Cherreads

Chapter 2 - Fate uncode chapter 2 :Destiny breaker

‎I sat on the ground and said:

‎"Let me tell you. When we were kids, we were playing while being watched, and you suddenly ran with me because you wanted to be alone with me. And while doing that, you fell underground. The stairs were all bloody, and it was so scary seeing you like that. Then I screamed for the first time."

‎"Your father came—didn't even feel a thing—while your body floated in the air, and all the blood covered you with a dark thing glowing around your body. Your father carried me and said: 'Let's move back so we won't get cursed.' I was so scared. From that day on, my family and I stayed close to you so they could make sure I wouldn't tell anyone about you. I was told not to bring it up again, even threatened."

‎"From that point on, I acted normal with you. A year later, since I was so addicted to games and anime, I spent half my time on the dark web thinking I could find some info about you—about what happened—out of survival instinct. I tried and tried, until one day I accessed something. It took time, but I found out that the 8 would awaken this year. But still—they only awakened today."

‎"So I knew you're not one of the 8... you're one of the 4."

‎"When the 8 appeared outside, there were 4 other Awakeners—more like vessels for strong monsters that live in the other world before humans got there. Like you. The Dark Witch Elf."

‎"The 4, unlike the 8, awaken from birth—but they have fluctuations. They can't control their vessels, and the monsters take over their bodies like it's nothing. They need one thing: greater willpower than their vessel. That means you need to beat them mentally. Basically, their mental health is their weakness. The less stable you are mentally, the more they dominate."

‎---

‎She was completely someone else. Just seeing her face made me feel excited. She was speechless.

‎I continued to talk while she covered her ears, though she was still listening, even saying "Stop..."

‎I said:

‎"So the more she grew, the more you feared her mental strength. You interfered with the process and tried to dominate her. But even as a 10-year-old, her willpower was almost perfect. So you tried to break her. You fought with her family and caused problems. The more she saw things from the inside, the more her mind cracked."

‎"I was the one who proposed the idea to your father. I told him to act cold—to act like he didn't care. He did exactly that. Her mother too. They paid me pretty well and told me: 'Do what you can to help us.' So I told him to send you abroad and said you'd return on your own. He did the same. The moment you lived with strangers, everything you had seemed like a waste. But the real her was open to me."

‎"She felt that loneliness. I filled that gap with chatting—voice. We made our secret chat like home to her. So I would be the one she loves and cherishes. So the moment you came back and tried to make me suicide—her father noticed and paid me every single time for what you did. They taught me how to spy on you in school—even how to fight using you as an excuse."

‎"I got into an almost elite school. And now, I made my first million in 2 years. Congratulations to me. Right now, this day, you'll have to fight me to settle everything."

‎"Because I'm seeing a system that says: 'Defeat the Witch'..."

‎While smiling.

‎---

‎She was shocked and said:

‎"How do you know I'm a witch?"

‎I replied:

‎"This whole concept of the new 8 and 4 is said to be a reincarnation of the first. Out of the 4, two used holy powers—which can't be your case—and two used cursed and dark magic. One was male, the other female. The vessel's owner must have the same gender. That makes sense. You're the curse user's reincarnation. And she seems to be an elf. I asked you... and your reaction said it all."

‎She said,

‎"You're a smart one..."

‎Then I saw the elf side of her claim.

‎She said,

‎"You're a smart kid... but way more dangerous."

‎I asked,

‎"How so?"

‎She said she lived her life eating, enjoying, and lusting—she didn't know a single thing about being poor. Until one day, the people she believed in and trusted killed her. Not out of hate—but out of fear.

‎"They feared me. Because I killed creatures for fun. I did whatever I wanted, though I was immature."

‎I said,

‎"You're still immature."

‎She screamed,

‎"Let me finish what I'm saying!"

‎She continued:

‎"I could never hurt anyone who took care of me. But I killed a lot. And to be honest—the ones who killed me were my father and mother. They feared I'd become a massacre. They said, 'She will naturally let her guard down. So when she does—we kill her.' And when they killed me, they were smiling. Just like you. That gave me déjà vu. It made me sweat. It dropped me to 0. That worked in your favor. Guess luck is on your side after all."

‎Then she said:

‎"I already know I can't beat you. Her body is a joke. I thought it wouldn't matter if I became one with the owner or took over. I said in my next life I wouldn't believe in anyone. So yeah, even though 4000 years passed—it felt like 24 hours of sleep. And damn, I woke up in her body. Figures."

