Chapter 2: Washington BC
Three Days Later
As sirens blared out, they all raced towards the burning building. A mother and her son were trapped inside the building with no way out. The thick black smoke was soon engulfing their lungs making it harder for them to breathe. The mother hugged her son tightly.
"Don't worry, Billy." She assured her son, "We'll get out of here soon."
The boy named Billy nodded firmly when the heat started cooling down. The small boy turned around to see a ghostly figure emerge from the ground. The boy went wide eyed as his gazed into his three emerald moth like eyes. His grip on his mom tightened when the boy saw him. After he turned visible, he got a good look at him.
From underneath the cloak, was three moth eyes; two side by side and one resting in the middle slightly above his nose. His skin looked to be a violet color with what appeared to be fangs for teeth. He wore a cloak that appeared to be made from some raggedy blanket, it was dark shade of blue with light patches on them. He had claws on for hands and three toes two in the front one in the back.
"I'm here to help." His raspy voice echoed out. His mother tightened her grip on the boy.
"Stay away!" She yelled. The moth creature narrowed his eyes in annoyance.
He gazed at the fire around them before a blast of ice shot from his mouth around them. The boy gazed in amazement as the fire was frozen solid. The moth creature soon realized the building was coming down, "Listen this building is about to come down and I'm the only one who can get you to safety, I can't do that unless you trust me."
Billy let go of his mother as she grew concerned when her son walked over to the moth creature, "Can you get us out of here?"
The moth creature nodded firmly before the boy gripped his clawed hand, "Billy, get away from it."
"No mom, if he can get us out of here. Then we should trust him." He replied they then felt the ground tremble and knew the building was coming down.
"We don't have much time, let's go." He replied as he raised his clawed hand towards the skeptical women. She knew he was right, she hesitated before reaching for his violet hand. She gripped his hand, 'Hope this works.' He thought as he became transparent aka intangible shifting the ability over to the mother and her child.
The three figures soon phased through the burning ground. The boy marveled as he phased through the second floor and finally the bottom floor where he levitated them out the front door. The three transparent figures emerged from building, the police officers and firefighters gazed in shock as the moth creature turned tangible again making the mother and son visible again.
The mom soon picked up her son and hugged him tightly, she gazed over the to moth creature before crying happily, "Thank you. Thank you so much!" The civilians gaped in amazement as they then took out there phones before taking videoes and pictures of him.
No one could tell, but he was smiling, "It was nothing." He gazed over to the boy named Billy holding a golden Sumo Slammers card, "Sweet card, kid."
"Thanks Mr. Moth Man." Billy exclaimed as his mother took him over to the ambulance. The moth creature turned intangible again as it phased through the street and out of sight.
Big Chill which Ben had named ended up in an alley to see the Rust Bucket. Gwen opened the door, "Ben, hurry! The fire was just a diversion. There was a robbery at a nearby jewelry store and the robbers are getting away."
Big Chill rushed into the Rust Bucket, "Punch it, grandpa!" He yelled slamming the door. Max pushed down on the gas pedal before the RV took off down the road. It had been a few minutes of speeding before the trio saw a black sedan speeding up ahead.
"All yours, Big Chill." Max announced as Big Chill nodded and lunged towards the dashboard of the RV before turning intangible and phasing through the front of the RV. He unfurrowed his cloak to reveal his body. The cloak took the appearance of two antennas and four large wings. His body was violet, dark blue, and black. On his neck, chest, and thighs were covered in armor plating. With the green and black hourglass badge in the middle of his chest.
Big Chill blasted out a sheet of ice colliding with the sedans back tires. He watched as the sedan crashed into a nearby brick wall. He flipped in the air as his wings and antennas wrapped around his body and head in the form of a hood and cloak. The robbers soon got out the car to see Big Chill.
"What is that?!"
"It's a freak!"
"Ya'know that's hurtful." Big Chill replied, "But I can't let you get away."
"Oh yeah? Then speak into our microphone!" The robber replied as he and his companion pulled out guns and started firing at him.
