"Ateara! I am only just getting started, things are going to get a whole lot worse if you don't break it off with Seth" Medea threatened, Ateara shot up from his bed, wide eyed and panting as he looked over at Seth who stirred.
"I know what I have to do, but how am I going to convince my family? I could start with Grandma Bella seeing as we share the same gift," Ateara whispered to himself.
As he went over his plan in his mind, Seth began to wake and hugged Ateara from behind, startling him slightly before kissing him on the lips. "Morning handsome!" Seth greeted flirtatiously.
"Morning," Ateara said in return.
"What's up with you? That is not my usual morning greeting from you. You're not still thinking about Medea are you? I told you before that I will handle her. Yes, she will come eventually, but only when we are vulnerable, not when we are at our strongest. It's what she always does. So we need…" Seth began to explain.
"...Need to be at our strongest at all times," Ateara caught on and finished Seth's sentence.
"Well, now that we are on the same page, I'd like to tell you my story about how Medea and I are related," Seth said.
"I would like to know but it doesn't have to be now?" Ateara asked.
"No time like the present," Seth said, leaning in close before planting a kiss on his cheek.
"Ok fine! But at least let me get something to eat and drink first then I'm all yours," Ateara said with an unintentional flirting vibe.
"This is how it goes. My father is a wolf and goes by the name Lei, he was the alpha of his pack in China before he decided to move to Japan way before I was born or thought of. Only a small handful followed him but others joined so he was able to grow his pack again. When he was injured my mother Kakoa, who was a witch, helped him recover and one thing led to another. Lei had mated with Kakoa and I was born roughly nine months later. Kakoa is Medea's mother too; she is my older half sister, she was born after a vampire had seduced kakoa. But it seems that Medea hasn't activated her vampiric side yet."
"That's sad,but also makes sense, but why would she want to try and kill you or seperate the two of us? Can she foresee things? Maybe she has seen something happening and jumped to conclusions," Ateara questioned.
"It is a possibility and I'm not sure myself but still let's not provoke her. She would probably be less like your family and more like…"
"...The Volturi once was!" Ateara finished.
"The Volturi?" Seth raised an eyebrow at him.
"Yeah, they are this clan of powerful vampires that govern the vampire world, every vampire either wanted to join them or feared them. My family was different; they neither feared them or wanted to join them. In turn most, if not all, chose to ally with us," Ateara explained briefly.
"Ah! So you are all like the Anti-Volturi?" Seth teased.
"I suppose. Anyway, back to your story. You said something about not provoking her. How are we meant to do that? When us being together, is already doing that," Ateara stated, getting a little worked up.
"True, but you just need to breathe and calm yourself for starters. I have told you before I have it under control," Seth tried to explain.
