"What's wrong Sam?" Jake quietly asked.
"Not sure, I just feel something off all of a sudden. It's probably nothing," concern filled Sam's voice.
"Hmm! It can't be nothing if you're feeling it. You have been Alpha longer than I have and I trust your instincts," Jacob admitted slowly.
"Don't worry Jacob, you will learn to have your own sixth sense in time. I stepped down as alpha as it seemed unnecessary to have two alphas in one tribe," Sam explained.
"I'm like your successor then," Jacob joked. Sam rolls his eyes and walks away.

Elsewhere Leah and Embry walk by themselves before deciding to shift and race each other.
'Leah! I don't think it matters who imprinted on who. We are bound together now, to be honest I didn't think I would ever find anyone.'
There was a silence, Leah still wasn't sure how to react.
'Leah? Please talk to me. It hurts me to see that you're so quiet.'
'I'm sorry Embry. I just don't know how I'm supposed to feel. I have all these feelings inside. It's eating-me-up inside. Give me a few more days.'
Embry lowered his head before turning to face her. It almost killed him, but he reluctantly walked away. He looked back to see Leah watching him, as he gradually increased the distance between them. She then looked up to the skies and closed her eyes.

A few days had passed and one evening when Leah was heading home from her run, she noticed Embry sitting on the porch waiting for her. She watched for a long moment, at first she was mad but she felt this strange feeling come over her, gradually she became calmer. She couldn't think of anything else, only Embry, Her wolf yearned for his nearness and as she howled Embry came rushing in.
"Leah! What's the matter?"
"Embry?" she began, "nothing is wrong, I just…" she stopped.
"You just what?" Embry asked, walking closer to her. She stilled and did something out of character. She hugged Embry to his surprise.
Embry embraced the moment and wrapped his arms around her, he felt her quiver and relax some more and soon her head lay on his shoulder.
They were in a world of their own so much that didn't hear anyone come in.
"Well I didn't think I would see this. Leah, now you know who imprinted on who, right?" Seth told her.
"Yes I think I know it was me that imprinted on Embry" Leah admitted, gazing into Embry's eyes as if seeing him for the first time.
Embry caught her gaze and he felt his wolf jumping for joy as he locked onto hers trying to figure out her next move so he could make his move. Suddenly he felt someone nudge him and then lurched forward.
"Hey that was uncalled for Quil," Embry yelled, punching him in the arm.
"Sorry! Just doing what I do best," Quil laughed.
"What's that? Annoy people all the time," Embry chastised.
"No smartass. Being your wingman and your courage," Quil told him before walking off, pleased with his work. Embry smiled before turning back to face Leah, but she startled him as he didn't realise she was standing so close to him already. They resumed their staring contest for a while longer.
Next thing he knew he was overcome with an intense urge and he decided to follow it. He leant forward and kissed Leah.
It was unlike Leah, but when he pulled away she felt herself lean in for a second round.

The next morning Leah woke up feeling… Happy! In her head she couldn't stop smiling. She wasn't quite ready to show it externally yet. Her body language said it all when she looked over to her right to see Embry sleeping next to her. He began to stir, she stilled when he opened his eyes.
"Oh morning Leah, you're up early?" he asked her and she began to blink bringing her back to reality.
"Oh morning Embry, I just couldn't go back to sleep after having a weird dream," she answered, as truthfully as she could.
"Oh sorry to hear that, do you want to talk about it?" Leah couldn't believe her ears. Did he really just ask me that? She asked herself, not truly believing that this is the real Embry with her. The Embry she knew used to joke around with Quil and the pack with not a care in the world.
"That's because you imprinted on him and not the other way around. Because you imprinted it does change your perception of their personality," Jake explained to her later that day.
"Really? I've never heard your dad or Sam say that, but then again I've never heard them ever talk about imprinting or relationship stuff,"
"Yeah that sounds like them. They do like to keep their life private, which is what I have learnt to do. Sam showed me how to hide certain parts of my life I don't want shared."
"I didn't know you could do that, could you show me," Leach asked eagerly. Jake smiled then chuckled.
"Maybe one day, but right now, Renesmee needs me. I will see you later," he told her and sprinted off.
"Ok, bye Jake. Thanks for the advice," Leah spoke out slowly as he disappeared in the distance.

Several Years later
It's been a number of years since Leah had imprinted on Embry, the feelings weren't triggered right away but, when it was, they were near inseparable.
One evening, Leah had a feeling in her gut that was telling her it was the right time, she thought and thought what it could mean then it clicked, like lighting, the bulb went off above her head.
It was their anniversary, of the day she had imprinted and she decided to propose to Embry on the beach of La Push with some help from Bella and Jake.
It was nothing too flamboyant as she only wanted to keep it simple.