Big Chill turned intangible as the bullets passed through his body, but when they passed through him they turned to ice and dropped to the ground. The moth alien zoomed forward as the bullets continued to rain down at him. He turned tangible again as he froze both guns, he quickly froze both there hands in handcuffs. The robbers went eye wide as Big Chill froze both there hands together, "Iced to meet you." He quipped. He noticed it wasn't one of his best things, but decided against saying anything else when the sounds of sirens got closer.
Big Chill knew he had to get going because his time as an alien was almost up. He turned intangible and phased through the ground before seeing the police show up to arrest the robbers. He appeared back in the Rust Bucket a few miles back. He saw his cousin in the passenger seat while his grandpa was in the drivers seat.
"How'd it go, Ben?" Max asked.
"All taken care of." He answered as a loud beeping sound alerted the trio. He unfurrowed his wings to seeing his badge flashing red. In a blinding red light Big Chill reverted back to being Ben Tennyson.
"Nice going, Ben." Gwen acknowledged.
"Thanks, so where to now, grandpa?"
"It's Gwen's turn to decide." Max replied.
Ben took a seat at inside the booth, "Where to next, Gwen?"
"I think I know the perfect place." She smirked.
In the state of Washington, in a run down house stood a man outside said house. The windows were boarded up, the lawn was ridiculous high, tiles of the roof seemed to be missing, mail was piled up in the mailbox, the paint on the house seemed to be coming straight off. The man standing on the porch was a heavy set fellow in a black suit with a red tie, he held an assortment of keys. He shifted through the keys before finding the right one and shoving it inside the lock opening the door.
The door to the house creaked open. The landlord slowly stepped into the dark room. The doorway being the only light source in the room. With it he could see a couch over to his right with holes scattered through it, a broken coffee table, a chimney, and tanks filled with an assortment of animals. Ranging from frogs to snakes, lizards and iguana's, he thought he was going crazy because it looked to be a crocodile in a larger cage at the bottom.
He was shocked as the whole room stunk of dead animal skin. He was about to run when the front door slammed shut behind him scarring him out of his skin. The light soon flickered on, barely illuminating the room when he came face to face with the man who'd been the renting the house out.
The man had pale green skin, yellowish eyes, and shoulder length white hair. He wore a grey tank top, brown pants, and black boots, with black fingerless gloves that extended up his forearms. He had grey fingernails that seemed to be a bit too long.
"What do you want?" The man snarled as the man intruded into his home.
The man soon straightened himself out, "Your late on your rent. I'm here to collect the last six months worth of rent. If you don't have it, you're gonna be evicted."
"I have more important things to worry about then your shabby rent." The man replied as he walked into the dining room, "Now get out!"
"Listen, freak. You and your furry pals are gonna be living on the streets if you don't cough of the dough." His landlord responded in angst.
The pale green man glared at him, but soon smirked as he came back into the living room and opened one of the cages. The crocodile slithered out snapping its long jaws at the landlord who jumped back immediately to avoid being bitten. He walked over to a desk and grabbed a grey strainer with two grey poles attached to it with red lights on it. There were ear muffs attached to his ears as he put on a vest with a device in the middle that also connected around his waist.
"I call this device my Transmodulator, with it I'll be able to build an army of monsters, destroying Kelly, winning back my award, and soon dominating the entire world!" He revealed.
"You're demented! Call off your sick sidekick!" His landlord responded hopping onto the couch as the crocodile hissed at him.
"I assume you want a demonstration?" He questioned a smirk growing onto his face, "Observe!" He grabbed the dial on his chest and turned it sideways as a blinding red light hit the crocodile.
The reptile felt power surge throughout its entire body as it grew and grew and grew. The crocodile grew to a whopping sixty feet long and developed a forest of razor-sharp blade-like protrusions from her back, a set of vicious tusks, and a spiny club on her tail similar to that of an Ankylosaurus.
The large mutant crocodile destroyed his house as it, roared loudly as Animo laughed wildly at the monster he created, "SPECTACULAR! Once I kill Kelly, the world will be at my feet! Attack my sweet!"
The mutant crocodile lunged at the screaming landlord before devouring him. Animo laughed wildly as he grinned at his animals escaped, he gazed down to a frog that was croaking at his feet. He grinned again as he activated his transmodulator and zapped the tiny frog.
The transmodulator soon made the frog grow. It is a large, frog-like creature with moss green skin and a light green neck. It has two small horns on its forehead and two bone horns coming out of the sides of its head. It has four red eyes and orange lumps. It has an olive, spiky tongue.
