The Battle of New York raged. From a secure, invisible vantage point in the MCU (a small, stabilized portal opened to a deserted rooftop high above Manhattan, barely large enough for me to peer through), I watched the chaos unfold. The Chitauri poured through the wormhole, the Avengers, raw and untested as a unit, struggled to contain the invasion. It was a symphony of destruction and heroism, exactly as my meta-knowledge had predicted. I saw Iron Man flying through the city, saw Captain America rallying civilians, saw the Hulk smashing, Thor striking, Hawkeye sniping, and Natasha orchestrating the ground efforts.

My interventions, though subtle, had clearly had an impact. Tony's new Arc Reactor blueprint likely meant he had more power, greater efficiency, giving him an edge. Fury's intelligence on Loki's tactics and the Chitauri command ship must have been put to use, because the team seemed to unite faster, their focus sharper. Casualties, while still immense, felt… slightly less catastrophic than the raw, unedited memories of the movie suggested. It was a strange, humbling experience to witness history unfold, knowing I had played a tiny, unseen part in shaping it.

"Alright, Adam, this is what it feels like to be a cosmic stagehand. You don't get the applause, but you know you helped the show go on. And you helped save a lot of extras. Good job, me. Now, for the clean-up. And the big reveal. No more whispering in the shadows. It's time for the Avengers to know about me, or at least, the version of me I want them to know."

In the aftermath, the city was a wreck, but the spirit of New York, and the world, was unbroken. The Avengers were hailed as heroes, a new, powerful force emerging onto the global stage. I waited a few days, letting the dust settle, letting the initial shock and awe dissipate into the mundane bureaucracy of cleanup and recovery.

Then, I initiated contact. This time, not with cryptic messages or shadowy appearances, but with a direct, albeit carefully managed, proposition. I knew they were meeting at a classified SHIELD facility, coordinating cleanup efforts and debriefing.

I portaled directly into a secure, unused conference room within that facility, a place I knew would eventually be used for storage. My Covert Operations (Infiltration/Espionage) skill made the entry seamless, bypassing every sensor and camera. I then sent an untraceable, high-priority alert to Fury's personal comms, a short message: "Check Conference Room 7. You have a visitor. Someone who can help you connect more dots. Don't send a tactical team. Send a negotiator. And maybe some coffee."

Fury arrived first, flanked by a few un-armored but tense agents, his eye narrowed, radiating suspicion. Then came Tony, his face still smudged with exhaustion but his eyes sharp with renewed curiosity. Steve followed, his expression grim but his posture alert. Natasha, her movements silent, took a position near the door. Even Bruce Banner, looking more tired than angry, ambled in, drawn by the commotion.

"Adam," Fury said, his voice a low growl, his gaze sweeping over me. "I knew it. The whispers. The impossible data. So, the 'Friend' and the 'Broker' are one and the same. Who exactly are you, and how did you do that?" He gestured vaguely at my impossible appearance within his secure facility.

"My name is Adam Stiels," I stated, my voice calm, projecting confidence. "And as I told Natasha, I'm a broker. Of realities. Of information. I came here because this world, your world, is about to face challenges that transcend anything you've ever imagined. And I believe I can help."

Tony scoffed, but there was a hint of genuine interest in his voice. "The guy who gave me the super Arc Reactor blueprint. I knew you were something special. So, 'Broker,' what's your pitch? You got a new line of interdimensional insurance? Because after what just happened, I might actually be interested."

"My 'pitch,' Tony, is simple: unity in the face of universal threats," I replied, ignoring his sarcasm. "What you just experienced with Loki and the Chitauri? That's just the tip of the iceberg. The universe, or rather, the multiverse, is a much bigger, more dangerous place than you realize. And you're not the only planet facing these kinds of threats. There are other Earths. Other heroes. And soon, you'll need to work together."

I brought up my holographic interface again, projecting the conceptual map I had shown Natasha, this time with more detail, highlighting not just the interconnected Earths but also subtle representations of escalating cosmic threats, including the distinct, menacing cloud that represented the Dominators. "I have the ability to travel between these realities. To gather information. To identify weaknesses. And to, eventually, help forge connections between these different worlds and their defenders."

