Synopsis
The Unseen Judge No sin goes unseen. No debt goes unpaid. From the moment the first spark of life ignited in the void, the law was written: every act of cruelty, every drop of spilled blood, every whispered lie would one day be answered. Kings and beggars, warriors and thieves—none could outrun the reckoning woven into the fabric of existence itself. The Greeks called it Nemesis. The old religions spoke of scales and hellfire. But those were only shadows of the truth. The truth is simpler. Somewhere between the ticking of stars and the silence of graves, there is a force that watches. It does not forget. It does not forgive. And when the time comes, it does not knock. It simply appears—in the corner of your vision, in the hush between heartbeats—and offers you a choice you do not deserve. Confess.

"Man escapes no sin." Every living human, no matter who they are, must pay for their sins. When the creator created the universe, he gave mankind a chance to live in peace and harmony, showed us the way to live our life in peace. Mankind never stopped their sin, no matter how much the creator gave them. From the ancient Greek period until now, mankind has committed countless horrible sins. No matter who it was—whether the king of Troy or the most ruthless murderer in history—every single soul that committed sin couldn't escape it, no matter what they did. Man, woman, all must pay for their sin.

[System - "You must pay"]

June 25, 2024 -

Kazuma Shirogane, a sinner. A man who once committed a crime that will soon become his nightmare. Kazuma was sleeping in the morning. All of a sudden, his eyes opened; he felt something, something he never felt before. "What was that?" he whispered. As Kazuma thought it was just a bad feeling, his eyes started burning, and he began rubbing them constantly. After a few minutes, the feeling went away. Kazuma got off his bed and started making his way to the kitchen. His body felt weird, his vision blurry. As he reached for the water bottle, he suddenly felt something and quickly turned to his right but didn't see anything. "What's happening? Too much to drink, I guess," he mumbled to himself. As Kazuma was drinking water, suddenly a screen popped up in front of his eyes—a crimson squared screen, glitching in the air. Kazuma took a step back and saw it, his heart racing in his chest, his eyes wide open in shock. The system was still glitching. All of a sudden, it stabilized. Kazuma, still in shock, slowly smiled, thinking it was just a dream. He rubbed his eyes again and again. He rushed to the sink and washed his face, thinking it was just a bad dream, but the system was still there, hovering, following his vision no matter where he went.

After a minute, Kazuma understood it wasn't a dream, nor was it fake—it was a real screen floating in the air. Kazuma had an idea; he took out his phone and took a picture of the system, but when he looked at the photo, there was nothing—completely blank. The system wasn't visible in the picture.

Kazuma was losing his mind, but after a minute, he calmed down and started thinking. He reached his hand toward the system and tried to touch it. As soon as he did, the screen turned red, and strange text rushed across it—not English nor Spanish, something unreadable to humans.

After running some creepy codes, the system switched to English.

[System - Good morning, sinner. Your time is over. Please choose a punishment.]

Kazuma looked shocked and confused as he read the messages, unable to believe it. "Is this a prank?" he whispered to himself.

[System - Please select a punishment.]

Kazuma started screaming, losing his mind. He quickly ran away, dashing down the hallway, but the system followed his vision no matter where he went. Kazuma rushed out of his apartment and banged on his neighbor's door. He kept knocking over and over. "Coming!"

As soon as his neighbor opened the door, he saw Kazuma—pale and terrified. Kazuma grabbed his collar in frustration and demanded, "You can see it, right?" His neighbor was shocked and pushed him back, saying he couldn't see anything. Kazuma completely lost it. His neighbor tried to approach him, but Kazuma ran back to his apartment and locked himself inside.

[System - If not chosen, death will be confirmed.]

Kazuma's heart pounded, his eyes wide with terror, his hands shaking. He looked at the system and reached to choose one of the options. The moment grew more and more intense. He feared death—just the thought of it drove him mad.

[System - Time remaining - 1:22.]

Kazuma looked at his phone. His wallpaper was a picture of his fiancée. He closed his eyes and tapped Loop.

[System - Loop Selected.]

[System - Punishment initiated.]

The system disappeared. Kazuma smiled, then burst into laughter like a madman, convinced it was all just a bad dream.

He rushed to his bedroom to pack his bags and go to his parents. As he hurriedly packed, his phone fell from his pocket, the screen shattering. "Damn it, not now!" he yelled. The bedroom lights flickered. A voice from the hallway sent chills down his spine. He peeked out but saw nothing. He went back to packing. The lights flickered again, and the voice returned.

"Kazuma... I am sorry."

This time, Kazuma froze. He couldn't believe he was hearing that voice again—one that had been gone for years. Slowly, he stepped toward the door and peeked again. Blood trails ran from the hallway to the kitchen. His whole body shook as memories flashed—the night, the candles, the blood. He followed the trail, the voice growing louder.

"P-Please don't kill me... N-Nooo!"

Kazuma reached the kitchen and saw himself—wearing a black suit, knife in hand—standing over a bleeding girl begging for mercy. He was reliving his past.

Past -

Five years ago, Kazuma killed his ex-girlfriend, Aoi Tsukimori. Why? Because she wanted to leave him after enduring his mental abuse. One night, drunk, he called her over. "Do you want to leave me?" he asked. Terrified, she said, "Yes." Enraged, he choked her, smashed a vase over her head, then stabbed her in the back. He laughed as she crawled, bleeding, through the hallway, begging for her life. He stabbed her 26 times, then dumped her body in a river, weighed down with rocks. The police never found her. People assumed she vanished. Kazuma moved on like nothing happened.

Present -

Now, Kazuma watched himself murder Aoi. He screamed, tried to stop himself, but his hands passed through—he was just a spectator, forced to relive his sin endlessly.

He ran back to his room, crying, screaming, but the loop reset. Again and again, he saw Aoi's terror, her death, his own cruelty. He was trapped, a sinner forced to witness his crime forever.

Hours passed. Kazuma broke down, sobbing. "Please forgive me... I can't... I can't anymore!" He curled into a ball, begging for mercy.

[System - Good evening, sinner.]

[System - Please enjoy the endless loop of your own sin.]

Kazuma screamed, clawing at the hollow screen.

[System - Congratulations. Now you have access to quick death or continue.]

Kazuma's eyes widened. He laughed hysterically. "I get it... It's a test! If I choose death, I escape!"

His face twisted—guilt and madness mixing. He reached for Death, then turned back one last time, watching himself kill Aoi.

"I'm sorry, Aoi."

He tapped Death.

[System - Death selected.]

[System - Judgement complete.]

[System - Congratulations, sinner. Your time is over.]

Two days later, when Kazuma's family couldn't reach him, they found him in his kitchen—eyes wide open, face frozen in horror. The coroner ruled it alcohol-induced heart failure.

Kazuma Shirogane had paid for his sins.
