Chapter 2 - Chapter Two: An Ancient Jade

Chen Fei is a good buddy of mine. He is twenty-three years old and a collector of jade wares. The primary condition for becoming a jade collector is to have a lot of money. Chen Fei's ancestors accumulated good karma and left him a large fortune, which enabled him to thrive in the ocean of jade wares. Chen Fei's great-grandfather was a tomb digger. Before liberation, he had illegally excavated a large number of ancient tombs, and his family had accumulated thousands of jade articles. For over a hundred years, these jade articles have successfully escaped one social upheaval after another. By the time they reached Chen Fei, they had shed all their preludes and become legitimate private property.

It is no exaggeration to say that if Chen Fei were to hold an exhibition of all the jade wares in his own vault, even the museums in this city would feel ashamed of themselves. Chen Fei grew up among jade piles since childhood and developed an excellent ability to identify jade. No matter what kind of jade it is, as long as Chen Fei takes a few glances and touches it a couple of times, he can determine its age, origin and value, and he is always accurate without ever making a mistake. When Chen Fei saw me through the video image on the computer, he first looked surprised and then said, "Brother Lin, I know you're feeling bad holding it in. It's no big deal to play around once in a while, but don't go too far."

I'm so wronged. I've lived for twenty-four years and I'm still a fledgling. How could there be any girls? Chen Fei was well aware of this. The reason why he made fun of me like this was simply to make fun of me. "Last night Bai Ling was on my bed. Don't you know that?" " Bai Ling is Chen Fei's girlfriend. Because we know each other so well, we always joke around with each other. "That's great. I've been wanting to get another one for a long time. If you're willing to accept it, I'd be glad to see it happen." " Chen Fei laughed loudly, "Brother Lin, why are you bothering me for no reason?" "Very early in the morning."

Chen Fei is a person who goes to bed late. Eleven o 'clock in the morning is the time for me to work, but for him, it's the time to sleep. I picked up the jade bracelet and waved it in front of the camera, saying, "Show me if this thing is genuine and how much it's worth?" Chen Fei took a look and shook his head, saying, "The picture is very blurry and hard to see clearly. It would be best if you could send me a photo." But I think it's better to forget it. You brat won't have anything good. If I'm not mistaken, you must have picked it up from a street stall. What era is this? The possibility of finding a bargain no longer exists." I was well-prepared for this and immediately sent him a digital photo taken in advance.

When Chen Fei saw the photo, he immediately burst into laughter. "Ha ha ha, you are so interesting. You actually tried to fool me with such a crappy thing." I can be one hundred percent certain that this is not jade but a very fine stone. The bracelet was fake. Not only was I not angry at all, but I was actually very happy. Because I have a legitimate reason to turn down the employer. I smiled awkwardly and said, "I also think it's a fake because this bracelet is not a perfect round shape at all, but an oval one." Besides, isn't it said that jade is very cold? This bracelet feels very hot when held in hand. I knew you were still bothering me. Jade has excellent thermal conductivity, so when held in hand, it feels cold. Surprisingly, it's still an oval-shaped piece of junk. Hey, no, it's oval and hot?"

Chen Fei suddenly fell silent, his eyes fixed on the computer screen, looking at it over and over again. His expression became solemn. I had no idea what Chen Fei was looking at. I thought there was someone else chatting with him, so I typed "Bye" in the chat box and was about to turn off the computer. "Wait a moment!" Chen Fei on the other end of the computer suddenly shouted and said anxiously, "Don't turn it off. Wait for me for a moment." Chen Fei got up and left the computer desk, almost rolling and crawling out of the room. When he was leaving the door, he even fell down. I saw Zhi Le. I had never seen Chen Fei so disheveled before. A dozen seconds later, Chen Fei returned to his computer desk, holding an ancient book with a yellowish color in his hands. I have seen this ancient book before. It was left to Chen Feide by his grandfather and is his great-grandfather's tomb-raiding notes. Chen Fei opened the ancient book and found a page to read carefully.

"Brother Lin, take a look at your bracelet. Is there a thin red line on the inside with a triangle engraved on it?" Chen Fei shouted into the microphone. I picked up the bracelet and took a look. I found that there was indeed a thin red thread on the inside of the bracelet. This thin line winds around the bracelet like a snake, with two forks at one point. The entire pattern is just like a snake swallowing its own tail. On the other side corresponding to the snake's head, there was indeed a small triangle carved. There really is a thin line and a triangle. I found it very novel. The photo I sent over didn't show the inner side of the bracelet at all because of the different shooting angles. "Really? Are you sure?" " Chen Fei stared fixedly at the screen, his eyes as if they were about to jump out of my computer through the network. "I'm sure." I brought the bracelet close to the camera and showed Chen Fei the pattern inside. "Wow, you're amazing! You're truly an expert. How did you know there was this thing inside?" "

It wasn't me. It was my great-grandfather who knew. Chen Fei jumped up at once, and the features on his face had become extremely distorted due to excessive excitement. "Quick! Come to me with the bracelet!" By this time, I already had a feeling. This bracelet is definitely not as simple as it seems on the surface. Maybe it's really a treasure. Chen Fei is an expert in jade. There are thousands of jade articles at home. The jade articles that can make him so nervous must be extraordinary. Holding the jade bracelet in my hands, I felt the warm scent emanating from it, but my heart was caught in a dilemma. If this were a worthless stone, the problem would be much easier. I could have simply returned the bracelet to the employer and refused to accept her commission. But what should I do if this is a priceless treasure? Could it be that one really offends that big shot they can't afford to offend just for money?

Seeing that I was hesitating, Chen Fei got anxious. His fists pounded loudly on the table and he shouted, "What are you still standing there for? Come quickly!" If you don't come, I'll go to you right away. Things have come to this, so I have no choice but to go. I put the bracelet on my left wrist, shouldered the tool bag and was ready to visit Chen Fei's home. My home is on the 16th floor of an apartment building, and right across from it is the bustling Wuyi Avenue. I came to the entrance of my apartment building and waved at a passing taxi. The taxi slowly pulled up in front of me, but a fair little hand pulled open the door first. This is the hand of a young girl who is breathtakingly beautiful. The girl opened the car door and said behind me, "The car is coming. Let's go." I turned around and was immediately stunned.