Animo grinned as he hopped onto the mutant frogs head, "Amazing, but in order to achieve my award I need more parts to complete my Transmodulator. And I know just where to find it." He gazed at the TV displaying the new MegaMart. The mutant frog launched out the house with the mutant crocodile following behind them.
Gwen had suggested going to the new MegaMart, the Rust Bucket stopped infront of the large super store. Max gazed at his grandkids, "Alright you two, we're here. Gwen I made a list of food to get so once you're done exploring start getting the stuff on the list. I'm gonna go find somewhere to park."
"Okay Grandpa." Gwen took the money and the list as she and Ben left the Rust Bucket. The duo watched the Rust Bucket pull off as they gazed at each other, "What's wrong with Grandpa?"
"No clue." Ben responded as they journeyed inside the MegaMart.
The Rust Bucket parked in the very back of the parking lot. Max wore a grim look on his face as he walked over to his cabinets and pushed a hidden button. The cabinets opened up revealing a palm scanner. He placed his hand onto it watching it scan his hand the scanner slid upwards revealing a small device and soon a hologram appeared.
"Max Tennyson as I live in breath." The hologram spoke.
"Hello Magister Labrid." Max greeted.
"To what do I owe this call, last I heard you retired?" He asked.
"I was calling to get in touch with Azmuth."
"Azmuth? Why are you tryna call him?" Labrid questioned.
"I think I found the Omnitrix."
"YOU WHAT? Do you have it on you?" Labrid questioned.
"No my grandson found it and is currently attached to his wrist."
"Are you sure it's safe for him to be using? You're more qualified to wield it than him."
"No, my grandson may be the best person to wield it, but I need to contact Azmuth about it." Max responded.
"Sorry to break the news to you Max, but we currently don't know where Azmuth is." Labrid answered solemnly.
"What happened?" Max questioned.
"After Vilgax attacked Azmuth's lab searching for the Omnitrix he just disappeared." Labrid said.
"I see, can you alert anyone nearby that the Omnitrix has been found."
"I'll get right on it, Max. Labrid out." The call soon cut off as Max sighed.
"So much to talking to Azmuth." He soon left the RV and walked over to the MegaMart to see massive explosions occur, "Oh no!" He raced towards the MegaMart concerned for his grandkids.
Ten Minutes Earlier
Ben and Gwen were walking around exploring the super store, "Pretty big store, kinda surprised it has so much."
"I know, alright let's look at this list." Gwen agreed the two cousins gazed at the list before gazing at each other.
"A case of dung beetles?"
"Mouldy cheese?"
"Camel blood? What the hell is grandpa planning to do with this stuff?"
"I hope he's not planning on feeding this to us."
"Gwen, I have a plan." Ben smirked.
"Oh? Let's hear it."
"You know what I say to this list?"
Gwen tilted her head in confusion, "What?"
"I say screw this list. Let's get some actual good food. How much money did grandpa give us for food?"
Gwen quickly shifted through the money, "250."
"That should be more than enough."
Gwen smirked, "You're right, Ben. Let's do it."
Gwen and Ben quickly grabbed a shopping cart and bought food close to 250. Ben told Gwen he was gonna go over to the Electronics aisle. Ben was gazing over the phones, tablets, and laptops till the other side of the wall exploded sending debris flying everywhere. Ben shielded himself behind one of the phone stands when he saw a giant crocodile, a giant frog, and a man ontop of the frog.
Ben went eye wide as the man jumped off the frog and started stealing some of the technology and fixing it up while mumbling to himself. Ben saw security rush over to him.
"FREEZE!" They shouted holding out their weapons.
'Gotta help them.' Ben hid behind an aisle and quickly activated the watch. He scrolled through Swampfire and SpiderMonkey's holograms coming to Humungousaur, "Gotta take out those mutant monsters." He slammed his hand onto the faceplate and was quickly engulfed in an emerald light.
