Kong, originally Ying Kong, was a typical salaryman fresh out of college. Four years ago, during a vacation spent playing the Genshin Impact mobile game while watching One Piece, he unexpectedly died of overwork and was transported to the One Piece world.
He possessed the body of a new recruit in the Marine Headquarters on Red Line, a recruit who had also died from overtraining. Coincidentally, this recruit was also named Kong and had blond hair.
After truly understanding the circumstances of this world, his initial plan to become a pirate was shattered.
He witnessed countless islands ravaged by pirates, the populace disemboweled and hung at town entrances, all to satisfy the pirates' bloodlust.
Reality was far crueler than the anime depicted.
Back when he watched the anime, Kong believed the pirates were good and the Marines were bad.
However, after delving deeper, he discovered that pirates like Luffy were a minority; eighty percent of pirates were utterly wicked villains.
Coupled with his own lack of strength, he remained in Marine Headquarters. It was tiring, but at least he wouldn't die.
Paimon, meanwhile, acted as his cheat, similar to a system, except hers was a physical manifestation.
In the Genshin Impact game, Paimon was jokingly called the Time God, capable of manipulating time, but here, she lacked such terrifying power.
Her function was to automatically generate Primogems whenever Kong captured pirates with bounties.
The exchange rate between Primogems and Beli was 10,000 to 1; meaning a pirate with a bounty of one million Beli would yield 100 Primogems.
These Primogems were used to draw items from the Genshin Impact world, costing 160 Primogems per draw.
Over three years, Kong had performed forty draws, meaning that in four years, the total bounty of the pirates he captured amounted to 64 million Beli.
Of course, as a Marine, not a bounty hunter, he didn't receive this money; he only received a few hundred thousand Bely in rewards.
He didn't resign to become a bounty hunter for the sake of those sixty-plus million Beli; it wouldn't be worthwhile. He had a powerful mentor:
Fleet Admiral Sengoku of Marine Headquarters! That was his greatest backing.
After a year, Kong, along with his unit, captured several pirates with million-Beli bounties, including one with a ten-million Beli bounty, enough for a ten-pull.
He obtained two character cards, the abilities he currently used:
Kaeya (Ice Swordsman):
- Frostgnaw: Releases a cone of ice energy four meters in front, possessing strong knockback and freezing capabilities. Cooldown: 10 seconds.
- Glacial Waltz (Ultimate): Summons three illusory ice shards to hover around him, freezing the sea surface and damaging melee units. Duration: 20 seconds. Cooldown: 1 hour.
Lisa (Electro Mage):
- Thunderbolt: Instantly creates an electric orb with low power and a slight paralyzing effect, adding an electro sigil to the enemy (maximum three sigils). Cooldown: 1 second.
- Charged Thunderbolt: Creates a thunderstorm within a ten-square-meter radius, dealing area-of-effect damage and triggering a thunderstorm for high damage. Cooldown: 10 seconds.
Instant and Charged Thunderbolts share a cooldown; meaning after using Charged Thunderbolt, Instant Thunderbolt cannot be used to apply sigils for ten seconds.
- Violet Lightning (Ultimate): Creates a six-meter diameter thunderstorm area, releasing a lightning strike every second on all enemies within the area, adding Electro elemental reaction.
These are just the basics. The power of individual characters and skills isn't overwhelmingly strong, but combining characters with different elemental attributes produces special effects.
Kaeya's ice and Lisa's lightning, when used together, trigger a Superconduct reaction, significantly reducing the opponent's defense—Kong's most frequently used tactic.
Most importantly, each character has a level, starting at level one and maxing out at level 90. Once a character reaches level 90, they can be materialized.
Unfortunately, the upgrade materials are also obtained through gacha pulls. Currently, Lisa is Kong's highest-level character at level 62, while Kaeya is at level 53; both are still some distance from materialization.
Overall, while different from the original Genshin Impact game's setting, these are still powerful abilities.
It was precisely because of these abilities that he was discovered by Sengoku during a joint exercise, subsequently becoming his disciple and undergoing three years of grueling training.
In three years, Kong mastered two of the Rokushiki techniques: Paper (Kami-e) and Iron Body (Tekkai). Combined with Kaeya and Lisa's abilities, he single-handedly captured three pirates with ten-million Beli bounties, rising to the rank of Lieutenant Commander and being appointed as a patrol officer in Headquarters.
A patrol officer is similar to an inspector; their duty is to inspect other Marine branches, especially bases outside of Headquarters.
After all, the Marines are a large and diverse organization; it's inevitable that there would be some corrupt individuals among them.
For example, on this trip from Headquarters to the East Blue, Kong traveled on the ship of Marine Vice Admiral Garp. Garp's mission involved capturing Marine Colonel Morgan, a corrupt official. Originally, Kong's mission was to bring Morgan back, but Garp unexpectedly intervened, taking over the mission. Kong and Paimon were happy to relax.
Kong suspects Garp's trip to the East Blue was likely due to the powerful old man missing his grandson and taking this opportunity to visit.
However, since Morgan is already imprisoned, it means Luffy has already set sail, and Garp's plan likely failed.

Kong, wearing a cape with gold epaulets, walked into a restaurant, dragging the captured members of the Bakumon Pirate Crew, tightly bound with rope.
This is Paimon's second ability: storage.
