Chapter 1 - The Legend of the Divine Dragon

When the sky was empty and the earth a silent sigh, two dragons were born, two males, equal in majesty, yet opposite in essence.

The Dragon of Creation, called He-Who-Builds, was the beginning of all things; from his breath rose the mountains and flowed the seas.

The Dragon of Destruction, called He-Who-Breaks, was the end of all things; in his shadow, stars melted and returned to silence.

They did not fear one another, for they were two halves of the same balance, and half of one was also half of the other.

But the Era of Beginnings faded, and their power waned with each new dawn. On the night before their end, when their wings had become but smoke, the two uttered one final wish: to leave behind a being who would keep the world alive after their passing.

They joined their essences, and from their fire and light was born the Divine Dragon: scales as white as immortal snow, eyes where azure and the violet dust of the stars entwined.

In the moment the child's body took form, the parents approached, touched his forehead with a kiss full of love, and, embraced in light, died in peace. With that kiss, they gave him not only power, but also the ability to love like a human.

The Divine Dragon walked among mortals, whispered to the wind to soothe the heat, and asked the grass to ferment into bread. The world knew a peace like never before.

But under the same constellation where his life had ignited, a second being was born: the Dragon of the Dark Star, the Star Brother. Not of blood, but destined under the same sky.

He saw the weakness of humans, their hatred, their wounds, and he despised them.

When the wars of men drowned the lands in blood, the Star Brother descended from the clouds and cried out:

"If their fate is to suffer, I shall end it with fire!"

Forests burned in a single day, rivers dried beneath his breath, and the sky turned crimson like the world's open wound.

No elemental dragon could stop him.

The Pact of Trust

In desperation, the Divine Dragon called upon the four lords of the elements:

-Kōryū, Dragon of the Deep Waters

-Enryū, Dragon of the High Flames

-Fūryū, Dragon of the Living Winds

-Doriyū, Dragon of the Undying Earth

"I do not ask for your lives," he said, "but for your full trust."And they each tore a shard of soul from within and placed it in his heart. At that same hour, a few humans, still untainted by hatred, placed their faith, tears, and prayers into his hands.

With souls united, his and theirs, the Divine Dragon wove the Seal of the World's Heart. In a battle without dawn or dusk, he wrapped the Star Brother in a cocoon of light and shadow, sealing the gate to destruction.

The Temple of the Divine Dragon, scattered across the lands, preserves the legends and memories of him.People believe the Divine Dragon is dead, but the truth is that he hid from the world to protect the seal, and the world itself, from danger.

It is said that in times of great hardship, when light grows faint again, only one who carries his blood and understands his true story will be able to find him, and help him rise from hiding.