Ben's skin started turning scaly and dark shade of brown. He grew till he was twelve feet tall, with a long tail swinging behind him. His teeth grew into fangs, he grew two large separate fangs on the side of his head, as he grew claws on the ends of his nubbed feet. He grew armor plating on his arms, shoulders, and chest, with silver spikes running from the top of his head down his back, some appeared on both his forearms, and two more appeared on the back of his legs. The green and black hourglass badge appeared on his armorfied chest, "HUMUNGOUSAUR!"
The giant alien dinosaur rushed from the aisle to see the security team firing at them when the mutant crocodile rushed forward about to devour them. Humungousaur started growing, his armor plating becoming more denser, he grew stegosaurus plates ontop of his head running down his back with four metal spikes resting on the opposite sides of his tail. He grew till he was sixty feet tall rivaling the mutant crocodile in size.
Humungousaur tackled the mutant crocodile shocking everyone. Animo went eye wide, "Attack!"
The mutant crocodile slammed its massive tail into Humungousaur's chest sending him flying onto his back destroying most of the electronic's department. The mutant frogs tongue wrapped around his leg and sent him flying. Humungousaur flipped back onto his legs to see the mutant crocodile hissing and growling at him while the frog was hopping over to him.
"You'll never be able to defeat the great Dr. Animo!" He boasted as the mutant crocodile raced towards him. Humungousaur caught the mutant croc's jaws as its strength caused the dinosaur to slide backwards.
Gwen had heard the commotion and came running quickly hiding in one of the aisles. She glanced around to see the psychotic doctor in the pets aisle. He turned his knob and a blinding red light hit a small hamster turning it into a rampaging monster. She went wide eyed as she saw the mutant crocodile and mutant frog battling against a full grown Humungousaur.
She quickly saw a small white cockatoo become a mutant bird monster. Soon Humungousaur was surrounded by the mutant monster army.
"Soon, I'll be turning Washington D.C. Into Washington B.C!" Animo announced.
Humungousaur punched the mutant frog away as the mutant hamster jumped onto his shoulder trying to bite him when he grabbed him and slammed him into the ground. The mutant crocodile's tail slammed into Humungousaur's face. Animo laughed loudly as he hopped onto his mutant cockatoo and flew out the wall while his mutant frog followed after him.
Gwen knew her cousin was in trouble and she had to do something to help him. Her thought's were soon broken when she heard a faint growl and gazed about her to see the mutant hamster above her. She screamed loudly gaining Humungousaur's attention as he was pinned under the mutant crocodile.
"Gwen!" Humungousaur gritted his teeth in anger as he picked up the mutant crocodile and tossed him aside. The mutant crocodile roared loudly as the dinosaur alien went charging for the mutant hamster as it was about to harm his cousin.
Humungousaur tackled the rodent away as it went sliding backwards. Humungousaur quickly picked up his cousin as the mutant hamster snarled angrily, he glanced behind him to see the mutant crocodile approaching, "This isn't looking to good Gwen."
"What are we gonna do?" Gwen asked.
Ben couldn't even answer as the mutant hamster charged forward gaining his attention. Humungousaur quickly backhanded the hamster away, but it left himself open as the mutant crocodile pounced on him biting his right arm making him yell in pain as it tried to tear his arm off. Humungousaur tightened his grip on Gwen to avoid dropping her. Humungousaur couldn't think of winning without killing these creatures and he couldn't do it. The mutant Hamster saw it's opening and went for the girl in his hand.
Gwen screamed as she saw the approaching rodent. Humungousaur gritted his teeth as he grabbed the mutant crocodile and lifted up its jaw, freeing his right arm before snaking his arm away from the rodent. Humungousaur launched backwards putting himself back from the mutant monsters, "Gwen, I'm gonna have to put them down. Get on my back and don't let go." His voice solemn as the girl in question nodded rapidly climbing up the stegosaurus plates and holding on for dear life.
The mutant hamster hopped onto a nearby aisle and snarled angrily as the mutant crocodile crawled towards them. Humungousaur roared menacingly to assert his dominance over them, but it didn't deter the mutant creatures. The mutant crocodile rushed forward as did Humungousaur, but he caught the giant mutants jaws before it could try to bite him. He hopped onto the crocs back still holding its jaws tightly. Gwen tried to hang on tightly, but went wide eyed as the mutant rodent caught sight of her and hopped onto the crocs back and raced towards the distracted dinosaur, "Ben?" Gwen asked, but it fell on deaf ears as Humungousaur was too busy trying to deal with the greater threat.
