As Komoto realized what actually was about to happen, he looked behind and saw the open area to jump from the sanctuary.
"Please make it in time." Komoto pleaded to the fate as he was running, he reached the edge and the fellow others who saw him were smiling as the beings they were fighting falls down since the Dark Lord was killed.
"Komoto, we did it." Marcus yelled as he felt his presence.
"We Won." Mei screamed in happiness.
Just then the top of the sanctuary exploded, Komoto was engulfed in the explosion despite him leaping forward, the shockwave of the dark mana reached hundreds of kilometres.
Mio looked at the explosion with her widen eyes in shock.
"W-Wait a second, I thought we won?" she said with tears in her eyes.
"K-KOMOTO!" Thea screamed in fear of losing him.
"Mio, why are you crying? Doesn't the servant cry when their master dies?" Mei asked.
"I-I am not crying; these are just tears of fear to lose him." she utters as she realized that maybe the master she holds dear has died.
The hundreds of dragons flying in the air destroying and burning things all fell down on the ground still destroying forests and villages but their constant destruction was now stopped.
A bright light in the sky appeared, a white light emerging from the center of the sanctuary.
"I-Is it?" Annie asked with fear in her voice.
"Yes, it is the light which is the indication that the demon lord will return." Novie said.
"But we just defeated the Dark Lord, how will we fight the demon lord?" Anna asked.
"Is it that important right now? We need to find master." Mio said with tears flowing from her eyes.
Far away in some forest Komoto struggled to walk, he was taking support of the nearby trees to reach somewhere.
"F-Father..." his memory triggers where his father sacrificed himself for saving his wife.
"K-Komoto, save my wife… she is your mother afterwards." He said with a proud smile on his face as he was confident that Komoto will always save his mother.
His last word triggers yet another memory, "Mother…" he said as tears rolled down from his eyes.
His mother's head on his laps; bleeding from her mouth and injuries she took on her face.
She struggled to lift her trembling hand; fingers stained with blood of hers, she placed them gently on Komoto's check.
He could feel her fingers trembling in fear of dying, "Komoto" she whispered; her voice so soft which held a lifetime of love and memories.
"I am here, Mom. I am right here with you" Komoto said as tears rolled up in his eyes. She saw her son with a proud smile at the very last moment as her vision started getting blurry.
"I am delighted that we could meet in this world" she said, after which her hand slid from his cheek to rest lifelessly by his side.
The tears finally escaped from his eyes so her mother could not see the pathetic side of her son one final time, the tears traced a slow path down his cheek before falling on the pale face of his mother.
The memory shifted, he was back in the forest but now even mentally broken.
"I-I couldn't even save them" he said before a small laugh.
"Why did I survive all this? Why can't I just die?" he screamed with his voice scaring the birds sitting on the trees.
"It is because you still have a purpose" someone said.
Komoto looked at it without any surprise as for him this voice was familiar.
"Y-You? Why are you here? He asked.
"Because you need to rest for now, we are not strong enough." he said.
"Rest?" he questioned him back because since the time he was transported to this world his life has just became miserable.
"Yes, I know someone who lives in the town where your parents lived back when they came to this world."
"What will I gain from it?" Komoto questioned as now he just wanted to die peacefully.
"You will find some peace in your life and others will try to overcome their limit because now a threat from our world has returned."
"They will never. They all just rely on me every single time" Komoto answered with a little bit anger in his voice.
"They will, when they find out that you have died"
"Huh?"
In an instant Komoto fell to the ground without even knowing what just happened but before losing his all senses he heard some sounds.
A sickening crunch followed by the wet, hollow thud of flesh and bone. He felt a little pain while losing his senses.
"M-My arm, why am I in so much pain?" he thought before losing his senses.
A sudden sharp gasp tore from Komoto's throat as his eyes snapped open. For few seconds the entire world was a blur—light coming through the cracks in unfamiliar curtains.
He tried to sit up but a dull ache spread out through his body stopping him. His skin was wrapped tightly by the bandages.
Despite the pain he sat on his hips, he noticed an unfamiliar bed, unfamiliar room and everything.
"Where am I?" he questioned himself.
He looked down at his neck as he felt some weight around his neck. His fingers moved towards it as he saw a dull black circular stone hanging from the thread around his neck.
"What is it?" he questioned again but this time he got the answer from an unfamiliar voice.
"It is the stone of healing" an unfamiliar female voice answered.
Komoto instantly looked at the voice and he tried to jump at the voice to protect him but the pain stopped his movements.
A low groan escaped his lips, the lady moved closer to him.
"What are you doing? Can't you see you are injured?"
Her voice was very concerning as if she is some kind of doctor looking at her patient.
"W-Who are you?" Komoto questioned with yet another low groan.
"I am Historia Wand; I was the medical advisor for Kingdom of Ruins."
"Historia huh! How do you know him?" he questioned this time followed by a loud groan.
"Wait-wait, I will answer everything you stop talking or it would be even more painful" she replied.
She helped Komoto to lie correctly on the bed and then sat on a chair herself and started answering everything she knew.
"I am Historia Wand and for the past 1 month I was stuck in Kingdom of Forest because of Dark Lord, after his death by the hands of Sir Marcus a disastrous explosion occurred from the sanctuary. After all the chaos we all who were stuck were travelling back to our own hometown, but I stopped by the forests to collect some medicinal plants if any were left. It was when I saw a man pulling you; he was struggling to move with just one of your arms around his shoulder. He told me that you were from the army of Sir Marcus but you suffered extreme injuries and asked me to take care of you."
"And you just accepted?" Komoto asked.
"Yes, since I remember him a little when Sir Marcus rescued me and my fellow travellers from the dragon attacks"
"He just made me an NPC character" Komoto thought with a smile on his face.
"Do you know who that person could be?" Historia asked him.
"I don't know him but if he saved me then he must be a very good person." Komoto answered so that she won't overthink much.
"By the way, your arm and leg will take one more day to regenerate." Historia said.
"Regenerate?" Komoto said with confusing voice and he looked at his arms and legs. He noticed that his left arm and right leg was regenerating at slow pace.
"My arm…leg…what happened to them?" Komoto screamed out with surprising voice.
"Please calm down, the person who saved you told me that you were caught in the explosion which caused all of this. You are lucky Mr. that you survived. Your body has regenerative capability but the healing stone is speeding things up."
"So that crunch and wet sound were of my own arm and leg" Komoto thought.
"Thank you, Miss. Wand, I am Ko-no, Mesuji. I am Mesuji just Mesuji"
