At the wedding reception, Stephen planned to have a heartfelt conversation with Christine about their relationship. Watching the woman he loved fall into another man's arms, of course, he felt unwilling to let go. He believed the reason they couldn't be together was because of the heavy burden he carried—being too busy saving the world and neglecting her in the process.
But Christine calmly told him, "I respect you, Stephen. But I could never fall in love with you."
That hit Stephen hard. After downing a few glasses of wine, he suddenly noticed something bizarre happening outside—the streets were in chaos, and it looked like some invisible creature was wreaking havoc.
Pedestrians fled in panic, cars were getting tossed around like toys. Stephen tugged on his cloak and leapt from the balcony, swooping down to rescue an innocent bystander. Once he landed in the chaos, he immediately spotted a girl running frantically through the crowd.
Viewers recognized her instantly—wasn't she the mysterious girl who had previously been attacked by a monster alongside Doctor Strange?
Clearly, that earlier scene hadn't been a dream.
Stephen cast a spell, opening a portal to another dimension. And just like that, the source of the chaos revealed itself: a massive octopus-like monster with a huge eyeball embedded in its body. At the moment, it was using its tentacles to tear at a city bus, behind which the mysterious girl was hiding!
The creature's appearance was grotesque and disturbing—just making eye contact with it felt like it would corrupt one's mind and drain one's sanity.
Stephen wasted no time launching into battle, unleashing dazzling spells and managing to rescue the mysterious girl. Remembering the ominous dream he'd had the night before, he gave her a curious look and asked, "Have we met before?"
But at that moment, while distracted, a tentacle whipped out and slammed into him, sending him flying into a nearby shop. He crashed through the window and was knocked unconscious.
Off-screen, Pietro quipped, "Honestly, Stephen, you really need to work on your physical fitness. Your body's way too fragile—it's your biggest weakness, even more than any spell."
Stephen rolled his eyes. He had heard that before. To be fair, he had been training in secret, especially after exchanging knowledge with other Sorcerer Supremes across the multiverse. He had even learned some methods to physically enhance himself. But energy was finite—most of his time had to be devoted to mastering magic. Physical training naturally took a backseat.
In the video, with Stephen down, the mysterious girl was once again in danger. Fortunately, the real Sorcerer Supreme arrived just in time. A portly Wong stepped through a portal to assist and took over the fight with the octopus monster.
Unfortunately, Wong's fighting style leaned more toward close combat—and that was definitely not ideal against such a gigantic foe. Within a few moves, he was caught by a tentacle.
Meanwhile, Stephen was still knocked out cold. Not only were the viewers getting anxious—even his cloak couldn't take it anymore. It floated up and gave him a few sharp slaps across the face, trying to wake him up. But even that didn't work. Eventually, the cloak had no choice but to carry the mysterious girl and flee into the sky.
Pietro and Peter both burst out laughing. "Haha! Look at that—your cloak's more useful than you are!"
Stephen could only respond with a pained expression. He silently vowed to train harder. He couldn't keep dragging his cloak down like this. What a disgrace for a Sorcerer Supreme.
Still, as magical as the cloak was, it wasn't a substitute for an actual person. Though it managed to fly the girl to safety and dodge a tentacle strike, the monster proved clever. It hurled a motorcycle through the air—direct hit. The impact knocked the cloak off course, and the girl fell.
Luckily, she landed on a ledge on a high-rise building and survived.
Back in the wreckage, Stephen finally woke up. First, he cast a spell to save Wong from the tentacle's grip. Then, the two joined forces to take on the monster.
The creature was absurdly tough—thick-skinned and powerful. Without his cloak, Stephen lacked agility. Soon, he was entangled by the tentacles again. And that's when viewers noticed another of Stephen's weaknesses: his hands.
Nearly all of his magic required precise hand gestures. Once his hands were restrained, he was basically powerless. It was the same tactic Ebony Maw used against him—binding his hands to neutralize him.
Off-screen, plenty of villains took note. If they ever had to fight Stephen in the future, they'd be wise to go for his arms first. Maybe even try to slice them off.
Back in the video, the situation looked grim. Stephen was bound tightly, completely unable to break free.
That's when the cloak came to the rescue again.
Its usefulness, honestly, rivaled that of Tony Stark's AI, J.A.R.V.I.S. It didn't just give Stephen flight—it functioned like a reliable partner. This time, it zoomed in and smacked the monster right in its big eyeball.
Stephen seized the opportunity. He broke free of the tentacles and summoned two giant magical hands, using them to rip a streetlight out of the ground. Then, he drove the pole straight into the creature's massive eye.
The light pole stabbed deep, blood spurting in all directions. The scene was brutal—the eyeball ripped clean out of the monster's body, delivering a fatal blow.
The octopus monster collapsed with a heavy thud. Crisis averted.
As the crowd erupted in cheers and admiration, Stephen floated down to the girl's side and opened a portal, bringing her back to the street.
With the danger over, he finally had time to question her. She had appeared in his dream, after all, and Wong was also curious about her identity.
But the girl was clearly on high alert. Rather than answering their questions, she bolted—and not only that, she snatched the Sling Ring right off Stephen's hand on her way out!
Pietro couldn't help but roast him again. "Hey Stephen, you've really got to be more careful. That ring is like a knight's sword, or a mage's staff—and you've already lost it twice!"
