Chapter 2 - Old & New identity

Alexander Katz Almigt, thats my name now. Not that I had another not in this body and world at least.

You see I'm a transmigrater. My previous world was pretty normal until... Dungeons opened throughout the world and people awakened to all sorts of powers.

And low behold yours truly was a awakened human or hunter as they called it.

And my power was telepathy. And I know how Op it sounds but in reality it was nothing special. All I could do as a telepath was read the surface thoughts of people. And no matter how useful it was to pickup girls with it if used right it didn't have any use in a dungeon full of monsters.

But as I was a thrill freak and loaded because of the family business, I ventured into the dungeons and as to rub my stupidity in my face an accident occurred in the dungeon and the rest as you have guessed lead to my death.

How I landed in this world i have no clue.

"Well I at least have caring parents this time along." I smiled and was glad that I was adopted in such a lovely family.

"Hmm... So I have magic and I also seem to have carried my gift of telepath along in this life."

It is also because of this gift that I was able to see the dark apparition before.

As even though I was a child I had suppressed my gift of telepath because I thought it was related to my magic.

And why would I suppress my magic you say. Well if you are a kid whose magic is quite volatile and bursts at your emotional influence than you start fearing it a bit. And I so happened to have feared of causing something bad to happen to my parents.

"hehe." I laugh a little as I find the incident that caused to build the fear was actually quite funny.

I mean the fire in the kitchen which had mum screaming as dad just grabbed the two of us to bail out of the house.

Well back to the incident or what let me voluntarily look into my mother's thoughts were now clear to me.

The dark apparition was someone's ghost either influenced by a dark artifact or a ritual gone wrong.

But what ever that abomination was it was influencing my parents into some kind of aggressive state which had them fighting a lot which was quite surprising if you know the couple well. And as had it made the young me worry about them so I sunk into my parents room to see if i could find the reason for their fight. But when I willed to use my telepathy my suppressed magic somehow helped me see the abomination and you know how the rest followed.

While I was at St. Mongus my parents and I were also made aware of how I was doing a very reckless thing.

"Young man you know how dangerous it is to suppress magic at your development stage. You could have caused yourself a lot of damage. Had you been untreated early for this, and would have to spend a lot of your years after your 1st maturity (11 Bday) just to have some control over your volatile magic." An elderly woman reprimanded Alex of how dangerous things could have gone. Then she turns to the parents and gives them their end of the lecture.

"And you both, shouldn't you have known better. I can understand you both being squibs that you didn't know of the volatile magic. But you didn't even get him his magical antibodies. What have you been doing, did you think it was enough to have him vaccinated by muggle medicine..." My mother interrupts her with a weak defense.

"We were thinking of bringing him here when he gets his Hogwarts letter..." And it was merciless thwarted by the lady.

"Shh... I don't wanna her excuses, you should know we give the young wizards potions to ease their magic to help them be more in tune with them. And a young lad with this much magic is definitely in need of it if he is actively been suppressing his magic for some time..." And then continued a half-hour lecture of the lady. ~I wonder does she not have other patients?~ And as I made eye contact with my parents I knew they were thinking the same.

Well after all of that we now had a new problem. After a batch of auror finished investigating the house and still couldn't find anything we decided to put the house my father inherited in stasis.

"And now we are homeless." As Curtis said that, Mira and Alex collectively sighed.