‎---

‎I said,

‎"Let it all out. Unify with her. You were playing the game pretty carefully—but not that much. You should become one with her. You're still hanging on to your past. Let it go. Okay? I'm guessing this is the day someone you cared about died, right?... Wait—can't be—you... psycho."

‎She said this was the day she died. She knew it. Her family had been manipulated. The moment she died, her whole clan was slaughtered. The flowers were for them.

‎Then she said:

‎"Please take good care of her... or me... I mean, we will be one."

‎But I straight-up rejected her.

‎"No matter how hard it is—forget the past. The past is the past and it can't be erased. I want to live a new life where I can be my own self. The cold me. The one who's sick of acting average and weak."

‎Then she said,

‎"Let me give you the life you want. Accept the challenge."

‎And claimed defeat.

‎---

‎And… that, my friends, made me an Irregular Awakener.

‎The 9th Awakener.

‎---

‎Title: DESTINY BREAKER

‎---

‎I saw some changes—mana was flowing all over the place. It overshadowed her. I was given a special gift by the elf as an apology.

‎My life as the girl's savior and a millionaire in this world changed—to one with a special awakening.

‎Neither of the 8.

‎Nor of the 4.

‎Then she was already becoming one with her.

‎I said,

‎"Don't worry… you'll find yourself home when you wake up."

‎After a while, she slept in my chest and whispered,

‎"By the way, thanks… the other day, behind the store... you saved me, didn't you?"

‎I said,

‎"Forget about it. It's okay."

‎Then she said,

‎"You were always there for me… even when I mistreated you. I feel bad not paying you back. I wish… if this chat lasted at least a few days, I could've given you a blast night."

‎I laughed.

‎"Yooo girl, you're taking it too far."

‎Surprisingly, I was hearing two voices.

‎That meant the Sayaka I know… is awake too.

‎Maybe that's why she became so soft out of nowhere.

‎Suddenly… she kissed me.

‎At that very moment, all 8 were awakened, and the fireworks lit up the sky—

‎making my first kiss the most magical moment ever.

‎Today, at the top of a mountain, under a sky full of colors and a moon full of beauty…

‎my first kiss was taken by an elf.

‎Fantastic, right?

‎"I'm gonna find a better man than you," she said.

‎I replied,

‎"Fine by me."

‎I was afraid she would be in a coma for months.

‎Then her father came… and I witnessed a truly familiar moment.

‎I told her father,

‎"I sacrificed my freedom for her."

‎Then lied and said,

‎"I already took some of her darkness into me,"

‎just to convince him to let her be free.

‎Her father paid me the moment I started talking.

‎Then I said,

‎"Hear me out—the Awakeners' signal has been fired.

‎So I need to go with the new 8.

‎But please… take care of my family.

‎You can take the money. All of it.

‎I don't need it.

‎What I want is for you to treat my family like your own.

‎Because money can't buy happiness."

‎He said,

‎"Okay. I promise.

‎They will be my family—not just my neighbors."

‎I told him not to expose his daughter for now.

‎I would cover for the signal, even if it meant getting caught and dragged into another world—

‎just so he could spend time with her.

‎Then I said,

‎"Give me 3 minutes. I'll already be there—they're in the city."

‎Finally, I beat the crap out of the guys who bullied me.

‎I almost killed them.

‎After that, I went to a girl I know from class,

‎snuck into her house, and left some money I had saved for her.

‎Even in the shape I was in, I knew she loved me.

‎But I wished her the best.

‎I came back.

‎They restrained me.

‎I talked to Mom and Dad—they apologized and told me they loved me.

‎I told them I loved them too.

‎Then they asked me something hard:

‎"Name your unborn sister."

‎I smiled.

‎"Nozomi… Yes. Nozomi Ayanagi."

‎And then… we headed to the portal.

‎I was covered with black gems—anti-magic tools used in the war.

‎I was completely restrained by it.

‎Then we moved through the portal…

‎…and I saw them.

‎Eight different kids my age.

‎‎

‎The one who stood out the most: the English Awakener.

‎You could tell he was a noble—

‎his clothes, his hair, his pride.

‎Pure royalty.

‎Next, the Korean kid.

‎All black clothes.

‎I bet even his pants were black.

‎He looked good—silent, composed.

‎Black hair, black eyes, a single black earring in his left ear. Cold and deadly.

‎Then, the American kid.

‎Scar on his face.

‎Had a wild attitude.

‎Total delinquent. Everyone was annoyed by him, but no one dared to say it.

‎Next was the African guy.

‎He looked hot—not like your typical African, but more like an Ethiopian.

‎Sharp features, curly hair, tape-low fade cut.

‎Wearing a cross.

