Chapter 38 - 1

Chapter 1: And Then There Was Ten

The Milky Way Galaxy, housing planets of different sizes, with a large prominent Star in the center. The Sun, with it various planets follow suit. Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune. With our tiny Dwarf Planet Pluto, but out of all these Planets, one stands out the most. Our Homeworld, Earth, third planet from the Sun. What's so special about Earth? Well, let me fill you in. Earth, over half the planet is covered in water. There is one thing that Earth has, that the other various planets don't have. Life. Human Beings ranging from various races, sizes, age, and genders.

Humans having created various civilizations and evolving in technology (unlike other Galaxies). Throughout history great leaders, dictators, kings, and queens have arose bringing society to where it is now, but our story isn't about history it's about a boy. Not just any boy, but a boy who'd become the multiverse's greatest hero. And this said boy's name is Benjamin Kirby Tennyson. The boy in question was born and raised in Bellwood, located abit outside of California.

Ben Tennyson was your average teenager, his grades average, his athleticism was pretty above average since the boy in question enjoyed soccer. The boy in question was in the middle of a soccer match, the last game of the season before starting his summer break. Ben was stationed at the goalies position. He had brown shaggy hair that he kept a bit slicked back, emerald green eyes, and Caucasian paled skin. He wore a white T-shirt with a black line going down the center, a green long sleeved shirt, green shorts, grey gloves, white high socks, and white and black soccer shoes.

Ben grinned eagerly as the opposing team raced the ball towards their goal, 'Come on, Tennyson, you got this. Final Match of the season. We win this, we'll be state champions. Focus! Here they come!' He thought trying to psych himself up.

Ben watched as the guy kicked the ball towards an open teammate. Who then kicked it towards the goal. Ben immediately launched from his initial stance and dived for the ball. Everyone, on the field and stands watched in anticipation as the brunette dived for the ball. Ben reached and reached before feeling the ball within his grasp. He grinned as he clasped the ball tightly and swirled around before launching it back onto the field towards one of his teammates at the far end of the field.

Ben's teammate grinned as he caught the ball with his chest and raced towards the opposing teams goal. Where he launched it up to his knee, everyone watched the ball soar into the air and soon came back down where he kicked it into the goal. The opposing teams goalie was to slow to catch the ball from being in shock originally. The ball in question hit the net as a loud buzzer noise echoed onto the field signaling the end of the game.

"BELLWOOD WINS!" The Referee announced sending everyone into a fit of applause. Ben grinned widely as he looked to the cheering crowd where he caught sight of his parents, his aunt, uncle, two cousins, and his grandfather cheering for him.

Ben's team crowded around him hoisting him into the air, if it wasn't for him they wouldn't be State Champions. Ben laughed happily as the Referee presented them the trophy, his coach grinned as he handed the boy the trophy as he hoisted it above his head. Cheering even louder than before, Ben stared into the sky grinning like a mad man, 'Can this day get anymore perfect.'

Ben was cleaning out his locker after showering off. He was back in his regular clothes. Black and white tennis shoes, black jeans, white T-shirt, and a unique jacket that his parents had bought him for his Fourteenth birthday. It was a Green jacket, with the number 10 embroidered onto the left side, with a white line going through it, with two white lines attached horizontally on the right sleeve. Ben was absolutely in love with the jacket and wouldn't ever take it off. He closed his locker door and picked up his duffel bag and started making his way out the locker room.

'Today's the day, Summer vacation officially starts right now.' Ben grinned as he thought about his summer trip with his grandpa Max and his cousin Gwen. To say the least he was excited to spend his summer with his Grandpa, he'd hardly ever see him, and his cousin too. Granted she went to a private school, so he hardly saw her at all.

Ben had reached the entrance to his school and saw his Grandpa's RV parked infront. He grinned widely before making his way down the stairs before he heard shouting coming from around the corner. Ben raised an eyebrow before he dropped his duffel bag and walked towards the corner to see three people standing there. One cowering in fear while the other two had smirks plastered on there faces.

"Since it's the last day of school we'll be letting you off easy. Now give us your money!" One of the boys said. Ben recognized him immediately. This was Cash Murray, a bully that Ben's tussled with every so often. Cash was taller than the other kids at his age. His skin also had a darker tone and his hair and eyebrows were all black. He had a football ball-shaped head with large ears, and his eyes were brown with a thin outline. He was wearing a red shirt with dark grey accents, and black pants.

"Yeah, hurry up and cough up the dough. If you know what's good for you." The other boy replied. Ben knew him too. This was Cash's sidekick JT. Ben remembered JT from second grade how they to used be friends and eat toothpaste together till Cash moved here and immediately joined up with him to make his life a living hell. He had unkempt, brown hair and brown eyebrows. He had light blue, round shaped glasses. He wore an olive T-shirt and beige pants.