Gwen quickly tried climbing up her cousins back to avoid becoming that hamster's chew toy. The mutant crocodile kept thrashing around to avoid being killed by the giant dinosaur. The crocodile started crashing through multiple aisles trying to throw the dinosaur alien off of itself. Humungousaur gazed upwards to see a wall approaching as it rammed them straight through into the parking lot where the civilians started running in panic. Gwen kept climbing higher looking down to see the hamster snarl at her. Humungousaur was finally bucked off the mutant crocodile flying through the parking lot before righting himself to avoid landing on his back. Humungousaur grabbed a nearby car and flung it at the mutant crocodile. Seeing it collide with the mutant crocodile and seeing it explode seemed to calm his nerves, but he gritted his teeth in anger as the mutant crocodile roared loudly.
Humungousaur gazed at another car before thinking about a movie he saw a few years back. He slammed both his fists into the roofs of two separate cars before tearing them apart and making them into mechanized fists. Humungousaur glared at the mutant reptile before slamming the make shift fists together before rushing the mutant reptile. He punched the crocodile repeatedly destroying his make shift fists in the process as they collided with the croc. The mutant rodent roared before pouncing on the dinosaur who caught it by the neck and slamming it into the ground and slamming both his fists ontop of it ending it's life.
Humungousaur was too distracted by the hamster to see the mutant crocodile get back up and slam it's jaws around his throat. Humungousaur clutched it's jaws tightly losing oxygen and feeling the predators teeth pinned as it burrowed further into his throat. Gwen's eyes widened as Humungousaur was forced to the ground as the mutant crocodile's teeth pushed further into his throat, "BEN!" She yelled as Humungousaur tried to muster up the strength to pry the jaws off of him, but all was seeming lost when he felt it tighten around him.
'This is it. This is how I die.' He thought when someone's voice broke him of his thoughts.
"Get your damn hands off my grandson!" Max yelled blasting the mutant crocodile who let go of the alien and rushed towards him.
Humungousaur saw his grandfather with some sort of weaponized gun and saw the crocodile after him. Humungousaur felt rage penetrate his body as he got up to his feet and jumped high and landed ontop of the mutant crocodile slamming both fists ontop of it. He grabbed its jaws again and using his new found burst of strength started pulling them apart. The crocodile tried to shake him off like before, but he refused to let go. He pulled and pulled and pulled till he tore the upper jaw straight off. The crocodile's blood erupted splattering everywhere.
Humungousaur panted heavily as he held the crocodile's head in shock before hearing a loud beeping sound. He gazed down to see his badge flashing red. He grabbed Gwen who was still surprisingly on his back and placed her on the ground before a flash of red blinded the duo and Humungousaur reverted back to Ben Tennyson who looked to be extremely distraught. He was shaking not from adrenaline, but fear. Fear coursed throughout his veins as he felt his neck the crocodile's fangs had tore through his skin.
Max and Gwen had to literally drag him away as Helicopters and SWAT members took over the scene. The trio were safe inside the Rust Bucket. They drove off parking atleast four blocks away. No one caught sight of Humungousaur disappearing. Max and Gwen were watching the news currently.
"It appears a giant monster took place here, between what seemed to be a dinosaur resembling a stegosaurus and what looked to be a mutant crocodile and mutant hamster. We have confirmed no one was hurt from this large commotion. We have video evidence of the fight seeing the dinosaur achieve victory over the two enemies, but no idea on where the dinosaur had disappeared off too." The news reporter replied as they showed the video of Humungousaur and the mutant crocodile. Gwen and Max sighed in relief when they couldn't see them in the video.
Gwen had bandaged Ben's neck and arm, he said nothing as Max took a seat infront of them. Ben was too scared of what would of happened if his grandpa hadn't stepped in when he did. Would he had been able to win? That answered dawned on him when the voice in his head answered back, 'If you came at them with the intention to kill from the beginning, then he wouldn't have had to put his family in danger.' No matter how wrong the voice sounded it Ben had to come to terms on how right it was.
"What happened that led to this?" Max asked extremely concerned for the cause of a battle like this.
