Chapter 1 - CHAPTER 1-LIFE OF EMY

Emy walked through the crowded hallway of her new high school, her eyes scanning the sea of unfamiliar faces. She had left behind her old school where she had a close knit group of friends and a past relationship that had ended badly. The memories still lingered her, and she couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness whenever she thought about it.

Her ex boyfriend, who had been her first love had turned out to be a playboy. She had discovered that he was juggling multiple relationships, and the betrayal had left her heart broken. The worst part was that he was still roaming around her, making it hard for her to move on.

As she navigated her new school, Emy felt like a small fish in a big pond. She was determined to start fresh and leave her past behind, but it wasn't easy. She struggled to connect with her new classmates, and the feeling of being an outsider was overwhelming.

At home, things weren't much better. Her family dynamics were complicated, and she often felt like she was walking on eggshells. Her mother's constant criticism and her father's drinking problem had taken a toll on her self esteem.

Despite these challenges, Emy's love for reading crime stories and solving puzzles kept her going. She devoured books on Sherlock Holmes and Agatha Christie, fascinated by the way they pieced together seemingly unrelated clues.

As she walked into her first period class, Emy spotted a group of students chatting quietly in the corner. She felt a pang of longing, wishing she could be part of their inner circle. But she knew that her inability to keep secrets would likely make her a liability, rather than an asset, to any group.

As she sat alone at lunch, Emy couldn't help but feel a pang of loneliness. She longed for the stories, gossips and laughter she once shared with her old friends. The memories of their inner jokes and late night conversations still lingered in her mind. Emy's thoughts were interrupted by the sound of her phone buzzing with a call.

As Emy's accepted the phone call, she felt a chill run down her spine. The voice on the other end was her neighbour's laces with urgency.

"Emy, it's Mrs.Jenkin. You need to come home now. There's been an .... Incident"