'Cash and JT of course, it had to be these two. Typical Tennyson Luck.' Ben thought grimly. He gazed towards their supposed victim and saw him cowering in fear. Something Ben had that most people didn't was that even before he became the most famous superhero was that he had a hero complex meaning he had to step in. Ben sighed, "Damn this hero complex of mine." Ben grumbled as he took off his jacket and made his way over to the bullies, "Let him go."

The three males turned there attention to a fourth voice one they weren't expecting. Cash and JT grinned, "Well, well, well, look what we have here? Tennyson tryna be a hero yet again." Cash remarked.

"This has nothing to do with you, Tennyson. Now get lost." JT replied as Ben tightened his fist.

"I'm only going to say this once. Let. Him. Go. Now."

Cash and JT glared at Ben, as the cowering boy soon ran off without even looking back, "Always tryna be a hero, huh Tennyson. Let's see how far it gets you." Cash remarked.

In the Nurses office sat three boys. Cash, with a bloody nose and busted lip, JT, with a black eye while holding a ice pack ontop of his head, and finally Ben, who had a black eye as well, but with a busted lip. The nurse soon entered the room followed by an old man in a Hawaiian shirt with beige pants, "Benjamin, your grandfather is here." The nurse replied as the old man gazed at the two boys before setting his sights on his grandson. The teenager stood up, grabbing his duffel bag in the process. The boy and his grandfather soon left the nurses office.

"Grandpa, before you can lecture me, I have to say it wasn't my fault." Ben announced causing his grandfather to look at him.

"What happened, Ben?" Max asked the teenager.

"Cash and JT were harassing someone and I intervened." Ben gave the simplest of versions.

"Ben, I know that you have a problem with Cash and JT, but I'm proud you were able to stand up for someone other than yourself." Max remarked clamping his hand onto his shoulder, "This doesn't mean your not in trouble tho."

Ben's smile faltered at the sound and mumbled under his breath, "Damn." The two soon made it to the RV where a third person was seated. It was a girl about his age with red hair tied up in a ponytail, a blue and white collared shirt, black skirt, velvet leggings, and black shoes. She had green eyes hidden behind her purple glasses.

Her attention was broken when the two entered and she shot out of her seat in joy, "Ben!" She called as Ben grinned and hugged the girl tightly, "It's good to see you." She then got a look at his face, "What happened to you?"

"It's good to see you too, Gwen." He smiled, he then ran a hand onto his bruises remembering the fight he got into helping someone else, "Ran into Cash and JT." He summarized.

A soft 'ah' rang from his cousins lips as she smirked, "I hope you got some hits in yourself."

"Of course." He chuckled as Max walked by towards the drivers seat, "Grandpa, did you already pick up my suitcase?"

"Yep, it's in the back. Wanna drop off your duffel bag?" Max asked.

"Nah, I could use the practice. By the way, Gwen where's Ken? I thought he was joining us on this trip." Ben asked.

"Congratulations on your win, Ben." Gwen smiled taking a seat into the booth, "He got a summertime job at some camp and couldn't come."

"Thanks Gwen and ah, that sucks." He took a seat across from her as the engine to the RV roared to life.

"Yeah, but he said to take plenty of pictures to send to him."

"You guys ready for the best Summer Vacation trip ever!" Max asked excitedly upon hearing a chorus of 'yess' from his grandkids, "That's the spirit, I have a surprise for you guys." He grinned and soon the Rust Bucket pulled away from Ben's school.

In the far distance of the Milky Way, a battle was occurring. A large blue ship was flying across the vast opening of space being chased by a large brown and orange warship. The large warship launched a volley of attacks to slow down the blue ship, but by some miracle the small blue ship dodged the array of attacks.

Inside the helm of the warship was small black and red droids manning the controls. One of the drones soon approached a throne in the back of the room overlooking the current chase that was proceeding. The drone looked the creature up as his red eyes glared in anger.

A humanoid creature with a face resembling that of an octopus. He has tentacles dangling in the front of his face, like a beard. His skin is pale-green with yellowish spots on his face and tentacles. He doesn't have a nose and a visible ear. He was wearing black and red-brownish armored suit and gloves. His armor is spiked at the shoulder and arm pads. He has green sacs on the sides of his head.

"Lord Vilgax, we are currently in pursuit of the ship containing the Omnitrix. What are your orders?" The drone informed the warlord now known as Vilgax.

"Cripple the ship, bring me the Omnitrix, then kill the pilot. Once I have the Omnitrix in my grasp no one will defy me!" His voice boasted in rage as the drone bowed low.

"I will get right on it, Lord Vilgax." The drone soon scurried off to follow the warlords orders.

"Soon, the universe will cower in fear once I obtain the strongest weapon ever created." Vilgax bellowed as he gazed hardened at the ship carrying his weapon.

