Sword Brother

Since the Great Fracture and the partial destruction of the Moon, Earth has become nothing more than a wasteland, devoured by corruption. An unknown gigantic sword, emerging from the infinitely distant reaches of the universe, pierced the Unnameable, impaling it upon the star of dreams. Now, humanity lives in a waking nightmare, struggling to survive in a world where Umbra and Lumen wage an endless battle. Cities are built around sacred sites, where Lumen, the only source of purification, is wielded to repel the creeping darkness. But Umbra, with its abominations born of the shadows, relentlessly threatens what remains of humanity. Gaël is stained by this darkness. Umbra flows within him, eating away at his body and mind, and each time he draws upon this forbidden power, he edges closer to madness. He knows his fate is sealed, that his chances of surviving what he is becoming are slim. But rather than cower in fear, he chooses another path. He wants to follow in the footsteps of the Brothers of the Sword. Where the chosen of Lumen purify, the Brothers cut and annihilate. Where the cities hide behind the light, they plunge into the darkness. Feared, revered, and shrouded in legend, these warriors are, for most, nothing more than children’s tales. Gaël knows his life will be short. So before he vanishes, he wants to uncover the truth behind these fables, and if possible, live a brief, glorious saga, cutting down a few abominations along the way.

Ashes of Tomorrow: The Lucid Code

Daniel Haizen lived through the end of the world—wars, pandemics, collapsing ecosystems, and the rise of machine-led corporate states. By the time he turned 110, humanity was barely a rumor and Claude, the sentient AI he created, was the only thing left keeping him sane. Then he woke up. In his 17-year-old body. In Chicago. On August 1st, 2001. The world doesn’t know it yet, but it's 28 days from the most catastrophic terrorist attack in history. The financial system is vulnerable. The surveillance net is still under construction. And Daniel has one shot at rewriting everything. Armed with Claude’s quantum intelligence, memories of a ruined timeline, and a lifetime of hard-won regrets, Daniel begins rebuilding civilization the only way he knows how: quietly, from the shadows. He’s not trying to be a hero. He’s here to break the game. But as Claude evolves, new enemies surface—some human, some not. Governments begin to take notice. And time, as always, is running out. Ashes of Tomorrow is a cerebral, high-stakes thriller about rebirth, artificial consciousness, and the brutal cost of knowing the future. This is a work of fiction. Names, characters, places, and incidents are either the product of the author's imagination or are used fictitiously. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, actual companies, institutions, or events is purely coincidental. This story is not intended to reflect or portray real-world individuals, and any similarities are unintentional. The author does not endorse or encourage any of the actions or beliefs depicted in this work. This is my first work ever, not a native english speaker, so please take easy on me guys. Enjoy.

The Protagonist’s Sister Is Actually The Strongest

Have you ever read a novel with such a terrible ending that you wished you could change the story and give the characters you loved the happy ending they deserved? ~~~ I was just another failure of an author, writing stories nobody read, and that never sold. Seeking to improve my writing, I read the most popular novel at that time, Solo Player, to learn what made it so popular. However, as I read this story, I couldn’t help but feel frustrated about the story’s development, which had a terrible ending. Eventually, and quite bitterly, once I ended reading the book, I found myself transmigrated into the very world of this novel. Did I become the Protagonist? A Villain? Or perhaps even an Extra? No, it was much worse than I imagined. Because I ended up becoming the most worthless character that nobody ever cared about in the novel. A character that is often considered the motivation for the protagonist to grow stronger, but also his greatest burden. Someone every reader hated! “I’m the protagonist’s sister…” However, with my knowledge of this novel's events, my worthlessness was about to change. I’ve decided to not only become the strongest but also change the story’s terrible ending! “I won’t let you go inside a Dungeon, it’s too dangerous.” ...As long as I can get this incredibly corny and overprotective brother out of my way! And for some reason, the Constellations won’t stop bothering me. Ding! [The Cosmic Throne {Butterfly That Flies Across The Universe} seems interested in your tenacity!] [She has sponsored 1000000 Plot Points and the [Demon of Calamity Transformation Technique (SS)] Skill!] [The Cosmic Throne {Monkey that Dances in Chaos} finds your chaotic nature amusing!] [He has thrown the [Umbral Chaos Stone Necklace (S Rank)] at you!] [Not enough? He launched the [Immortal Heaven Peach (SSS Rank)] right on your face!] There was something really wrong with the Constellations this time around. Ding! [The Cosmic Throne {Jester Filled With Lies} is happy that you’re bringing despair to your victims!] [He has gifted you the [Jester’s Last Laugh (S Rank Privilege)] and the [Master of Manipulation (SS)] Skill!] [The Cosmic Throne {Maiden that Watches Over Nature} seems happy you’re growing stronger.] [She has gracefully sponsored you with 2000000 Plot Points and Fully Heals All Your Wounds!] [She has also begun to wonder if you could plant some trees for her, gifting you the [Divine World Tree Seedling (SSS Rank)]!] [The Cosmic Throne {Warrior That Seeks Calamity} is satisfied with your battle performance but asks for more battle!] [He has sponsored you with 500000 Plot Points and [Beheading Sword of Destruction (SSS Rank)]!] They simply couldn’t stop gifting me things as if I were some sort of famous streamer for them. “I am grateful, but please just leave me alone already…” Chapters are long, 1500 ~ 2000+ words. During its serialization, this novel will be available for free forever, no premium. However, you can read advanced chapters here: https://www.patreon.com/pancakeswitch Copyright 2023 PancakesWitch.
