Entering his apartment, Klaus sat on his bed and opened his system.
[Daily Mission Completed]
[+2 Upgrade Points/ +1 Point to Body/+1000 Eurodollars/Full Recover Pill]
As the point was added to his body, he felt a new found strength fill his body. It was not much, but still noticeable.
Seeing a secondary beep from his neuralink telling him 1000 eddies had been deposited, he looked down at the recovery pill in his hand. Taking the pill, Klaus felt his body begin to feel light, as the fatigue from the workout left his body, and he was filled with a new vigor.
"Damn, this is incredible...If I could replicate this, it would definitely hit the top of the market," Klaus said with a grin.
"I can focus on that later, for now let's see what these upgrade points can do," Klaus said, pulling out his pistol and holding it.
[Tamayura: Power Pistol]
[Max Damage: 45]
[Effective Range: 36 Meters]
[Recoil: 8]
[Ammo Capacity: 8]
[Upgrade Cost: 1 Point]
Without hesitation, Klaus used the point. Once he did, a dim blue light covered the gun until it was no longer visible.
Once the light faded away, in his hand was a completely different pistol from before. Now in his hand was a larger, dark grey pistol with a blue light outlining the barrel, instead of a magazine, now chambered was a ten-shot revolver with slightly glowing bullets.
[Tamayura: Blitz Power Revolver]
[Max Damage: 250]
[Effective Range: 50 Meters]
[Recoil: 3]
[Ammo Capacity: 10]
[Upgrade Cost: 2 Point]
"In... Incredible, the range almost doubled while the damage increased by over 3 times."
[This is only the most basic upgrade you will get used to it.] The system spoke
Walking over to his closet, Klaus opened it to find a few knives, a machete, a katana, and body armor.
Grabbing the body armor, Klaus scanned it.
[Border Guard multilayer aramid vest]
[Armor: +5]
[Upgrade Cost: 1]
Pressing yes again, Klaus watched as the green vest began to glow just like his gun had a few moments ago. Once the glow ended, a small black chest plate was in his hands.
[Nano multilayer aramid vest]
[Armor: +115]
[Upgrade Cost: 5]
"115...I don't even think any armor in the game reached the high," Klaus said in surprise.
Putting on the chest piece, he was even more surprised as black nano bots expanded from the chestplate, covering his whole torso and arms in a thin black layer.
Putting on a jacket and long black pants, Klaus reholstered his new gun and walked out of his apartment. Seeing Alicia at the register of the convenience store, Klaus stopped by and brought a pack of chocolate bars.
Unlike most residents of this world, Klaus didn't drink or smoke; it wasn't his fix, but he had a crazy sweet tooth that would act up. Starting the chocolate bar, he walked deeper into Dog Town. Passing through some alleyways and dogtown guards under Kurt Hansen Klaus's control, they reached the underground. A part of Dogtown was that the more sensitive items could be traded without judgment.
Walking around, Klaus kept his eyes out for different weapon vendors. As he did, he found a young man about his age with cybernetic arms and an obvious chip on his shoulder. Walking up to him, Klaus spoke.
"Not many customers?"
"Naw, just started selling people don't trust my gear yet,' the boy sighed.
"What if I had a way to make your shit a stock above the rest?"
"Look choom you either buying or you can fuck off. Don't have time for your scams,' the man said, pissed off as he placed a pistol on the table.
Taking out his Klaus, he placed it on the table with a grin.
"Alright, test out the gun and tell me whether I'm a punk or I got good shit," Klaus said
Looking down at the gun he ain't never seen in Night City before, the boy's interest was piqued. Picking up the gun, he felt it before pointing it at his test dummy. Pulling the trigger, he felt barely any recoil as a blue blur fired from the gun. Once it made contact with he dummy, it blew a hole at least four inches in the center of its chest.
"Holy shit choom...this some real iron you got here...How much?" the boy asked with a greedy grin on his face
"This one is not for sale, but I can make your gear just as good at this if not better," Klaus replied, taking his gun back.
"Alright..what do you want? Something like that doesn't go for free?" the boy asked.
"Simple, you provide the weapons, I make them better. Second, I take fifty percent of the income," Klaus said
"Fifty, are you crazy, man? I ain't taking that," the boy replied
"Calm down and think about it, how much would you buy my gun for if you could afford it?" Klaus asked
" A piece like that, you can easily get 20k from it."
"Alright, now, how much could a whole inventory of pistols, shotguns, rifles, and SMGs, like this, sell for?"
"...Alright fine, you got yourself a deal. How many of these can you make a day?"
"One item a day,"
"One a day...hmm, that's not enough, but I guess the rarer we make them, the more money we can get from it," the boy thought for a moment.
"Alright, but what's your plan against people who find out about these guns and try to take them?" the boy asked.
"I will deal with that...for now, focus on getting the first guns you want to improve," Klaus replied
"Fine then, choom we got ourselves a partnership," the boy said, holding his hand out.
"Good...names Hargraves," Klaus said, shaking the boy's hand.
As he did, Klaus pulled the boy close.
"You try to fuck me over or try to run. I will kill you, got it?" Klaus said with a smile
"Don't worry, this money machine is my future. Names Billy by the way," The boy replied with an arrogant grin