The warship launched even more attacks at the small blue ship trying to shoot it down, but the blue ship proved to be more evasive than ever. As they neared Earth's atmosphere, two missiles collided with the ship destroying one of the wings and the engine. The pilot inside the blue ship soon launched a small series of bombs that collided with the large warships command center.

Vilgax widened his eyes in shock, "NO!" He shouted before his control room was engulfed in a series of explosions.

The pilot inside the blue ship soon came across a black orb and knew it was dangerous and had to part with it. They sent it out to Earth where hopefully someone special would find it, before there ship crashed elsewhere.

As the Sun begun to set, the Rust Bucket pulled to a screeching halt. The door to the RV soon opened up revealing the Tennyson family as they gazed into the wide open distance of mother nature. Gwen was left in shock as she saw where they were, "Whoa, is this Yellow Stone National Park?!" She questioned her grandfather who grinned.

"Indeed, thought it'd be a good first place to visit before we hit the open road for the summer." Max replied sheepishly as he and Gwen took in the nature's soft air. Ben on the otherhand was on his phone playing some game and ignoring his grandpa and cousin's love for nature. Sure he enjoyed it, but it was to a certain extent by extent he meant the bugs, "How about I wrestle up some grub for you kids. You in the mood for tentacle jambalaya, meal worm hamburgers, or possum entrails?"

Gwen groaned in disgust and Ben nearly threw up in his mouth sometimes the two of them wondered if he got enough good food as a kid for him to be talking about this kind of food. As Max walked back into the RV listing different kinds of food he enjoyed Ben turned towards Gwen, "I've got three chocolate bars, some chips, a half eaten hot dog, and a bag of Starbursts. How about you?"

Gwen rummaged in her bag, "I've got a salad, croutons, grapes, banana, an apple, and an orange."

Ben grimmaced, "Think we can make it last all summer?"

Max soon came back out holding a bag of marshmallows, "I found some marshmallows, you guys in the mood for s'mores?"

"Yeah/Definitely!" Ben and Gwen replied immediately.

"Good, I'll get the Graham crackers and chocolate. You guys work on getting the fire started." Max advised as he walked back into the RV.

"Finally something normal." Ben muttered, which didn't go unheard by his cousin.

"I know, I thought it'd have something to do with worms, slugs, or dung beetles." Gwen replied as the two cousins responded with a short laugh. Ben smiled as he got up and placed his hands into his pockets.

"I'll go and gather the sticks." He announced as Gwen nodded in understanding.

"Sounds like a plan."

Ben nodded as he soon walked into the forest with Max coming back out holding crackers and chocolate, "Someone seems eager to have some s'mores." He gestured towards Ben.

"You have no idea." Gwen muttered.

Ben was walking around the forest picking up sticks, before he gazed into the starry night sky. He grinned as he witnessed the floating blinking stars and always wondered what was out there, but one thing he could say was that this view was breathing taking. Maybe if he had kids he'd take them camping, so they could see the view he was experiencing. He quickly shook his head vanishing the thought from his head as a tint of red appeared on his cheeks, 'In order to have kids, I have to find a girlfriend first.'

When Ben thought about his love life, it wasn't really great. Sure he was okay in the looks department, but finding a girl who was actually interested in him was a challenge. His mood then deflated as he thought about his lack of a love life. He grabbed another stick before gazing back into the sky before something flashed through his view, sending the boy wide eyed, "Whoa, a shooting star?!" He yelled in bewilderment.

As he gazed at the 'shooting star' it immediately changed its trajectory and started heading towards him, "Oh sh-" He couldn't even finish his sentence as he took off running in the opposite direction with the 'star' crash landing behind him, sending the boy in question flying into the dirt.

Ben stood up from the ground as he dusted the dirt off himself and walked over to the crash sight. The 'star' was buried in a trench it had created, "A meteor?" Ben questioned, "Great first day of Summer Vacation and I'm almost killed by a meteorite. Typical Tennyson Luck." He got to the edge of the trench and gazed into it and was shocked on what he saw, "It's not a meteorite? Then what the hell is it?" As he got closer to the edge the dirt above him crumbled sending the teenager sliding into trench.

Ben immediately shot up to his feet as he got closer to the strange black orb that tried to kill him, "Is it part of a satellite? No doesn't appear to be anything technological. Then what is it?" His question was soon answered as the black orb opened and a faint green light shined through the darkness of the orb.

"A watch? What's a watch doing in outer space?" Ben questioned, normally when something strange happened he'd report it, but his curiosity got the best of him as he reached out to grab it when the watch in question sprung to life and clamped itself tightly onto his left wrist. Ben immediately went wide eyed as he started freaking out, "Get off! Get off of me! Get off! Get off! Get off!" He repeated pulling with all his might, he soon pulled himself out the trench before grabbing a stick and shoving it inside the band and pushing outwards only for the twig to snap in two.

