Chapter 29 - Chapter 29

An Isekai Adventure

Click. Adrian opened the apartment door and pushed Elsa inside. They put their takeout bags on the table, then settled into the living room.

"Finally home, hehe," Elsa said, moving to the sofa.

"Yeah, we were at the mall for quite a while, weren't we?" Adrian replied.

"Yep, watched a movie, ate, walked around," Elsa agreed.

"What should we do now?" Adrian wondered.

"Hehe, I'm stumped too," Elsa answered.

"Want to go to the other world?" Adrian asked.

"Hmm, let's go," Elsa replied.

"Okay, just open it, right?" Adrian said.

"Yeah, just open it. We both need to wear these watches," Elsa replied.

They both pressed the red button on top of their watches. A portal opened, and they stepped inside. As soon as they arrived, Adrian lowered Elsa, but both were stunned.

"Whoa, it's nighttime. So this world is the opposite of ours, huh?" Adrian remarked.

"Yeah, too bad. I wanted to go to the beach, hehe," Elsa responded.

"Come on, let's go to the beach," Adrian suggested.

"Huh? In the middle of the night?" Elsa asked.

"Well, why not? It's not forbidden, is it?" Adrian replied.

"Yeah, I guess not. Let's go," Elsa said.

They walked to the door and opened it, crossing the yard and unlatching the gate. Hand in hand, they strolled across the open field leading to the beach. The beautiful night view of the sea, the faint sound of crashing waves, the fresh sea air, and the white sand made their evening magical. Adrian rolled up his trousers and sat down at the edge of the beach.

"Whoaa, cool! Come here, Adrian," Elsa said, running to the water's edge and playing in the sea.

"Nah, I'll just stay here," Adrian replied.

Elsa approached Adrian and stood in front of him, immediately pulling his hand to make him stand up.

"Come on, when else will we get the chance?" Elsa urged.

"Haha, we can do it anytime, what do you mean 'when else'?" Adrian teased.

"Just because, hehe," Elsa retorted.

They both ran a bit deeper into the sea and started playing in the water, their faces bright with joy, teasing each other. After they were tired of playing, they sat back down on the beach, gazing at the clear, pollution-free sky full of stars.

"Adrian, look, there are two moons! One blue, one red," Elsa said, pointing to the sky.

"Yeah, you're right! We really are in an isekai," Adrian replied.

"Hehe, yeah, who would've thought? We don't need to pay expensive tickets to Ancol just to go to the beach now," Elsa chuckled.

"Haha, true, but there are no food vendors or boat rentals here," Adrian noted.

"Alright, I've made up my mind," Elsa said.

"Decided what?" Adrian asked.

"I want to learn magic. There are so many books inside, I want to try reading them," Elsa answered.

"Hmm, that sounds interesting. I want to too," Adrian replied.

"Maybe we can become a couple like Mom and Dad here, become heroes, hehe," Elsa mused.

"Well, as long as we don't get caught," Adrian countered.

"If we get caught, we'll just run, hehe," Elsa retorted.

Blaaar! A loud explosion echoed behind them. Both turned, startled, but then immediately tilted their heads back and spun around, hugging each other. A huge red dragon landed behind them with a loud thud.

"D-dragon... we're gonna die, Adrian," Elsa whimpered, clinging to Adrian.

"C-calm down, Elsa... c-calm down," Adrian replied, also holding Elsa tightly.

Groaaaaar! The dragon roared loudly upwards, then looked back at them, tilting its head.

"Aaaaaaah! Please don't kill us!" Elsa cried out.

Suddenly, the dragon extended its head and looked at them from close range. Hooof, the dragon blew its breath at them, making them tremble with fear.

"W-what's it doing?" Adrian asked.

"I don't know... I don't know... help!" Elsa shrieked.

Hrrrrrh. The dragon pulled its head back, then stepped backward and immediately lowered its head in front of them.

"Huh?" they both asked, confused.

Hrrrh.

The dragon closed its eyes and then reopened them. The murderous gaze had transformed into that of a docile pet. Curious, Adrian slowly extended his hand towards the dragon's nose. Tap. Adrian's palm touched the dragon's nose, and the dragon seemed very happy.

"I-it seems to be tame, Elsa," Adrian said.

"Pull your hand back, quickly! I'm scared!" Elsa cried.