‎Nice job, bro. You looked good.

‎Then, the Chinese girl.

‎So serious, so hard to read.

‎Her outfit was high-class—like she was on a date.

‎And speaking of dates, she brought a Chinese boy with her.

‎He didn't seem like one of us, but she let him use her magic—

‎a spiritual bond.

‎He wasn't chosen, but he became one because of her trust.

‎Already her boyfriend, huh?

‎The Arab girl…

‎Sexy.

‎Shy as hell, but you could see the spark in her eyes.

‎The Australian girl…

‎That flawless body, man.

‎Her curves… her posture… at this age?

‎A masterpiece crafted by God.

‎And then—

‎the Japanese kid.

‎Something about him felt… off.

‎He was quiet, even a little low-key, but he had this quiet glory.

‎Even more intimidating than the American—without even trying.

‎And me?

‎The unexpected one.

‎The ninth.

‎And finally…

‎I was teleported to another world.

‎It didn't take long for me to completely lose it—

‎because the first thing that greeted me…

‎was a sword

‎straight

‎to my eye.

‎Part 6 – Mana Drainage Begins

‎The moment I got teleported, the light was so powerful—

‎not to mention the dizziness.

‎It was so overwhelming…

‎I felt like I had no control over my own body.

‎A lot of things passed through me—

‎like I was some kind of freakin' ghost.

‎I was wondering what happened to the others,

‎since I was teleported while being restrained.

‎Then I saw it—

‎they were protected by some kind of barrier thing.

‎But even with the protection,

‎I could definitely tell they were in worse shape than I was.

‎The moment the dizziness stopped…

‎I felt it—

‎my full power.

‎It was heavier than anything I'd ever felt before.

‎The pressure was so strong,

‎I truly knew then—

‎I've been reborn into another world.

‎I opened my eyes…

‎and saw a beautiful, breathtaking grassland.

‎So full of nature—

‎shimmering lights blending perfectly with the green.

‎It was like a living artwork.

‎Using mana while seeing that scene…

‎was so satisfying,

‎I literally forgot there was a sword

‎pointed right at my eye.

‎I don't know how, when, or why that happened—

‎but I reacted.

‎I deflected the sword,

‎redirecting it from my eye to the other side.

‎Sent it flying by blocking it with my side,

‎then slid and flipped over—

‎still restrained to a chair—

‎and shielded the Australian girl with my body.

‎Yeah…

‎that was surprising.

‎Even I was shocked by how fast I responded.

‎But I acted like I was used to it.

‎In front of me,

‎there were two figures.

‎They wore white cloaks that covered their entire bodies.

‎And in the center,

‎a third man stood—

‎he wore a robe covered in accessories.

‎And beneath that robe…

‎monsters.

‎A lot of them.

‎I could sense them.

‎His aura wasn't his own—

‎it was the aura of beasts.

‎Yet somehow,

‎he had a crown on his head.

‎He walked forward…

‎and congratulated us for landing in the land of England,

‎known as the Great Kingdom of Avangard.

‎The others were still terrified from the earlier attack,

‎not to mention the dizziness still had them shaken.

‎I never thought I'd say this,

‎but thanks to that witch,

‎I gained some resistance.

‎My capacities had increased—at least a bit.

‎Without saying another word,

‎the king turned around and said,

‎"Follow me."

‎I raised my voice.

‎"Your Majesty, I beg your pardon.

‎Allow me to ask a question."

‎The king stopped, turned slightly, and smiled.

‎"What is it?"

‎I lifted my head.

‎"Where are we going, Your Highness?"

‎He replied,

‎"Just follow me to find out."

‎And with that, he walked away.

‎But the two cloaked figures didn't.

‎One circled from behind,

‎the other from the front.

‎They surrounded us,

‎guiding us forward.

‎We kept walking.

‎Farther and farther—

‎until we reached a large building pulsing with mana.

‎It felt like…

‎they were creating something inside.

‎They opened the door and told us to go in.

‎And the moment I stepped in—

‎I lost consciousness.

‎They carried us inside.

‎I tried to stay awake,

‎tried to fight the pull…

‎but it was useless.

‎My vision blurred,

‎my body gave in—

‎and naturally,

‎I blacked out.

‎---

‎When I finally woke up…

‎I found myself in a room—

‎completely empty.

‎Light shone from the ceiling down to the ground,

‎illuminating the whole space.

‎It was so bright,

‎so painfully clean,

‎it felt unreal.

‎I was left questioning myself…

‎> Am I really going to live a life full of glory and explosions...

‎or was all of this just a cruel joke?