Ben huffed in annoyance as he got a good look at the watch now attached to his wrist. It was a slim and sleek watch-like shape, with a green wristband, and the face of the dial was black and green in the form of an hourglass. It had a grey rim, with two grey pegs attached to the sides. "Why was there a watch in space? Does this mean something? Can it even come off?" The last question was the one he was more concerned about. Until another question floated into his head, "How does it work?"

He touched the hourglass's faceplate to see if it activated and nothing happened. He touched the two pegs on the side and nothing changed. He sighed in annoyance, "Maybe it's just a regular watch." He replied to himself, until an idea told him to spin the rim.

He was a bit hesitant to listen to that voice in his head, but saw no harm in trying it. Ben spun the rim which seemed to activate it. The dial launched into the air as an emerald hologram appeared before him. Ben jumped back in surprise, "What the hell?" He was a bit taken back on how that actually worked. He gazed at the hologram and it appeared to be some sort of plant monster floating ontop of the hourglasses faceplate.

He looked around cautiously before seeing no one in sight and his attention soon went back to the hologram before him. He pressed the dial down on the hologram before he was blinded in an emerald light. From the trees above and the plants below vines shot outwards wrapping around his body tightly. His feet soon took the appearance as roots, his hands up to his forearm were changed into a fiery orange yellowish color, his face was wrapped tightly in the vines as his eyes turned pure green, with his hair taking on the appearance of fire, orange in the back, yellow in the middle and red in the front. Orange yellowish leaves littered his shoulders with thorns from the vines covering his shoulders. The watches green and black hourglass faceplate appeared in the form of a badge which was wrapped tightly in the vines on his chest.

After the emerald light died down, Ben looked around before gazing down at himself, "AHHHH! I'M A MONSTER!" He yelled running around frantically until he realized a distinct smell fill his nostrils, "Ugh, what is that smell?" He glanced around until he gazed at his armpits and took a whiff, "And I thought I smelt bad when I was normal." He then gazed at his fiery hands and spotted faint circular lines on the palms of his hands, "Wonder what these do?" He kept contemplating till he saw a faint flicker of his palms. His eyes went wide as sparks soon combusted from his palms in a small ball of flames.

"No way, I can control fire?!" He exclaimed. A large grin was plastered onto his face as he gazed at a nearby tree, "Uh huh." The small ball of flames grew a bit larger, "Oh yeah." He then threw the fireball at the tree watching as the flame tore threw the branch, "Oh yeah, ten points!" He cheered then immediately paled when the fire spread onto the tree igniting it and soon spreading into its surrounding neighbours, "Oh man, I'm so busted."

Max and Gwen were sitting around the picnic table waiting for Ben to return. While he was gone, Gwen had been telling her grandpa about how far she's come in martial arts and school. Max couldn't help, but be proud of his granddaughter, but soon started becoming worried Ben hadn't come back, "Gwen, Ben's been gone awhile let's go look for him."

"Okay Grandpa." Gwen replied when they noticed smoke in the distance, "Grandpa, look." Gwen pointed out.

Max's concern grew even more, "Ben!" He soon raced into the RV then came out with two fire extinguisher, "Come on, Gwen." Both raced into the burning forest with the intent of putting it out while finding the culprit.

Ben on the other hand was trying to put the flames out, "Come on Ben, think! Think! If you all you can do is start a fires then there should be a way to put them out!" Ben kept thinking till he came up with the perfect idea, "Back draft! I just need to start another fire and the new fire will snuff out the old one." Ben grinned when something bumped into him.

Ben turned around slightly to see his cousin holding a fire extinguisher. She went wide eyed as she saw the seven foot tall plant monster. She soon sprayed him in the face with the foam from the extinguisher, "Ugh, this stuff is gross." He retorted wiping it off his face to be Judo flipped by his cousin. He landed hard on his back in pain, "Ow! What'd you do that for?!"

"Was this fire your doing?!" She yelled pinning her foot to his throat and holding his right arm to snap it just incase he tried anything, "ANSWER ME!"

"I would...but...your...standing...on...my...throat." Seeing no other option than to scare her, his right forearm temperature started increasing causing Gwen to yelp in pain as she immediately let go to nurse her stinging hands. Ben coughed a bit before he returned his sights on his cousin who was now glaring at him, "Sorry, didn't mean to scare you Gwen. It's me, Ben."

Gwen went wide eyed at the revelation, "Ben? What happened to you?!"

"That'll have to wait we need to put out this fire." Ben answered as Gwen gazed around and had to admit he was right.

She nodded firmly, "What's the plan?"

"Backdraft." He replied instantly.