"Some psychotic doctor mutated those animals and fled the scene." Gwen answered she knew Ben could explain it better than her, but he was too in his head on what happened.
"We'll go after this creep, but I'm glad you two are safe. Especially you, Ben." Max replied as Ben looked upwards to see a soft smile on his grandfather's face.
"Thanks grandpa, but this Animo isn't gonna stop. We need to go after him now." Ben answered.
"Ben, are you sure? After that fight, I'm sure you're quite shaken up." Max responded.
"I was just thinking..." He answered.
"On what?" Gwen asked.
"If I had came at them with the intention to...kill. We wouldn't be in this situation. It's my fault that we destroyed the MegaMart." Ben replied as tears streamed down his face.
Max could see how this was tearing his grandson apart. He got up from his seat and hugged him as the teenager cried into his shirt, "Ben, listen to me. No one was hurt in this battle. You saved everyone and I'm glad you didn't wanna have to kill them, but remember they're mindless animals acting on instinct and you were the biggest threat standing between civilians and them. If it hadn't been for you, your cousin, me, and even you wouldn't be standing here. I'm proud of you, Ben."
Gwen also joined the hug, "He's right, Ben. You threw away your own safety to protect me. I'm proud to have you as a cousin. Now let's go beat this sick bastard."
Ben couldn't help, but smile through his tears, "Thanks guys."
"Now, Ben did this Animo mention where he was going?"
Ben wiped his tears as he tried to remember what that weirdo was going on about, "He said something about Washington DC becoming Washington BC."
"What does that mean?" Gwen asked.
"It means he's planning on making an army of more of those mutant monsters more dangerous ones, but the real question where is he going?" Max said.
Ben went wide eyed at where he was going, "I know where he's going!" Max and Gwen exchanged looks before looking back at the alien hero.
As the Sun begun to set, the Rust Bucket stopped infront of a large building. The trio gazed at it before reading the title, "A National History Museum?" Gwen questioned, "Are you sure he's here?"
"No doubt about it." Ben replied firmly.
Max turned off the RV, "Alright let's head inside."
The Tennyson family soon journeyed inside the closed Museum. They passed different exhibits until coming to the prehistoric exhibit where they caught Dr. Animo fiddling with the knob on his chest. Animo turned around to see them and glared.
"You're really starting to become a throne in my side." He acknowledged.
"You're not getting away this time, Dr. Freak-a-Zoid." Ben announced.
"It's Dr. Animo, you brat! I have an award ceremony I'm late for! I'm sure you've seen I can mutate animals, but not only can I mutate them I can reanimate their cells." Animo boasted.
The trio didn't like how that sounded till Animo grinned evilly, "Observe!" He turned the knob in the opposite direction before gazing around before seeing the bones of a saber tooth tiger and they watched in horror as the flesh and skin of the beast was soon revived with a few places being left open.
The Smilodon roared loudly as Animo laughed gleefully, "Now if you'll excuse me, I'm late to pick up my award while killing that asshole Kelly." He rushed deeper into the prehistoric exhibit.
The Smilodon roared again as it walked over to them getting ready to maul them into bits. Ben gazed at his family, "You guys follow Animo. I'll take care of fluffy." Ben didn't even give them a chance to argue when he activated the watch immediately and slammed it onto the fifth hologram blinding them in an emerald green light.
Ben's body started hardening into magenta crystal. The left side of his arm and part of his body turned a red color while his right arm remained magenta while his right hand was red. Two large pink crystals were located on his back, a medium sized crystal layed on his right shoulder, and a smaller crystal below his right shoulder. His left arm was litered in crystals, four around his shoulder and three going down his forearm. Two were located on his chest, while two layed on his feet. Ben's face closed in on itself as it was covered in the crystals, his eyes were emerald. His face was magenta with a mix pink under his chin and above his eyes. A lone crystal took it's place on the top of his head, but it's color was different from the rest on his body, it was red like his body. The green and black hourglass badge appeared on his chest with a small red crystal and pink crystal attached to the badge.
After the emerald light died down, the crystalized Ben Tennyson tightened his fists, "Bring it on, you overgrown kitty cat!" He raced forward as did the large beast, but the magenta crystal alien was faster and slammed its fist into the Smilodon's face sending it away from the entrance into the prehistoric exhibit.
