On the day the academy was being opened to the freshmen, Tian Liu was up early again. He established a routine of training his body in the morning and late afternoon then training his qi core in the early afternoon and night. This was the perfect balance for the speed of his cultivation. The stronger and healthier your body is the faster it can help you cultivate.
After his morning run he took a bath in the same lake and headed back home. The sun was just about to rise so Tian Liu used that extra time to get some cultivating in.
But before he knew it, it was already time for the first Gu Xing academy lesson.
Tian Liu and Gao Wan went to the Gu Xing academy.
There were 3 buildings conjoined together. 1 long one in the middle and 2 averagely sized ones connecting to it vertically on the ends. There was a gate in front leading to the main training grounds in the middle of the buildings. That's where the students were.
"Welcome to your first lesson as a cultivator!" A middle aged man with a hefty beard shouted.
"There are many talents in this year's group, so be prepared for a very competitive time. You won't get everything easily just because you're a cultivator. This doesn't mean the ones with not as much talent should lose motivation! If you work hard enough you may surpass the talented ones. But you will have to dedicate an extreme amount of work to your cultivation."
Tian Liu saw through all of the talk. This speech was just to make stronger horses for the talented ones to train with. They will eventually lose motivation as they aren't as strong as the more talented ones and give up. Even if they don't give up, they will never be as strong as the talented ones. That's what happened to Tian Liu in his past life.
But when you compare talent to 100,000 years of training, talent is bound to lose.
The teacher then proceeded to demonstrate to the students their signature Novice Xing cultivation technique. This was a much inferior cultivation technique compared to the one Tian Liu was using so he decided to use this time to cultivate. When he was cultivating it looked like he was sleeping so he closed his eyes while standing up.
As the lesson was over there was already a clear divide within this year's cultivators.
There were the weak ones, normally the people whose qi purity were below 30 percent. The weak ones normally are the biggest group but that wasn't the case for this year. Weak people stick together for survival, as 2 is better than one. There were the average ones, the people who had a qi purity from 30-60 percent. This group had a lot more people than usual. The talent this year really was something. Average people stick together because they have no one else.
There were talented individuals. They were made up of people with a 60 percent qi purity and above. This was probably going to be the future Gu Xing clan elders. Talented people stick together for status.
Then there was Tian Liu. He didn't get into any group cause he didn't need to. Currently he was the strongest cultivator in the room. This was because the talents didn't get to use their biggest advantage yet, and that was their speed of leveling up.
With 100,000 years of fighting experience Tian Liu could kill everyone here, he could kill Gao Wan if he wanted to.
'But that wouldn't be fun,' Tian Liu thought. 'His death needed to be more painful.'
