"Ten Sovereigns!"
For gods and epic beings, twenty-odd years pass in the blink of an eye. Those who witnessed the battle more than twenty years ago vividly remember the scene where the Ten Sovereigns waged war against the Abyss.
Just the followers he subdued from the void alone were enough to crush the drow elf pantheon, putting all their gods, including the Spider Queen, into a state of slumber. His true form even repelled the Nightmare Serpent, empowered by the Abyss.
He was an overwhelmingly powerful epic titan. Many gods speculated that he could stand alongside those of great divine power and have equal conversations with them.
"Everyone, stop!" Seeing the Seraphim and the epic titan fighting, the Ten Sovereigns stepped in to mediate. The battle was getting too intense, and it needed to be stopped. Epic titans and Seraphim could spar, but they couldn't fight for real. Sensing the combat's intensity, he came over immediately, despite not being asleep.
"Sovereign!" Seeing one of their own appear, Osvaldo obediently retracted his power. When he had just advanced to epic status, he had met this Sovereign and was awed by his power. He then decided to align himself with the titan race, providing all the help he could instead of keeping his empire independent.
"Lord Ten Sovereigns!" The Seraphim also sheathed his sword upon seeing this powerful figure, bowing respectfully. He had a reverence for strength.
"Hmm, I remember you, Samuel. Achieved epic status 170,000 years ago, purified your bloodline, and became a Seraphim." Sayenold nodded slightly at the Seraphim, remembering this ancient being.
"Can't you discuss your issues calmly? Why resort to fighting?"
"Sovereign, it's because..."
As Osvaldo was about to speak, the Ten Sovereigns Sayenold raised his hand and looked around the seemingly dead silent starfield. "You've all seen enough. Withdraw your divine senses, or I'll make you."
Silence. The surroundings remained dark, as if nothing had happened, but both the Seraphim and Osvaldo could clearly sense that the myriad prying eyes from gods and epics around them had vanished.
"There are always some who think they're special." Sayenold sighed, raising his scepter slightly before slamming it down. A golden ripple spread from the point of impact, accompanied by the sound of mental forces shattering and pained grunts. The starfield then fell into complete silence.
"To those who were just spying, deliver twenty units of legendary metal to the Titan Islands within three days, or I'll come to discuss it with you." Sayenold seemed to speak to the void, but his words reached the ears of those whose mental forces he had shattered, making their faces turn extremely grim.
"Now, explain yourselves. What's going on?" The Ten Sovereigns turned his gaze to the two before him.
"He tried to bully the weak by interfering in the battle between his descendant and a legendary titan!" Osvaldo quickly put himself in a favorable position, immediately shifting the blame onto Samuel.
"Don't listen to his nonsense, Sovereign!" Seeing Sayenold's displeased look, the Seraphim Samuel panicked. If he were beaten, there would be no place to argue his case, and he'd be forever labeled as a bully.
"I just wanted to save my descendant. He had already lost but was being tormented by your kin..."

"Elias, who was that Seraphim who just intervened?" Muria gazed at the sky for a long time. Seeing the Seraphim's flaming hand blocked by a golden hand and then disappear, he relaxed, knowing the intruder was stopped.
"Hmph!" The Seraphim descendant Elias, suspended mid-air and bound by Muria, snorted coldly, lifting his head high with the same expression as when he first appeared.
"Who are you trying to impress with that look?" Muria grabbed his wings and slapped his face a dozen times. This treatment made Elias's eyes burn with rage.
"Behave yourself. Do you really think I won't kill you?" Muria sneered at the Seraphim descendant, whose eyes were literally burning.
"That was my great-great-grandfather," Elias said through gritted teeth, identifying the Seraphim who had intervened. "Treat me like this, and you'll face my great-great-grandfather's wrath!"
"Oh, so that was your great-great-grandfather, a direct ancestor. No wonder you're so arrogant. But it's quite a coincidence; I also have two direct ancestors, one a Dragon King and the other an epic. But one's my maternal grandfather, and the other's my paternal grandfather. Seems a bit closer than yours."
Elias's face darkened at Muria's words, his eye twitching.
"Why so silent?" Muria tugged at Elias's face, showing no respect. "Do you think your background is impressive? More impressive than mine?"
"..." Elias stubbornly turned his head, refusing to speak. But Muria forcefully yanked his hair, making him face forward. "Speak!"
"You're just a half-breed..."
"Bang! Bang!" The sound of fists hitting flesh echoed. Muria didn't give him a chance to speak further, delivering a barrage of punches to his face, breaking his nose and shattering his eyes. But within three breaths, Elias's face healed, thanks to his strong body.
"What are you so arrogant about in front of me? What makes you think you have the right? You're just a loser." Muria sneered. "You're probably also pursuing Mikaela, but she doesn't bother with you, does she?"
"You..." Elias's eyes turned fierce, and Muria's words hit a nerve. He had indeed been pursuing Mikaela but had been unsuccessful, venting his anger on Muria. He knew about Muria and Mikaela's interactions and was jealous that no other male Seraphim had ever been this close to her, except her brother.
"That look... Still want to fight me? Looking for more pain?" Muria raised an eyebrow. "Fine, I'll let you go, and we'll continue. I enjoy the feeling of hitting you. The more you resist, the more excited I get. It's boring to beat you while you're tied up."