Max and Gwen soon raced after Animo while Ben or whoever he turned into kept the beast off of them. Before they could advance further the large white cockatoo screeched at them. Gwen looked around and saw a caveman holding a spear. She twirled it around before slamming it onto the birds head watching it ran away in fright. Max gazed in awe.
"Ben's not the only one with skills." She responded as the two journeyed to the last room in the exhibit that housed a Tyrannosaurs Rex.
"Oh it's you two. I'm sorry, but you're too late. After I kill Kelly, obtain my reward, I'll rule the world!" He replied. He soon turned towards the dinosaur's bones and smirked, "It's all over!"
He soon activated his transmodulator and reanimated the T-Rex. The T-Rex's eyes were red, while parts of its body was left open revealing it's flesh and bones. It roared loudly as Animo laughed evilly before hopping onto it's back, "Next stop, a dead Kelly!" The dinosaur bursted through the wall and off into the distance.
The large saber jumped at Ben again only to be blasted by a multicolored beam hitting it directly in his chest rocketing it back. The tiger snarled in rage as it raced towards him again. Ben lept off the ground round house kicking the beast shattering one of its large fangs, sending it sliding onto the ground. The Smilodon roared again as Ben chuckled inwardly, "You're going down, cat!" He raced forward as did the beast, but since it was a reanimated tiger, Ben didn't hold back and punched straight through the tigers head. His fist shattered the tigers skull before it dropped to the ground as it took its last breaths. Ben sighed in relief before running after his cousin and grandpa.
Max and Gwen gazed at the retreating dinosaur's backside before the cockatoo came flying down grabbing hold of Gwen. Gwen went screaming in panic as Max went wide eyed at this he quickly turned towards the entrance to the dinosaur's exhibit and yelled at the top of his lungs, "BEN!"
Ben came rushing through the entrance and out the makeshift exit. He quickly launched off the ground before shooting upwards. He glare dangerously at the bird, "Polly want a cracker?" He cocked both arms to his side and built up a large blinding rainbow beam and thrusted his arms forward and hit the mutant bird in the wing, trying to avoid hitting his cousin.
The mutant bird screeched in pain as it started falling as did Ben. He gazed at the ground and sighed inwardly before a thought occurred, 'Can I switch aliens?' He didn't answer with the ground approaching rapidly, "Sure, hope this works." He tapped his badge and another emerald light occurred. In the crystalized aliens place was the crimson red and white manta ray known as, "JETRAY!"
The manta ray alien opened his patagia as he went sailing back into the sky. The cockatoo soon righted himself as it went flying after Animo. Jetrays horns formed into his battle mask as his emerald eyes shone brightly as neuroshock blast shot out of his eyes and hit the cockatoo. It squealed in pain as it's grip on Gwen loosened dropping the red haired girl.
Jetray wasted no time as he zoomed at breakneck speeds to catch his falling cousin. He soon caught his cousin before shooting back into the sky when the mutant bird came flying after them, "Gwen, do you trust me?"
"Not when you're flying!" She yelled as he dodged an attempt at a tackle from the cockatoo.
"Sorry, but forgive me." He flew faster as he tossed his cousin high into the air who screamed at him. Distracted by his high flying cousin, the cockatoo tackled him. Jetray gritted his teeth as he righted himself as he shot more neuroshock blasts from his eyes. Hitting the cockatoo directly in his chest watching the beast collide with a nearby rooftop, "Hopefully, you don't get back up!"
"BEN!" Gwen yelled snapping him out of his stupor. Jetray gazed around with his enhanced eyesight and zoomed at even greater speeds. Gwen was close to the ground as tears fell from her eyes, 'This is it.' She closed her eyes waiting for the impact to come.
Jetray zoomed even faster as he grabbed her leg and shooting right into the sky holding her close, "Calm down, Gwen. I won't let anything happen to you. I'm sorry."
"You jerk! I hate you!" She sobbed as Jetray chuckled.
"I'm sorry." He replied again. He started lowering himself to the ground as his badge started flashing red. Gwen shielded her eyes as he reverted back to normal, "That's it?" He gazed at himself, "I was Humungousaur for a solid forty minutes, Thank God, and I was that crystal guy for 5 minutes and Jetray another 5 minutes and you decide to time out now!"
