This time, I wasn't on the carousel.
My butt landed on soft grass, but it still hurt. This wasn't the balcony; there were no signs of the beautiful horses or colorful lights. I was still at the estate; the castle stood before me because no other word existed. However, now I was in a garden that looked like a jungle. The plants were overgrown and dried out. Nothing was alive, yet the hum of life echoed everywhere.
I get up, looking around, but seeing everything like this hurts for some reason.
The sun's out, and it feels like a perfect spring day, but nothing grows, and nothing lives. It makes no sense, and some part of me knows something's wrong. It's like everything is stuck in some kind of limbo, not alive and not dead. So, are they undead? Is that even possible?
