Chapter 1 - 2 Continue

Potatoes appeared in the shoot just after the bell let out its tune making her smile as she started processing them.

After a couple of hours of serving customers her muscles had somewhat formed a memory of it all giving her the ability to quickly serve wave after wave of customers.

In the game she had played back at home she just had to serve food a specific number of times before moving to another restaurant.

She hoped this place was the same as she decided to serve continuously until she was moved to another place.

As she served she noticed that different people entered every time which meant she could probably move to a different restaurant after serving everyone.

Even though she was not sure how many people were in this place she decided not to stop even when she felt as if her arms were about to fall off.

Her conjecture was proven right hours later when the screen appeared before her eyes.

This time it looked different with a brighter background which seemed to have a live show of fireworks congratulating her.

Below the screen she saw the words she had been waiting for all night.

She had unlocked a new restaurant she quickly pressed the continue button.

The world felt like it was shifting beneath her feet as everything around her started to change before she found herself standing in a different restaurant.

Looking around she was immediately drawn to the screen planted next to the counter.

It was still translucent but was a bit more different as it held a lot more functions.

On the top the screen sat her profile picture which held a picture from her previous life and her name making her frown as she clicked on it.

Name: Annette Harrier (no team)

Level: 120

Restaurants : 2

People served : 900

Dishes served :2350

Looking at the numbers she realised that she had served so many people in the past couple of days.

After reading all the details she existed before checking all the other functions.

Which showed she could access the calendar, map, tasks, accounts, customers and house.

Only the house icon was not clear prompting her to tap onto the icon which was at the lowest part of the screen.

A familiar feeling of dizziness assaulted her before she found herself in a different place.

This time it was a house, a small well organized open plan house with a living room, a kitchen and a sleeping area.

Looking around the house she felt relieved to have a place she could rest when not working.

Hearing her stomach rumble she rubbed it gently and watched to the kitchen area which was well furnished with all the necessary gadgets for cooking.

Pulling open the massive refrigerator she was happy to find filled to the brim with ingredients.

She didn't have to think as she pulled some meat and vegetables.

Staring at the ceiling to the floor cabinets at the kitchen corner she opened it revealing the pantry.

She quickly took out some rice and spices before she started processing the ingredients.

She first washed the rice before cooking in a rice cooker while the meat was stir fried with the vegetables producing a delectable smelling stew that made her mouth water.

Sitting on a stool next to the counter she smiled as she stared down at the food before she ravenously started scarfing it down like a starving wolf.

Her movements only stopped when the bowl was empty leaving her in a sprawling position on the counter as she suddenly felt sleepy.

Brown pupils roved all around the room before settling on the pristinely made queen bed in the far side of the room.

The bed looked seductive as she imagined how it would laying on it after all those days of work.

She could already feel its soft cushiony comfort relax her muscles as she ambled towards it in a drunken like stupor.

A moan of relief couldn't help but escape her soft pink lips as she lay on the bed.

It was even better than she had imagined as her long luscious lashes slowly flattered like newly sprang butterfly wings.

A few flatters later her beautiful brown pupils were hidden from the world as she peacefully slept forgetting all about where she was.

As she dreamt of with a smile on her face in another place Maryan was panting as she ran as fast as she could.

Her bear feet felt muscleless as they powerfully smacked on the ground after her daring jump.

Staring back at the waist length wall she knew it was not enough as she kept running.

Just as she had concluded the frothing zombies behind her were only hindered by the wall for a few minutes before some managed to climb over the mangled writhing remains of their fellow zombies.

Despite the small headstart a hungry Maryan had not managed to get very far when she heard the spine chilling moaning and groaning of the zombies.

Looking up ahead she was intrigued by the massive walled compound a few metres ahead of her.

She had no recollection of seeing such a structure back when she had passed herself when the world was still normal.

But thinking of the newly erected shelters in other places she made a gamble and run towards the structure hoping there was a way in.

She had been running for what felt like hours and she knew her weak malnourished body could not hold on any longer.

Just as her legs were about to give out she managed to gather up every last shred of her strength before she leapt for the massive gate.

Her collision with gate was unexpectedly quiet as she lay on it cold surface hopefully hoping that whoever was inside would open it.

A few seconds passed before she realised no one would open the gate for her.

Looking back she could see the hoarde of zombies that were approaching she frantically banged on the hard metallic gate hoping for it to open.

Staring back at the rapidly approaching hoard she wondered why she was trying so hard making her feel hopeless as she mentally prepared herself for death.

Back in the house the silence in the room was suddenly broken by a loud blaring alarm.

Net's still figure suddenly moved as she started to toss and turn before groggily opening her sleep muddles eyes.

Before her the screen appeared again shinning a dim light into her eyes making her frown as she tried to read what it said but couldn't.

Feeling frustrated her finger tapped on the familiar green box promoting the alarm to stop ringing allowing her to finally go back to sleep.
