"Yes, father." She bowed her head. "I traded something of importance for my spirit to enter another world."
"Did you hate your world that much?"
"I do not wish to talk about it." She looked at him with pleading eyes. "Don't tell mother."
Trying to hide his displeasure, he nodded. "Your secret is safe with me." He closed his eyes. "Observe."
Thin threads of green light surrounded him and then, disappeared. He gazed at her with a look of intense questioning. "What did you see?"
"Threads of green light. What are those?" She stretched a bit and directed her attention to him.
"I am absorbing Mana and you absorb Qi. There are five types of Mana; white, blue, black, red, and green."
"Tell me about mana magic." She had a confused look on her face.
"Mana is a concept found in various cultures and mythologies, often associated with a mystical force or energy that imbues objects, people, or places with power. In the realm of magic, mana is commonly perceived as a universal energy source that practitioners can harness to perform magical feats."
He briefly continued. "The idea of mana in magic is often linked to the manipulation of spiritual or elemental forces to cast spells, perform rituals, or channel energy for various purposes. It mostly serves as the essence powering magical abilities."
"So you get it from surrounding areas, right?"
"In a way, yes, mana is believed to be drawn from surrounding environments such as nature, specific locations, or even within oneself. It can be derived from natural elements like earth, water, fire, air, or from spiritual connections to the world around us."
"Mana is sometimes thought to be replenished through meditation, rituals, or connecting with nature to tap into these sources of energy."
"Does qi get drawn from surrounding areas too?" She had her eyes wide open.
"Qi, often referred to as life energy or vital energy, is believed to flow within the body along specific pathways. While it's not drawn directly from surrounding areas like mana in some interpretations, certain practices suggest that Qi can be influenced by external factors such as the environment, nature, and one's surroundings."