"Backdraft?" She thought and smirked, "Good thinking Ben, new flames snuff out the old one."

"Let's get to work." He answered as he went racing deeper into the sea of flames. The vines around the lower part of his face wrapped in around him like a mask leaving his emerald eyes. He made it to the edge of the forest before flames bursted from his palms colliding with the trees. The flames roared to life as they made their way into the already burning forest. The mask gave away revealing his mouth to see the two fires collide, "Not only can I control fire, I can raise the temperature on my forearms, get a sweet battle mask, and possibly more. This summer vacation might not be a let down."

With the forest fire taken care of, Gwen and Ben came back to their camp sight to see their grandpa had also come back from a different part of the forest, "Gwen, did you find Ben?" Max asked then caught sight of the seven foot tall alien standing next to her.

"Uh yeah." Gwen replied sheepishly.

"It's me, grandpa." Ben waved with a smile on his face.

"Ben?" Max replied shocked and a bit afraid of what was taking place.

"Yeah, it's me." Ben answered.

"That's what I asked. Is he a monster?" Gwen asked.

"He's not a monster. He's an alien." Max answered gaining quizzical looks from Gwen and Ben which made Max stammer for a minute, "What else could he be if not an alien?"

"Whoa, aliens exist? That's awesome." Ben remarked.

"Tell me how this happened Ben."

Ben nodded as the three sat down at the picnic table and Ben begun his tale of seeing a shooting star which turned out to be this strange black orb containing the green watch. He told them how it jumped and clamped itself onto his wrist and then transforming into this plant alien, and finally him accidentally starting the forest fire.

"Interesting." Max answered.

"What are we gonna do, I don't wanna be stuck as plant guy for the rest of my life." Ben replied.

"What can we do to fix it Grandpa?" Gwen asked which caused Max to shrug his shoulders.

"No idea, we don't have any information on this watch Ben found or the time limit to him being stuck as an alien either." Max was stumped this was out of his area's expertise.

The trio was soon shook out their thoughts when a loud beeping red light started flashing on the badge located on his chest. Then a blinding red light engulfed them as Ben reverted back to normal, "I'm me, again!" He shouted.

"It seems the watch timed out." Max answered as Ben and Gwen looked at him.

"Good, because I don't know how much longer I could stand that stench." Ben replied.

"You talking about you or the alien because either way you both stink." Gwen beamed as Ben shot her a glare.

Ben then glanced at the watch again before seeing the faceplate shine. Desired to touch it again, Max grabbed his arm, "Till we know what we're dealing with don't touch it anymore Ben. I'm gonna go check out the crash sight. You two stay here." He grabbed a flashlight and walked off into the forest leaving Ben and Gwen behind.

Once he was out of sight Gwen turned towards Ben, "How'd it feel?"

Ben gazed at her confused, "Care to elaborate?"

"Going alien. How'd it feel?"

"I don't know. I felt a rush shoot out my body. I felt like I was me, but someone else aswell." Ben tried to explain when he gazed back down at the watch again.

"Don't even think about it." Gwen said simply.

"Oh come on, you can't say you're not curious to know what this thing can do?" He questioned her as she folded her arms over her chest.

"Curious? Of course. Dangerous and Risky? No thank you. Plus grandpa said not to touch it." Gwen remarked.

"When have we ever listened to grandpa?" Ben answered with a raised eyebrow.

Gwen thought for a moment before a grin formed on her face, "Touchè."

Orbiting above Earth, was the large warship undergoing repairs. Inside the control room Vilgax was inside a large tank filled with liquid. He was hooked up to different hoses. His left arm and leg was gone, with his right leg missing. He was in critical condition, but being kept alive in the tank. One of the drones walked over to him.

"Lord Vilgax, the Omnitrix has been located."

"Who...dares...to...use my...Omnitrix...send a mechadroid to retrieve it." Vilgax hoarse voice croaked out as the drone bowed at his masters newest orders and quickly went to activate the mechadroid.

The drone soon typed the coordinates into the mechadroid before deploying the machine. The mechadroid descended towards Earth, crash landing into Yellow Stone National Park. The mechadroid transformed standing at 40 feet tall with more humanoid features and three insectoid legs. They possess great strength and large claws. One it's shoulders where two small mechanical discs. Once it confirmed it's location the two discs on its shoulders ejected.

The two disc's soon transformed into two basic drones. These small, weak, UFO-shaped Mechadroids. They are capable of flight and have several small limbs armed with lasers and blades. With new orders to find the Omnitrix the two soon scoured the forest searching for the watch.

The Mechadroid searched and found the Rangers Station. And begun it's journey towards the station.

Ben grinned as he spun the rim of the watch. Gwen watched in fascination to see the faceplate shoot upwards with the plant alien's hologram appearing once again. Ben turned the dial to the right and the hologram vanished before another soon took it's place. This one looked to resemble a monkey with four arms, "Okay on second thought I think this is a bad idea."

