Mei-Mei licked her lips and sighed in satisfaction. She heard her system's voice in her head.

'That's easy.' Mei-Mei closed her eyes and tried to sleep. She felt some movement and opened her eyes. Her mother was walking out of the room. She closed her eyes again and drifted off to sleep.
A screen appeared in her blank mind and a video began playing. A chair was stationed in front of the screen and so was a carton for popcorn. She sat on the chair and enjoyed the movie.
'I can't believe Midori betrayed Akira like that. She is so evil.' Mei-Mei opened her
eyes. 'That was a very interesting movie.' She heard the splashing of water and the movement of waves. She began crying like crazy.
'Am I on a ship? I'm sea sick and have thalassophobia. How deep is the ocean?' She lamented and looked around. She was in the ship's deck, laying in a small bed.
"System, is this body sea sick and does it have a fear of huge water bodies?" She asked aloud.
"This body isn't sea sick and until you learn to master that fear, you will forever be afraid of it." The system briskly replied.
Mei-Ling climbed off the bed and walked out of the cabin.
There were many children, young women and men, running around the ship. She couldn't see her parents and so, she wailed at the top of her lungs until a group of women gathered her.
She didn't understand what they were saying since she hadn't learned Mandarin yet but it was obvious that they were praising her looks.
Suddenly, Jia-Hao came out of nowhere and swooped her up. He stared at the women before walking away with Mei-Mei in his arms. He took her back into the deck and made sure to lock the door.
After placing her on a bed, he said in English, "Mei-Mei, if you want to unlock Mandarin proficiency, you have to absorb as much Qi as you can."
"How did you know?" She stammered.
"I am a god. Of course I will know." He sat in the lotus position and asked, "So, you transmigrated into the our daughter's body?"
