I made my way to the biggest cathedral in Kuroriku, the Sacred Church of Origin. According to tradition, the tallest mountain in all of Kuroriku led to Axis Mundi, which is where the Divine Couple dwelled. Many pilgrims from the other nations often visited, thinking being physically close to the higher heaven could bring them closer to the divine.
Prime Minister Itou was to accompany me to the meeting the the High Priest, but he backed out, saying something came up. I wondered if that was true. Or maybe he really was allergic to holy stuff.
