Helicarrier

–Tony Stark–

"Well, I guess we can add flight to the list of fantastical powers you have, Ms.Webers. Mind telling me where you were while people were dying here?" He couldn't help but let out some of the bitterness in his voice as he spoke to her.

People had most definitely died on the ship, he had almost died and was on his way to perform a very risky maneuver that would almost certainly physically injure him and what does Samantha Webers do while all of this is happening?

The one person capable of matching even Thor in total destructive output and probably could have helped stop the Hulk much before or outright stopped Loki from escaping from the ship.

"Well?" He prompts, floating closer to the woman who continues to look down at the tattered propellers before looking in the distance, her face set in stone. He was about to snap at her to either help or leave since she was obstructing him but then she spoke.

"Zero deaths onboard."

"What?" he asks her, confused as to what she could be alluding to. Many people most definitely died on the ship.

Jarvis piped up in between, "She is correct, sir." A series of video feeds, from inside the Helicarrier emerged, along with an algorithm calculating injuries, "Aside from the intruders, there has been zero deaths amongst the agents of SHIELD. All of their injuries have been stabilised enough that they will survive until they get enough medical attention."

What? How did that happen?

"No, I most definitely saw someone being smacked away by the Hulk, that ought to have snapped something."

"...You are correct, sir. I have 17 confirmed individuals who are in various states of paralysis and have a very high chance of not being able to use multiple appendages."

"That still doesn't excuse your actions. Dozens of people have their lives ruined because you couldn't be arsed to come out and defend the people." He spoke to her.

"Stark! We are running out of time! Get the engine running or we will crash soon! Save the lecture for later!" One-eyed's irritating voice spoke in his HUD and he hated that FUry was right in this regard.

"Get out of the way. You didn't help stopping Loki, don't stand in my way right now." He bit out as he floated downwards, towards the now tilted engine. This was going to be tough, doing the rotating death dance while the engine was now at an angle. According to Jarvis' calculations, they only had a small window—

"Don't bother." A calm, gravelly voice reverbed through the area before his suit was yanked back, despite the repulsor stabilisers working as they should. "What the, Jarvis?" He exclaimed as a video feed appeared on his HUD, showing a whip of water(?) coming out of the woman's back that latched onto his suit and pulled him back.

"What are you–" He wanted to ask and yet the words were stuck in his mouth as two other whips came out of her back and then latched onto the edges of the engine. The whip holding onto him dissolved as the repulsors kicked back in.

"I have to get the fans going, yes?" The woman asked him even as she was lowered by the whips, right on top of the fans like some kind of spider.

"Yes," he answered, still caught up in the fact that mere water overcame his repulsor thrust with contemposu ease.

"Tony, what is happening?" The Captain's voice was heard in his HUD but he was too busy benign slack jawed at the fact that the woman had dissolved.

"Fury, are you seeing what I am seeing?" He couldn't help but ask as the woman turned into a stream of water which then dropped itself into the now ruined propellor space.

"....Yes. Just let her get the engine running. Then we can interrogate her." Fury said, with what looked like a whole lot of buttons being pressed in the background. Jarvis already being in the system due to the hack actually helped SHIELD a lot since he was able to shoulder a lot of the burden of the manual systems that were kept off of automation because of security concerns, which were now thrown out of the window because the ship could crash at any point in time.

He watched as the stream of water somehow cut through all the stray metal around the propeller ring before spinning around the propellers, cleaning everything around it and leaving the blades nice and shiny.

"Cap, be ready to pull the lever. Do you have it yet?" He asked the Captain as the stream of water sprouted small arms that latched onto the individual blades, with each blade getting two hands.

"Yes, I have it. Just waiting for someone to tell me what the heck is going on before I pull it down." The frustrated voice of the Captain entered his ears. He ignored that and replied, "When I tell you to, pull the lever. Not right now but soon."

"Esoteric energy levels recorded, and climbing. Distance advised!" A red alert popped up on his HUD as the water began glowing white before the blades began turning. He backed up a bit but kept an eye on the sensor data. The blades were picking up speed, faster than he could, in any way, and with her water avatar capabilities, he was not sure if even being shredded would harm her in any way.

"Damn, that is one broken set of abilities." He muttered as Jarvis continued to record the abilities displayed in a report that would be shared with SHIELD. This was not something he could handle on his own, this woman was most definitely a country level issue, not a private individual with an advanced prosthetic issue.

"Blade speed rising. Energy blockage to be released in 3….2….1."

"Pull the lever, Captain!" He shouted as there was a spark in the blade ring before the fans began spinning on their own. He saw the third engine light turn green as the Helicarrier began stabilising itself, the cheers in the captain's deck audible to him because of Jarvis.

Still, he didn't cheer because the game was not done yet. Samantha was still–

"Yup, there she is." The water stream came out of the blades and reformed into Samantha Webers, all with her clothing intact, with nary a scratch anywhere on her body.

"Where did her clothes come from?" He asked himself as he followed her, both of them floating to the deck entrance. He mentally lamented the loss of property as multiple jets were in various states of disrepair with only a couple looking to be fully functional.

"For the record, that still doesn't change the fact that you did nothing while all those people got severely injured and more importantly, Loki escaped." He grumbled, not having the previous heat in his words as he was just so tired right now. The suit was in shambles as the Hulk did not pull punches and even if he did, even the pulled punches were enough to nearly dismantle his suit.

He really had to come up with something to negate blunt force damage from the suit. That should help, at least in the case of the Hulk. Point Break's case was different as–

"Sir, I regret to report to you that I was unable to stop the pod that held Thor from crashing. The suit was destroyed, as well as the pod, having crashed into the Earth at very high speeds. I have satellite imagery from the site of the crash but there has been no movement from the debris. A drone is en route to check on them." Jarvis' news ruined the cheer that was building up in the comms.

"Contact local authorities. Don't stop at the first drone. Get the next wave ready. Inform all nearby hospitals and make sure that the paramedics know what they are doing. I need him alive, Jarvis? Do you hear me, he needs to live!" He nearly shouted, not knowing what had come over him at the moment.

The mere possibility that Thor, the so called God of Thunder, a being so impossibly strong, so larger than life, could be brought low, in the same battle he, the squishy human was a part of, was sobering and a tad bit overwhelming.

"I am sorry." He hated the look of pity in Samantha's eyes as he rocketed down the hallways, into the work space that was assigned to his suits.
