On top of the forts, teams of cultivators patrolled in an orderly manner, while giant crossbows, large magical artifacts, and other such objects were visible on the fortress walls at intervals, emitting bursts of intense light.
From time to time, streaks of light drifted through the sky. Upon closer inspection, they were cultivators from various powers dressed in diverse attire, including groups of about a dozen or so reinforcements heading to each fortress, making everything appear orderly.