"Well good thing I'm all about bad ideas." He smirked before slamming his hand onto the faceplate. Gwen shielded her eyes as Ben was engulfed in an emerald light.

Ben felt like he was deevolving, he started growing blue fur all over his body. He blinked his eyes as he grew four extra eyes, his ears pointed out, and his teeth grew into fangs with a lone line running directly from his lower lip running downwards unto his chin. The bones in his two arms split into four arms with three fingers one each hand. A tail sprouted out from his butt. Fur covered his forearms, his body, his neck, and face, as two black circular bands were wrapped around all four arms. The green and black hourglass badge appeared on his chest.

The emerald light soon died down as Gwen gazed down to the alien her cousin transformed into, "What can he do?"

"No idea." He screeched. He gazed around before leaping into a tree and laughed. He begun hopping from branch to branch screeching like a monkey, "I'm like some kind of Spider Monkey." He leaped back over to his cousin landing onto the picnic table.

"Why do you say spider monkey?"

"I'm assuming because this form resembles both aspects of species. The monkey displaying more prominent features, having gained enhanced eyesight from the spider, my strength is probably doubled since both are insanely powerful, but the real question is if I can shoot webs. Hence the name SpiderMonkey!" The newly named alien dubbed SpiderMonkey screeched loudly.

"Interesting way to summarize it. But question, if you have the abilities of a spider and a monkey, do you have the sixth sense like your other favorite hero." Gwen asked.

"Peter Parker dubbed it his Spider-Sense. I don't know if I have a similar ability since his activated due to danger. Maybe I have it, maybe I don't. Only way to figure out is if I'm put into that kind of scenario." SpiderMonkey answered, but like Peter Parker a sudden tingling sensation echoed out inside his head, 'Seems I do have that sixth sense.' He grabbed Gwen and launched backwards landing ontop of the Rust Bucket.

"What the fu-" Gwen exclaimed as a red laser beam struck the picnic table. Gwen went wide eyed at the sudden action, "Sixth Sense?"

"Yep." He gazed toward the forest with his enhanced sight could see a brown orange drone with laser beams directed at them. The arm with the laser raised upwards and started glowing bright red before it fired at them.

Another tingling sensation blared out inside his head, "Hold on tight, Gwen, we're going for a ride."

Gwen couldn't even form a proper response when he dodged another volley of laser beams. Gwen yelled in panic as Ben dodged each laser keeping her out of harms way. SpiderMonkey grabbed onto the branches and started swinging between them. Right now he had to keep Gwen safe no matter what, right now he was relying on instinct and his dubbed spider sense. Another tingling sensation echoed out in his head, his legs leaped from the side of a tree dodging another laser beam.

He launched towards another branch when his spider sense blared to life. The branch he was aiming for was blasted before him. SpiderMonkey and Gwen went wide eyed as the duo was now falling to the ground.

"BEN!" Gwen screamed hoping he'd react in time to avoid being flattened like a pancake.

SpiderMonkey's tail sprung to life as a white strand of web erupted from his tail hitting a higher branch. SpiderMonkey used two of his arms to grab firmly onto the web and the other two to keep Gwen in place. He pulled upwards as the two went sailing through the air dodging another beam. SpiderMonkey grinned as he let go of the web and sailed above the ground with his screaming cousin. His tail spun another web, he slung himself towards it as he then flipped off soaring above the trees, 'The longer, I draw this out, the more time I waste before I revort back to normal. I have to hurry up and end this.'

He was soon broken out of his thoughts when his spider sense blared to life yet again, he glanced backwards to see another drone appear, "Shit!" He exclaimed. Another volley of lasers raced towards them as SpiderMonkey dropped towards the ground dodging the rain of fire. He leaped back up to a tree, webbing a nearby boulder, he poured his strength into lifting it when his spider sense blared to life again.

"Ben?" Gwen asked in concern as SpiderMonkey added another arm. The spider sense was ringing even harder inside his head as the lasers started getting closer, "Ben!" Gwen urged as Ben felt the boulder lifting upwards.

"BEN!" Gwen yelled as a laser shot past SpiderMonkey's arm, slicing his arm in the process, but it didn't deter the alien monkey anymore as the alien finally lifted the boulder and swung it upwards.

"Batter up!" He swung the boulder around as the first drone exploded upon impact as the debris from the drone shattered to the ground. SpiderMonkey dropped the boulder and sighed in relief, "One down." His spider sense soon flared up inside his head, "One to go." His grip on Gwen tightened, "Hold on tight." He screeched before launching off the branch and dodging more lasers directed at him.

