It was a hot and sticky day.
An alarm clock buzzed at 6:30 in the morning.
A boy sat up in his bedroom.
He shut off his alarm clock, he then began to get ready for the day.
After getting ready, he headed downstairs.
The smell of bacon and eggs filled his nose.
"Good morning David," his mother greeted him warmly.
He smiled back, ""good morning mom."
"Breakfast will be ready soon."
"Ok," David said, as he took a seat at the table.
A few minutes later, breakfast was ready.
David practically inhaled his food.
"Time for karate!.
"I know," David grumbled, as he began to put on his shoes.
David began to walk to karate.
After a few minutes, he made it to a massive dojo.
He stepped inside.
Inside he saw a man. he was meditating..
David called out, "master Harrison, I'm here.
The man slowly turned around.
"Yes, my favorite student is here!!!" he shouted.
"Let's get on with it, shall we?"
"You no the drill, first practice, Second spar and last spar with me."
First came practice.
He had to practice his karate moves.
Then, came sparring with one of the other black belts.
"Ok, you guys know the rules, The fight is a draw if the fight is still ongoing after three minutes.
If someone is knocked down for five seconds, the match is over.
And if someone is knocked out of the ring, The match is over."
"The first match will be David versus Mike."
David and Mike stepped into the ring.
Mike charged, pulling back his fist.
David dodged six years of track made him insanely fast.
David threw a punch, hitting Mike in the jaw.
"As strong as ever," mike said.
"Hmph."
Mike kicked David, sending him skidding back.
David charged, punching him in the face.
"Ouch."
Mike punched him back.
David kicked Mike in the stomach.
Mike doubled over in pain.
David said, you fought well, but it's time to end this fight.
David karate chopped him in The neck, knocking him out.
"And the winner is David!!!" his master shouted.
After the other sparring match was concluded, it was time for David to fight his master.
This time it was Victor, another one of the black belts doing the countdown.
"Three, two, one, go."
David charged, he began to pull back his fist.
But his master blocked it.
His master threw his own punch, hitting David in the jaw.
David Winst.
David kicked his master in the ribs
"You have never defeated me before, let's see if you can do it this time.
his master pulled back his fist, but David dodged.
David kicked his master in the back.
his master kicked David as hard as he could in the ribs.
David was almost sent flying out of the ring, but he managed to kick the ground sending him flying back at his master.
He crashed into his master, sending them both crashing into the ground
Victor began counting
"One, two, three."
David and his master stood up, brushing dust off themselves.
"Nice move David," his master complemented him.
"Thanks master," David said.
"Now shall we continue?" his master asked him.
"Yes we shall," David said.
David tried to sweep his legs, but his master jumped and then kicked him in the chest.
David recoiled in pain.
But David had a plan.
David with all of his strength, grabbed his master, And threw him out of the ring.
"No way, he beat master," the others said in shock.
"Kid you have passed karate."
"No way, I passed."
"You beat me, I have nothing else to teach you."
"After six long years, you finally have passed.
"You were only ten when you started karate.
"And look at you now I think it's safe to say that you have surpassed me."
David left karate for the last time
He then, headed to track.
At track he ran for four miles in the scorching heat.
Then, he headed for archery.
At archery, he scored a total of 60 points.
"You have sure come a long way in six years.
"I know thank you though."
"Take care," his coach told him.
"I Will" David said, as he grabbed his bag.
He began to walk home
As he rounded a corner, A magic circle opened up beneath him.
"What the hell?."
And then he was falling.
