Chapter 1 - Dragons, Bloodshed, and the Wrath of the World

🐉 DRAGONS

As known, Dragons are the highest existence in this world. They are strong, cunning, and incredibly cruel.

In the face of mortal beings, Dragons are like gods. All races can only bow to their power.

Thousands of years ago, Dragons still reigned unchecked. They were worshipped by all races—as if they were truly divine beings.

However, this adoration made the Dragons arrogant. They acted with impunity: deceitful, vicious, and power-hungry.

They created chaos and destruction wherever they went.

The lives of living beings were no more than games to them.

None of the creatures dared to complain.

The weak could only obey, bow their heads, and hope not to become the next victim.

The world lived in terror—afraid of the wrath, will, and cruel games of the Dragons.

---

But one day... everything began to change.

Fear turned into disgust.

Subjugation turned into resolve.

All the races who had been oppressed finally grew tired of the hierarchy that had bound them for thousands of years.

And from the small embers of resistance—rose the fire of hope.

This fire began with a young human.

Someone who dared to defy the world.

With unwavering determination, he gathered strength from all races: humans, elves, dwarves, beastkin, and even the forgotten minor races of history.

They all united with one goal:

To overthrow the power of the Dragons.

They no longer wished to live in fear.

They wanted to tear down the old order—erase the hierarchy, and eradicate the Dragons to their very roots.

They became known as:

"Dragon Killers."

Their resolve was so strong that it began to influence the mana structure throughout the world.

Mana, which was once wild and chaotic, began to change: it became smooth, calm, but intimidating—as though carrying the intent to kill the Dragons.

This new manifestation was called:

"Dragon Aura."

---

The Dragon Killers relentlessly hunted the Dragons.

Battles, sacrifices, and rage scorched the skies for centuries.

One by one, the Dragons were annihilated from the face of the world.

They divided themselves into various groups, scouring every corner of the world—every mountain, valley, and island where Dragons hid.

This hunt did not take place in a short time.

Hundreds of years of war changed the face of the world.

The Dragons—once called divine beings—now trembled when they sensed the Dragon Aura.

This Aura, born from the intent to kill them, caused the Dragons to become restless and panicked.

How could creatures that were once weak... now intimidate them?

Of course, the Dragons did not remain passive.

They fought back. Desperately.

Massive battles broke out across the world.

Fierce, bloody, and shaking the sky and earth.

This cataclysmic event, which shook the very foundation of the world, came to be known in history as:

"The Dragon Revolution."

---

The world continued to be plagued by chaos.

Battle after battle left nothing but destruction.

The land cracked, the sky darkened, and the cries of suffering echoed everywhere.

Finally, the world grew angry.

For the first time, the world showed itself as the highest law.

Without bias—the world punished anyone who created chaos.

Whether Dragon Killers or Dragons—none were spared from punishment.

The punishment came while the battle still raged.

As blood spilled and magic destroyed everything, the world brought forth something never seen before:

Law Mana—a cruel, cold, and merciless mana.

It descended upon the battlefield and destroyed everything without mercy.

Those who survived... slowly perished.

Not from wounds—but from the unmanageable cruel mana.

Their bodies decayed, and their souls shattered slowly.

This event was recorded in history as:

"The Wrath of the World."

The remnants of those battlefields could never heal.

The land was filled with mana residue, ruins, and broken curses.

Over time, these places turned into dangerous labyrinths—full of cursed artifacts, hidden treasures, and monsters born from the world's wrath.

The remnants of the great battle between the Dragons and the Dragon Killers.

These places, in modern times, are known as:

"Dragon Nests."

---

As time passed...

Days turned into years, and years into centuries, until thousands of years had passed since the event known as "The Wrath of the World."

The world slowly returned to peace.

However, of the many races that once filled the world, only a few remained.

The ones that survived were the Humans, Elves, and Dwarves.

They continued to live on the ruins of forgotten history.

So, what about the Dragons?

None of them remained.

Dragons were cursed beings.

As long as one remained alive, the world would be on the brink of destruction.

Therefore, the world showed no mercy.

Every Dragon—without exception—was erased from existence.

Without a trace.

---

Returning to the present...

The world is calm.

Peaceful.

No more great events that shake civilization.

However, that peace began to be disturbed...

When the world's attention began to focus on one thing:

"Dragon Nests."

The remnants of the ancient battle began to attract attention once again.

One by one, various races began investigating it.

And from those investigations, they discovered one great truth:

Dragon Nests are a treasure trove of ancient wealth.

Artifacts, ancient magic, gold, crystals, and even secrets of the world—all buried within those labyrinths.

Over time, more and more people became interested in exploring Dragon Nests.

And they were given the title:

"Dragon Hunters."

Ironically, the Dragon Hunters did not hunt Dragons.

They hunted the Dragon's treasures.

However, Dragon Nests were not ordinary places.

They were Law Areas—dangerous regions filled with Law Mana, the residue of curses formed from the world's wrath, flowing and decaying for thousands of years.

Monsters were born from the remnants of destruction.

Curses wandered without form.

Death lurked in every corridor.

Nevertheless… humans still entered.

No danger was too great compared to the rewards.

Those who conquered the Dragon Nests would gain:

Recognition. Respect. Fame. Wealth.

Things that even blue-blooded nobles couldn't achieve—unless they were brave enough to enter.

Seeing this phenomenon, the world established a new order.

An organization that would house, regulate, and manage the explorers of the Dragon Nests.

That organization was known as:

"The Hunter Guild."

However, the journey of the Dragon Hunters was not just about courage—their determination also began shaping the world.

Just like in the past, their strong will to conquer Dragon Nests slowly began to influence the mana around them.

The result was the emergence of a new Dragon Aura.

Unlike the wild and intimidating Dragon Aura of the ancient times, the modern Dragon Aura was much simpler and more stable.

However, it still came from the desire and ambition to conquer ancient power.

Even the weakest Dragon Hunters possessed this form of aura—as proof that they had come into contact with the intent and dangers of the Dragon Nests.

---

Over time, explorers began to understand one important thing:

Each Dragon Nest is different.

They realized that Dragon Nests were affected by Law Mana—the residue of curses formed from the world's wrath.

However, not all Dragon Nests had the same mana intensity.

This led to the birth of a classification system:

Level 1 to Level 10.

Level 1: The weakest nests—suitable for beginners.

Level 10: The deepest, darkest, and most dangerous nests—where even sound can disappear, and no one ever returns.

---

The Dragon Hunters began forming parties, building trust and cooperation.

The larger the group's power, the greater their chance of survival…

And, of course—the greater the loot they could bring home.

---

With this system, the Dragon Hunter profession became more structured, measurable, and strategic.

However, behind all of this, one fact remained unchanged since thousands of years ago:

Dragon Nests are not places for the faint of heart.
