Chapter 6 - Chapter 6: One-Handed Signs and Rasengan

Shino also introduced himself, basically saying he liked insects.

However, Shino's appearance and hobbies clearly made many people keep their distance, and because his presence was too low, he was quickly forgotten by his classmates.

Seeing this, Xia Mu patted his deskmate's shoulder in comfort.

Then he stood up and introduced himself, "My name is Xia Mu. There's nothing I particularly like, and I don't seem to dislike anything either. As for my dream, I haven't decided yet. That's it."

So, all they knew was his name!

Everyone was somewhat speechless, but since he wasn't willing to say more, they couldn't force him.

Moreover, Xia Mu's appearance was just somewhat refined, not particularly outstanding, so he was pretty much overlooked like Shino.

Xia Mu was currently focusing on keeping a low profile, so a perfunctory self-introduction was fine. From now on, he just wanted to study hard, occasionally build good relationships with friends, and avoid getting involved in troublesome matters.

After the introductions, textbooks were distributed.

As Xia Mu guessed, the textbooks basically covered the Will of Fire, Konoha history, Ninja World history and geography, math, physics, chemistry, biology, and mandatory basic Ninja courses.

Of course, there were also outdoor classes, teaching basic taijutsu, Kunai and shuriken throwing, rope escape techniques, trap setting practice, and sparring among classmates. These were the most important courses. After all, the purpose of the Ninja Academy was to train Ninja, and the most important thing for a true Ninja wasn't mastering book knowledge, but knowing how to fight.

After the textbooks were distributed, classes began.

The first class: Literacy!

That's right, literacy!

In these chaotic times, the literacy rate wasn't high, especially among a group of five or six-year-old kids. Many were orphans and couldn't recognize many characters at all.

To train Ninja, they naturally had to teach literacy first.

However, not much time was allocated for literacy classes. Other courses were also very packed, and the outdoor classes were the most crucial.

In short, Xia Mu's school life had begun.

After school in the afternoon, Xia Mu said goodbye to Shino, Shikamaru, and Choji. After returning home, he quickly cooked and ate dinner, then waited for seven o'clock to arrive.

Today was the first, the day the Special Lab state could be activated.

As soon as seven o'clock arrived, Xia Mu's thoughts moved, and he was in the training room.

At this time, the training room was no different, but there was a peculiar feeling, as if power could be endless, as if he was immortal and indestructible. He didn't know if it was a psychological effect.

Xia Mu didn't waste any time. He immediately brought up the countdown, which showed ten hours remaining.

Then, he began to study one-handed signs.

Taking the Transformation Technique as an example, Xia Mu was already familiar with the Chakra flow and changes within his body when performing two-handed signs. Now, he attempted to manipulate Chakra using one-handed signs, striving for the same state as with two-handed signs.

Ten minutes later, Xia Mu felt beads of sweat on his forehead.

One-handed signs were very different from two-handed signs. First, the flexibility of the fingers was different, and he also had to constantly monitor the state of the Chakra within his body, which was very mentally taxing.

Fortunately, he still felt very energetic, which was clearly a result of the Special Lab state.

He calmed his mind and continued to try, unafraid of injury or exhaustion, completely free of worries. This was his greatest advantage.

Then, an hour passed.

Xia Mu formed a few signs with his right hand, and with a 'bang', he transformed into Shino's appearance.

"Did I just succeed? As expected, the Special Lab state is great! No need to worry about consumption or safety, plus my decent talent, and the foundation of fine Chakra control I had before, I quickly learned one-handed signs. Next, I need to get familiar with it, and not just with my right hand, my left hand must also be very proficient."

Another hour passed, and Xia Mu scratched his head. He seemed to have underestimated his talent somewhat.

Including the previous time spent, in a total of two hours, he not only successfully researched one-handed signs but also became very proficient with both his left and right hands, as if he was born knowing them.

"What should I do? I'm already very proficient with one-handed signs now, practicing further is meaningless. But there are still eight hours left until the Special Lab state ends. I can't just waste it, can I? As expected, I should prepare more research projects to make full use of the Special Lab. So, what should I do next?"

Xia Mu thought for a while and finally made a decision:

Train the Rasengan!

He had transmigrated to the world of Naruto, and besides the Three Body Technique, there was nothing else to learn. What else could he do but Rolling meatballs ?

Moreover, the training method for the Rasengan was explained in detail in the original work, with clear steps for each stage of practice. Now, he was in a state where he wasn't afraid of running out of Chakra or getting injured. What was he waiting for if not to Rolling meatballs?

Xia Mu's thoughts moved, and a balloon filled with water appeared in his hand. He began to condense Chakra within the water balloon.

The first step was to condense the Chakra, making it spiral and compress within the water balloon without breaking it. The second step was to make the spiraling Chakra burst, completely destroying the water balloon. The third step was to replace the water balloon with a rubber ball and similarly destroy the rubber ball.

The steps were simple, but not easy to achieve.

Fortunately, Xia Mu's comprehension was indeed good, and combined with his current special state, his practice should be twice as effective.

Soon, five minutes before the Special Lab state was about to end, Xia Mu successfully condensed a Rasengan in his palm. He pressed the orb onto a tree trunk, instantly blasting a round hole in the thick trunk.

"Haha! Success! I didn't waste tonight's ten hours after all!"

Xia Mu was excited and played with the Rasengan for a while longer until he exited the Special Lab state, only then feeling a hint of fatigue.

Moreover, it was already five o'clock in the morning, and he could even hear roosters crowing outside. Xia Mu couldn't help but yawn. Staying up all night was really difficult for a six-year-old child.

He was very excited while training, so he didn't feel it, but now that the training was over, all the fatigue rushed out.

He exited the training room and immediately started making breakfast. After eating breakfast, it was already bright outside, and he didn't have time to catch up on sleep, so he went straight to school.

It was still early in the morning, and no one was in the classroom yet. He just lay down on his desk and fell asleep.

He didn't know how much time had passed.

"Hey, Xia Mu, wake up, the teacher is about to start class." Shino nudged Xia Mu.

"Mhm, I'm awake."

Xia Mu said he was awake, but he didn't get up.

The next second, his heart suddenly tightened, and he instinctively raised his hand, using two fingers to catch the board eraser flying towards him. For a moment, he felt the eyes of the entire class on him, and even Iruka was slightly stunned.

"Oh! You're quite quick on the draw, sleepyhead!" Iruka said with a half-smile.

"Uh, well, I trained too late last night, that's why I was dozing off. I thought I was still training when I caught the eraser just now. Iruka-sensei, how about I stand outside?" Xia Mu asked in a negotiating tone.
