"Thanks for taking the time to answer my questions," I said, bowing my head.
Halim waved his hand. "Don't mention it. Guiding others is part of my purpose in life anyway. Although, before you go join there others, there is something else I would like to talk about."
I tilted my head at him. "What would that be, sir?"
"About your condition."
My body tensed up as hope for a cure swelled up. "Do you know how to cure it?"
He sighed, shaking his head. "No. I mean, I could try to, but there is a high risk of failure. Your mana is just that volatile. Even my wife struggled to contain it."
I frowned. "She did?"
He walked over and patted my shoulder. "That said, don't give up hope. I'm sure a way to strengthen your body will be found one day. That's the only way to surpass it."
"Saffron figured that too."
He laughed. "Ah, yes, the infamous green juice."
I shuddered just remembering its taste. Saffron was impressive for just drinking it without wincing.
