The night was shrouded in darkness, the only sound being the hum of the engine as the car wound its way through the deserted roads. Irina and Wendy were on their way to Wendy's engagement party, the excitement palpable in the air. But it was short-lived.

A loud screech pierced the air as a speeding truck careened around the corner, its headlights illuminating the terrified faces of the sisters. The driver, clearly drunk, lost control of the vehicle, and it slammed into their car with a deafening crash.

The impact sent the car spinning out of control, and it careened off the road, landing with a splintering crash in the nearby river. The water rushed in, icy cold and unforgiving, filling the car with a speed that seemed almost surreal.

Irina was thrown forward, her head spinning from the impact. As she struggled to free herself from the wreckage, she felt Wendy's hand grasping for hers. "Sister..." Irina muttered, her voice shaking with fear.

The water continued to rise, and Irina's panic grew. She turned to Wendy, her eyes wide with terror. "Wendy, we have to get out of here!" But Wendy's face was pale, her eyes glassy.

As the water reached their chests, Wendy's grip on Irina's hand tightened. "Irina...marry Clyde...after I'm gone." The words sent a jolt through Irina's body, like an electric shock.

Irina's eyes widened in horror as she realized the weight of Wendy's words. "What are you saying, Sister? No, no, no!" She thrashed about, trying to break free from the sinking car, but it was no use. The water was too strong, pulling them down with an unforgiving force.

Wendy's voice grew fainter, but Irina clung to her words. "Promise me, Irina...marry Clyde...for me." Irina's heart shattered into a million pieces as she looked at her sister, her vision blurring with tears. She nodded frantically, the movement sending water rushing into her mouth. "I promise, Sister...I promise."

In a burst of strength, Wendy pushed Irina upward, toward the surface. Irina felt herself being lifted, her lungs burning from the lack of oxygen. She broke through the surface, gasping for air, but her gaze was fixed on Wendy's face, her eyes locked on her sister's fading smile.

As Irina looked on, helpless, Wendy's head dipped below the water, her hand slipping from Irina's grasp. The sound of Wendy's last breath was lost in the ripples of the water. Irina's world went dark, her consciousness slipping away with the water that continued to pour into her lungs.

The last thing Irina remembered was the sound of her own voice, a faint whisper on the water's surface. "I promise, Sister..." Then, everything went black.