I then brought out my "proof." I held up the Mark II Boot Repulsor. "This, Tony, is from your lab. A prototype. A piece of your early genius. I acquired it as part of a trade for the Arc Reactor blueprint I provided." I then held up Steve Rogers' WWII Dog Tag. "This, Captain, is from you. A symbol of your unwavering spirit. Acquired in exchange for intelligence that will help you uncover a deep-seated conspiracy within your own ranks." Finally, I showed Natasha Romanoff's Distinctive Hair Clip. "And this, Natasha, is yours. A testament to your stealth and resourcefulness. Traded for actionable intel that saved lives."

Their reactions varied. Tony's eyes widened in recognition and grudging respect. Steve looked at his dog tag, then at me, a thoughtful, almost solemn expression on his face, the skepticism still there but softened by the tangible proof. Natasha remained impassive, but I could see the subtle shift in her posture, the slight relaxation that indicated she was taking me seriously. Bruce, ever the scientist, looked fascinated by the holographic projections, his mind undoubtedly trying to reconcile the impossible.

"You're saying there are other Earths?" Bruce asked, his voice quiet, filled with a raw scientific curiosity. "Parallel dimensions? And you can… travel between them? And trade knowledge?"

"Precisely, Doctor Banner," I confirmed, nodding. "And not just travel. I can act as a conduit. A broker. Imagine a world where your combined intellect, your combined strength, isn't limited to just one Earth. Where you can share strategies, technologies, and even allies, to face threats that are too big for any single world to handle." I then hinted at the Dominators. "There's an alien race known as the Dominators currently targeting a parallel Earth. They're conquerors. Technologically advanced. And ruthless. If they succeed there, they might well set their sights here."

Fury rubbed his temples, clearly processing an unprecedented amount of information. "This is… beyond anything we've dealt with. You're talking about a multiversal strategic alliance. On what authority, Adam? And what's your ultimate goal in all this?"

"My authority, Director Fury, is necessity. The threats are coming, whether we're ready or not," I stated, my voice firm. "My goal is simple: to save as many lives as possible. To ensure both your world and the worlds connected to it survive. I'm not here to control you, or to dictate terms. I'm here to offer a service. A unique perspective. An unseen hand that can help bridge the impossible."

I then presented my proposal for a secure, discreet communication channel. "I can facilitate a 'hotline,' if you will, between your world and this parallel Earth. Encrypted. Untraceable. For sharing critical intelligence, coordinating responses, and preparing for the larger threats. It would be entirely at your discretion to use it. No strings attached, beyond the shared goal of protecting your respective realities. Consider it a proof of concept. A pilot program for interdimensional defense."

Tony, ever the pragmatist, was already intrigued. "A hotline? Between universes? That's… that's quite a feat of engineering. How would that even work?"

"Details to follow, Tony," I said, a slight smile. "But rest assured, it'll be secure. And effective. What do you say, Avengers? Director Fury? Are you willing to open a new line of communication? To accept the possibility that the universe just got a whole lot bigger?"

Silence filled the room as they processed the enormity of my words. They exchanged glances, a silent conversation passing between the assembled heroes and the spymaster. It was a leap of faith, but the evidence I'd presented, combined with the sheer audacity of my proposal, was compelling.

Finally, Steve spoke, his voice steady. "If what you say is true, Adam, and you're truly here to help, then we have a duty to listen. We protect this world. If there are other worlds, and other people who need help, and a way to work together… then we have to consider it. We always fight for those who can't fight for themselves. Director Fury?"

Fury stared at me for another long moment, then slowly nodded, a grudging acceptance in his posture. "Alright, 'Broker.' You've got your pilot program. But one wrong move, one hint of a hidden agenda, and you'll find out why SHIELD is so good at making things disappear. Including uninvited interdimensional guests."

"Wouldn't have it any other way, Director," I replied, a genuine smile. "Pleasure doing business with you all. The real work, as they say, has just begun."

No trades were made in this immediate reveal, as the focus was on establishing trust and revealing my nature. My TP balance remained at 925. This was about laying the groundwork for future collaboration, not immediate gains. The ultimate currency here was trust.