The last drone used the other arm which seemed to have a saw attached to it. SpiderMonkey launched above the sawed arm and spun a web to a branch dropping to the ground, "Hide." He simply said before releasing his grip on his cousin who ran behind one of the trees for cover. His spider sense blared inside his head as the sawed arm sailed at him from behind. SpiderMonkey quickly leaped above the drone landing on it's head as he raised his arms up and slammed them onto the drones head denting the machinery. He repeated the process again, but to be interrupted by a loud beeping sound. He gazed downwards to his badge to see it flashing red and beeping loudly, "Shit, gotta end this quickly before I time out." He dodged the laser directed at his head thanks to his spider sense.

He launched a fury of punches onto the drone denting the robot's head further as the drone itself started flying out of control, "Have a nice trip." SpiderMonkey begun as he lept to the ground, "See you next fall." He barrel rolled to the ground as a flash of red light engulfed the area and out came Ben Tennyson covered in leaves, "Definitely gotta work on my landings."

He brushed the leaves off himself before seeing the drone get back up, "Damn." The drone scanned the boy quickly before finding it's target clamped to his wrist, but failed to realized the incoming branch smash into its head.

"Back off sparky, no way am I letting some overgrown UFO annihilate my cousin." She smashed the drone to bits before gazing at her shocked cousins face, "Even?"

"Even." Ben grinned hugging her, "Come on let's get back to Grandpa, he must be worried."

When Ben and Gwen made it back to their camp sight, Max had a concerned look on his face. He raced over to his grandkids hugging them tightly, "I was so worried! What happened?!"

"Some robot drones attacked us, and Ben protected us from being roasted alive." Gwen explained.

"I can't take all the credit, you saved me as well. Call it a team effort." He replied as Gwen shrugged slightly.

"Robot drone? What were they after?" Max asked.

"I think they were after Ben." Gwen deduced.

"How so?" Max questioned.

"They were only firing at him, and chasing after him too. I believe they're after the watch." Gwen answered.

"That would make sense since they didn't target you." Ben responded.

"Well I'm glad you two are safe." Max replied as they both nodded firmly to hear a massive explosion in the distance.

"What was that?!" Ben yelled.

"Seems those drones weren't alone." Max answered, "Let's go." The Tennyson family soon took off into the forest heading to the Ranger's Station that was under attack.

When they got there a large 40 foot tall mechadroid was destroying the Ranger's Station. People were screaming in panic as it blew up another Ranger's Jeep.

"Alright, here's the plan, Ben you try to destroy that robot while Gwen and I get the people to safety." Max responded.

"You can count on me Grandpa." Ben took off running behind a tree.

"Let's go Gwen." Gwen and Max soon raced over to the civilians and started helping them evacuate.

Ben spun the watches rim and watched as the dial launched upwards. He spun through the plant aliens hologram, then SpiderMonkey's hologram, before finding a third hologram that resembled a dinosaur. He grinned as he slammed his hand onto the faceplate and was engulfed in an emerald light.

Ben's skin started turning scaly and dark shade of brown. He grew till he was twelve feet tall, with a long tail swinging behind him. His teeth grew into fangs, he grew two large separate fangs on the side of his head, as he grew claws on the ends of his nubbed feet. He grew armor plating on his arms, shoulders, and chest, with silver spikes running from the top of his head down his back, some appeared on both his forearms, and two more appeared on the back of his legs. The green and black hourglass badge appeared on his armorfied chest, "HUMUNGOUSAUR!" The newly dubbed Humungousaur exclaimed, "Huh, Humungousaur? I like it let's go with that!"

Humungousaur jumped from his hiding spot and roared loudly. It seemed more like a primal roar. A dinosaur marking it's territory. Gwen, Max, and the civilians were taken back by the loud roar. The mechadroid gazed over to the dinosaur like alien. It scanned it's body before locating it's target on its chest. The mechadroid immediately lunged for the dinosaur who dodged swiftly to the left, it grabbed it's leg before throwing it over to the ground.

"Guess it is after me." Humungousaur grumbled before the mechadroid fired it's lasers at him. Humungousaur jumped back slightly before more fired at him. He held up his armored forearms before the beams made contact.

Humungousaur gritted his teeth as the searing hot beam collided with his forearms pushing the dinosaur back. The mechadroid seeming it's opportunity grabbed the dinosaur before throwing him into the ground. It brought out its larger sawed hand before bringing it down onto him. Humungousaur went eye wide as the machine brought down onto him. Humungousaur caught the saw in his hands. The mechadroid urged it even further as Humungousaur started losing his grip on it. He let go as the saw collided with the ground next to him almost taking his head off in the process. He grabbed the arm tightly before placing his tiny legs onto the large robot's body and using his strength to launch the robot into the air ripping the sawed arm straight off it's body.

