closer to a fifty percent leap.
That was also why, even after absorbing his past self's soul, his Spirit had only reached seven.
It spoke to how difficult it truly was to raise even a single point of Constitution.
But for the time being, Seimei no longer needed to worry about the limits of his physical body.
After adjusting to the sensation for a while, he didn't waste more time. He casually pulled out another military ration pill, swallowed it, and began refining chakra.
With Basic Taijutsu now upgraded to Lv2, his goal had been achieved.
Next up were the Three Body Techniques, the Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique, and the Technique of Reflecting the Mind.
After more than three hours, his chakra had fully recovered.
Seimei stood up and began training the Three Body Techniques.
Lv1-level Three Body Techniques could only be considered barely entry-level. While Seimei could execute them completely, there were still plenty of flaws.
That's why he was determined to grind them all to Lv2.
Once he did, even in actual combat, he would be able to use them smoothly and without hesitation.
Before long, his chakra was exhausted, but the Three Body Techniques gained another dozen or so proficiency points.
Seimei began refining chakra again.
Once his chakra had replenished, he resumed training the Three Body Techniques.
He repeated this cycle three times. After each technique gained fifteen more proficiency points, he would then spend the remaining chakra on training the Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique and the Technique of Reflecting the Mind.
By the time he finished those two, it would already be late at night.
At that point, Seimei would rest—then repeat the same process the next day.
The routine was dull and repetitive, but Seimei found satisfaction in it.
Soon, a full week had passed.
That night, after completing his final round of training, Seimei opened his panel.
A familiar pale-blue light screen appeared:
[Name]: Uchiha Seimei
[Age]: 10
[Constitution]: 6
[Spirit]: 7
[Chakra]: 5(372 → 580)
[Bloodline]: Sharingan · Not Awakened(51/100)
[Skills]:
Chakra Refinement Technique: Lv1(91/200)→ Lv1(195/200)
Clone Technique: Lv2(1/500)
Transformation Technique: Lv2(1/500)
Substitution Technique: Lv2(1/500)
Fire Release: Great Fireball Technique: Lv0(30/100)→ Lv0(52/100)
Technique of Reflecting the Mind: Lv0(30/100)→ Lv0(61/100)
Basic Taijutsu: Lv2(1/500)
Tool Throwing: Lv2(120/500)
Looking at the refreshed panel, a tired smile appeared on Seimei's face.
Nearly six hundred points of chakra, Lv2 Three Body Techniques, along with Lv2 in both Basic Taijutsu and Tool Throwing—these gave Seimei a sense of genuine hope for the future.
Ever since he transmigrated, he had walked on eggshells, acting with extreme caution to avoid exposing himself.
Now, after a full month, he had finally moved past the vulnerable phase.
From here on, as long as he could awaken the Sharingan before being sent to the battlefield, he'd have a real means of defending himself.
At that point, he could coast while grinding progress and steadily increasing his strength—hopefully enough to get through this Shinobi World War in one piece.
As for what came after…
That would depend on how things unfolded.
At his current rate of growth, it wouldn't take more than a few years to reach the pinnacle of the ninja world. By then, even if someone tried to move against him, he'd be able to crush them with ease.
So, the so-called Uchiha Massacre held no fear for him.
Of course, if anyone annoyed him before that point, he wouldn't mind taking them out early either.
After a brief moment of contemplation, Seimei stopped thinking and turned toward the bedroom.
