Chapter 1 - Prologue

When the sun rose on the day that would change her life forever, Lisa was in a foul mood, late for class, and battling a terrible migraine. In her defense, she had stayed up all night. Although she'd never admit it, she had made a habit of reading until dawn. Her newest obsession was the story Beauty and Power.

The reason Lisa was drawn to the book was simple: the villain shared her name. The romance was trending, and everyone was talking about it. Once she discovered this detail, it was only a matter of time before she bought the book.

Like many other popular stories, this was an isekai. In it, two girls, Eleanor and Lisa, found themselves in the world of beasts, where they had to survive with no prior knowledge of the place. Over time, their uniqueness and beauty attracted attention. In this world, men vastly outnumbered women—nearly 20 to 1. To ensure the survival of their species, the society had adopted a family system based on polyandry, where each female had multiple husbands.

Eleanor gradually gained more and more admirers through her kindness and beauty, while Lisa was ambitious and sought power. She envied her best friend, who managed to win over the most influential men. In the end, the two became enemies.

It was a reverse harem story filled with intrigue, jealousy, a friendship turned to hatred, and a fantastically built world. How could Lisa not love it? Never mind the clichés or the fact that the protagonist always triumphed in the end. Lisa adored it so much that she stayed up late for several nights until she finished reading the novel.

In the end, the villain was defeated. Using her manipulative skills, she had started a war between the Fox Clan and the Tiger Clan, where the protagonist resided. Unsurprisingly, she lost. As punishment, she was sold into slavery and had her tongue cut out. It was a horrific, well-deserved fate.

Lisa loved reading the book. Unfortunately, that meant she was late for yet another day of class. Her throbbing headache didn't help.

She squinted at the sunlight as she got on her motorcycle. If only she could skip class today... But she had already missed too many days and didn't want to risk failing another subject due to absences.

Frustrated, she decided she needed to go faster to make it in time for her first class.

That decision was the last one she remembered making. After that, she woke up in a place that should only exist in fiction.
