"Elyse," he groaned, staring into the reflection of a puddle. "I'm sparkling. Like some celestial disco ball."
Naia burst out laughing. "Oh my gods, Korrin! You touched the divine glitter, didn't you?"
"IT WAS AN ACCIDENT!"
"He's radiant," Elyse said, grinning.
Thessaly snorted. "Shiny boy."
Liss sat against a broken pillar, watching them, a soft smile tugging at her lips.
And the void inside her… was quiet.
But something deeper than gods heard their laughter.
