Near the back of the arena, two security guards were standing adjacent to a door that went into the arena. Plenty of people had passed them, but no one tried to enter due to the large red sign above the door.
"How long do we have to stand here?" One of the guards asked with a yawn.
"Until the first match starts. Someone will come take our shift after."
"Can't they start it any faster. I'm going to fall asleep at this point."
The guard felt his eyelids slowly becoming heavy and his mind having a hard time concentrating. However, it wasn't his first time doing this, and he believed he could do it until the end of his shift.
As he shifted himself to a more comfortable position, he suddenly felt something slithering up his leg.
"Oh shit!"
Any sleepiness in his system was immediately ejected as he kicked his leg, trying to get what he assumed was a snake off his leg.
"What's wrong?!"
"There's a snake wrapped around my leg!"