"She's scared," Adrian told the dragon.

Hrrrh.

The dragon lifted its head slightly and opened its mouth. Slurp! Its tongue came out and licked Elsa next to Adrian.

"Whoaaaaaa... it's stinky... stinky... wet!" Elsa shrieked.

"Hahahaha... that's funny," Adrian replied, laughing.

Slurp! This time, Adrian was licked from head to toe by the dragon. Elsa, seeing this, immediately covered her mouth.

"Hahahaha, serves you right! Feels good to be licked, doesn't it?" Elsa teased back.

"You're impossible," Adrian said, hugging Elsa.

"Whoaaaaaa... hahahah, now we both stink!" Elsa said, willing to be hugged.

The dragon tilted its head and lifted it again, then thump... thump, it turned and extended its massive tail. Blomp! It sat down and looked at them.

"Huh? You want us to get on?" Adrian asked.

Hrrrh, the dragon replied, nodding.

"Come on, Elsa," Adrian urged.

"Uh... are you sure about this?" Elsa countered.

"Yeah, if we die, we die together," Adrian replied.

"You really! Please don't joke about that!" Elsa retorted.

Finally, they both climbed the dragon's tail and walked to its back, to the middle. Groaaaaar!Flap... flap! The dragon began to flap its wings until Adrian and Elsa had to cover their faces from the wind. The dragon started to hover above the ground and finally shot into the sky.

"Whoaaaaa!" Adrian and Elsa screamed.

But once they were in the sky, they could see a beautiful panorama, and only then did they see the entirety of Jimmy and Irene's legacy island. Elsa continued to hug Adrian's waist, who was holding onto a horn on the dragon's back. After that, the dragon moved towards the central continent at high speed, flying over the ocean.

Upon reaching the central continent, Adrian and Elsa could see a medieval European-style village on the coast and a harbor filled with ships resembling old pirate vessels. Because it was night, the village was illuminated by lights similar to medieval European streetlights that used candles, but they appeared much brighter. Adrian, who had seen files in his house, knew that these lights used magic because it was written in the files. The lights truly made the village atmosphere beautiful.

The dragon continued to soar towards the center of the continent, passing the coastal village. They could see vast grasslands with a road in the middle. Soon after, they arrived at a city surrounded by fortifications, with a castle on a hill inside the city.

"Wow, a castle! We're really in an isekai, Adrian," Elsa exclaimed.

"Yeah, this is amazing," Adrian replied.

Hrrrh. The dragon ascended, avoiding the castle, but Adrian and Elsa could see they were flying high above the castle and passing it. Elsa hugged Adrian's waist and smiled. Adrian also held Elsa's arm, which was hugging him, and gripped a horn on the dragon's back, smiling.

"If we were to live here, would you want to?" Adrian asked.

"As long as you're with me, whether it's in this world or our real world, it's all the same," Elsa answered.

They flew over mountains and descended into valleys, then emerged again. Although their hearts pounded and their heartbeats increased, they looked happy and joyful. After they were satisfied with their tour,

"Can you take us home?" Adrian asked.

Hrrrh.

The dragon turned and headed back towards the vast ocean to return to their island. After they were back on the beach and dismounted with shaky legs, the dragon extended its head towards them again. It looked at them with its large eyes. Adrian and Elsa held its nose and stroked it. The dragon looked happy, then it lifted its head upwards. Groaaaaar! It roared loudly.

"You... miss Mom and Dad, don't you?" Adrian asked.

"You understand its roar?" Elsa asked.

"It looks happy. It seems to recognize us because of our hearts," Adrian replied.

"Is that so? I'm even more eager to learn magic now. Does this dragon have a name?" Elsa asked.

"Galvin," Adrian said.

"Huh? How do you know?" Elsa asked.

"Somehow I heard its voice. Try it (turning to the dragon). Galvin!" Adrian shouted.

Hrrrh? The dragon turned and immediately lowered its head in front of Adrian, its eyes fixed on him.

"See? I told you," Adrian said.

"Hehe, how come I didn't hear it? Maybe he's Dad's pet, because Dad saved Mom with a dragon, right?" Elsa said.

"Haha, you're right," Adrian replied.

Adrian stroked Galvin, then asked him to go home. Galvin seemed to nod and immediately flapped his wings to fly away. Adrian and Elsa covered their faces with their arms and waved.
