"He's not there," I scowl, unable to find Jushion in the Void. "What's going on? Is he taking control?"
"No, something else is happening," Shay looked worried, touching the wolf's head and glancing up toward the ceiling like the answer was there. "He shouldn't be able to escape the Void from here unless..."
"Unless what?" I got up, ready to hunt him down if I needed to.
"Unless someone more powerful than the Sins summoned him..." Shay looked uncomfortable. "That means a Primordial god or... a Rider."
"Why would a Rider summon Jushion?" I demand, pacing across the small room.
"I don't know." Shay didn't move, watching me warily, and I already knew what he was thinking because I was thinking the same thing.
"Why would she summon him?" I refused to believe it. Nefra wouldn't do that! She'd already met with him once, but that didn't mean she'd ask him to return.
"We don't know it's her," he offered, but in my gut I knew.