The mechadroid landed on the ground hard as Humungousaur got up slowly to see the Mechadroid aim it's laser at him. Having enough of this robot. Humungousaur gritted his teeth tightly. He balled his hands into fists as he started shaking in anger. Humungousaur started growing, his armor plating becoming more denser, he grew stegosaurus plates ontop of his head running down his back with four metal spikes resting on the opposite sides of his tail. He grew till he was sixty feet tall towering over the mechadroid.

The audience watched in shock as the dinosaur like alien stared down at the robot before it tried firing it's laser beam at him. But the dinosaur wasn't even effected by it. He simply grabbed the mechadroid by its head and lifted it with any effort before punching straight through its chest. Humungousaur then slammed the robot into the ground where he tore the robot into pieces with nothing, but his bare fists. Humungousaur huffed in exhilaration as he stared down at the robot then at his hands. They were covered in the black oil.

"Ben!" Max and Gwen called out as Humungousaur gazed over to them, "Let's go home."

Humungousaur nodded before picking up his grandpa and cousin and leaping into the air leaving behind a bunch of confused people on what just took place. Humungousaur landed by the Rust Bucket, before putting his passengers safely on the ground. He started shrinking, his armor plating returning to normal, and his stegosaurus plates receding back into his body. He went from sixty feet tall back down to twelve feet tall.

"Ben, are you okay?" Gwen asked.

"Yeah, just thinking on how I lost my cool like that." Humungousaur answered when a loud beeping sound echoed out. He gazed down to his badge to see it flashing red. In a blinding red light, Ben was standing in Humungousaur's place, "I think I'mma head to bed." He replied softly. Ben soon walked into the Rust Bucket and jumped into bed not even bothering to change his clothes.

Gwen and Max shared a look before also heading inside the Rust Bucket.

Ben couldn't sleep, he just stared at the Rust Buckets ceiling, before his thoughts drifted to that fight with the robot. He sighed heavily as he gazed over to see his grandpa asleep. He looked at the bunk below him to see Gwen also asleep. He hopped out of bed silently before grabbing his shoes and leaving the Rust Bucket.

Ben stuffed his hands into his pockets as he begun walking in a random direction to try and clear his head. He had read plenty of comic books about various hero's and maybe thought this was his destiny. He was so lost in thought he ended up at the edge of a cliff overlooking the full moon shinning brightly. He sighed before he remembered the first issue of one of his favorite hero's. A quote that stuck with the hero for as long as he lived, "With great power comes great responsibility." Ben smirked, "I'll become a great hero, no, I know I'll be a great hero."

He gazed over the cliff before seeing more trees at the bottom and had to guess it was at least a 40 foot drop. He looked over to the watch and smiled he quickly activated it as he spun through the first three holograms before landing on the fourth one. This one seemed to resemble a manta ray, "Let's see what you can do." He slammed his hand onto the dial as he was engulfed in an emerald light.

Ben started transforming into a manta ray, his head, upper chest, arms, and backside were a dark shade of crimson red. His chest and patagia were white with three gills on both sides of his ribs, with his feet being black while having three toes; two in the front and one in the back. On his hands were also three fingers while also being black. He had lightning bolts on his back side race over his shoulders towards the center of his chest where the crimson red and white clashed. On the sides of his face grew out two yellow large horns, while on his head were two large yellow horns protuding outwards. His eyes were emerald green, while his lips were outlined yellow like his horns. The green and black hourglass badge appeared in the middle of his chest where the lightning bolts met.

As the bright light died down he looked at himself then down the cliff, "Good way to learn to fly, I'm assuming this one can." He recalled a moment where Spider-Man learned how to websling, "All its takes is a leap." His eccentric voice replied softly, "You can do this."

He closed his arms as his patagia blended into his body. He closed his eyes and leaped from the cliff. He felt the wind whipping against his face. He kept his arms in place at his sides as he opened his eyes to see him getting closer and closer towards the trees below. The horns on the sides of his face moved around his face into the form of another mask. He opened his arms out wide before the wind hit his wings sending him upwards into the sky.

"WOOOOOOHOOOOO!" He exclaimed gleefully.

The manta ray alien went soaring along the sky without a care in the world. Enjoying the sensation of being airborne. He decided to pick some speed and went soaring through the skyline. He flew upwards grinning behind his mask before closing his arms and letting gravity take its course as he begun his descent downwards. He raced downwards at insane speeds before opening up his arms before flying upwards, "I'm as fast as a jet." He exclaimed as he begun his flight again, "While resembling a Manta Ray I can't call it that." He grinned as the name immediately came to him, "Rayjet! No that sounds terrible. Jetray! Yes now that's better! JETRAY!" The newly named Jetray exclaimed before he gazed downwards seeing where he was. He decided he should get back to the Rust Bucket.

"This is gonna be one great Summer vacation." Jetray reminded himself as he flew at insane speeds back to the Rust Bucket.
