Ethan Herd returned with breakfast and told Scarlett Glenn that he had held Nathaniel York and Matilda Jenkins back, asking them to eat out instead of coming over.
The three of them sat down to eat, and Scarlett Glenn asked him, "Did you call someone to clear the sewer?"
"No, what happened? Did someone..."
Scarlett Glenn nodded, "Yes, they came right after you left."
Ethan Herd looked at Gabriel Johnny with disdain, "It's all because of you. I don't know what kind of trouble you've stirred up. I really want to pack you up and throw you out. I refuse to believe that you, a cat with nine lives, could die without us."
Gabriel Johnny took a bite of his steamed bun, "Cats have nine lives, but what if I've already used up eight?"
"Then it's your own stupidity. Who told you to use them up so quickly?"
Listening to the two bicker, Scarlett Glenn found the meal quite appetizing.