"Wait, how did you switch aliens?" Gwen asked.
"I don't know to be honest. I was hoping to avoid being squished like a pancake and it just happened. I guess switching between aliens drains the watch even more." Ben theorized.
"Seems so." Gwen agreed when the two cousins heard a familiar RV horn. They turned around to see Max with a smile on his face.
"Need a ride?"
"Grandpa!" Ben and Gwen soon raced inside, "We need to hurry before Animo hurts someone."
"Let's move then! He said something about an award ceremony and I believe I know where it's gonna be held." Max answered driving away.
In another part of the City, an award ceremony was taking place. The man named Kelly had won, but his victory was short lived when Animo bursted through the wall ontop of the T-Rex, "Am I late?" Animo laughed.
"Animo?" Kelly muttered as the mad scientist laughed loudly.
"Of course, I'm here for my award." Animo revealed sending him laughing madly while even screamed in panic rushing for the door.
The Tennyson family soon pushed through the crowd to see the T-Rex, Animo, and a scared Kelly holding a golden trophy. Ben rushed behind one of the pillars before quickly activiting the watch. He scrolled through the holograms before finding an alien that was shorter than the rest of them. He slammed his hand onto the dial and was engulfed in an emerald light.
Ben started shrinking and was soon engulfed in a white containment suit. A pair of headphones rested ontop of his head, with a grey visor with his emerald eyes shining behind them. The headphones were connected to a backpack on his back with the number 10 on it. On his legs resembled cassette tapes. On his forearms were grey bands with green sound holes in them. A large black line took up most of his face went down his face and towards his neck where it stopped. His fingers were black, as a black line encircled his knee and the bottom of his feet. On his shoulders were two black lines as they raced down his back and resumed around his waist and formed a giant black circle in the middle of his chest where his green and black hourglass badge resided, "ECHO ECHO!" The sound alien exclaimed as out popped five more of him.
"Alright, boys, you know the plan." The prime Echo responded, they nodded, "Let's get to work then." The six Echoes soon raced up to the stage and stood protectively of Kelly, "Shows over, dr. Freak show. Give it up!"
"It's you again! I saw how you defeated my pets, but you're going down!" Animo yelled angrily and snapped his fingers as the T-Rex roared loudly. Animo hid behind the T-Rex as the Echoes raced at the large prehistoric carnivore. More Echoes hopped out his body.
They all held onto the T-Rex shouting, "Got you! Got you! Got you! Got you! Got you!" In an echoy voice. They were punching and kicking the large dinosaur when twelve echoes surrounded it. They nodded before a massive sonic scream erupted from their green mouths. Animo, Kelly, Gwen, and Max covered their ears in pain as the scream hit their eardrums. The T-Rex roared in pain as the echoes kept attacking him.
One Echo dropped onto his hands and knees as another launched onto his back before punching the T-Rex. As he boosted another Echo who let out a massive scream hitting him directly. And another duplicated itself so it went from one to ten. They gripped his face tightly punching him repeatedly as the others on his body held onto it tightly.
The giant cockatoo flew through the giant hole before trying to attack the echoes. The prime Echo Echo raced forward as more duplicates hopped out of his body tackling the large bird to the ground. It screamed in pain as it crash landed into the various tables and chairs. The mutant cockatoo grabbed one of the echoes and threw him onto a table, but it didn't stop them as more duplicates hopped out of him. They surrounded the large bird before sonic screams erupted from them hitting the large bird hard. Twelve echoes soon surrounded the T-Rex and nodded to each other.
"WALL OF SOUND!" They shouted in unison as a massive sonic scream erupted from them hitting the T-Rex as he dropped to its knees in pain. While they were distracted Animo tried sneaking away when one Echo stood infront of him smiling victoriously, "Where do you think your going?" The said Echo launched at him punching him square in the face. Another Echo was on his hands and knees again tripping him.
Echo Echo surrounded the fallen Animo as he backed up afraid. They soon delivered a massive beatdown onto the mad scientist taking his transmodulator in the process, "NO MY TRANSMODULATOR!" One Echo roundhouse kicked him knocking him out. Echo Echo dropped his transmodulator on the ground before screaming loudly at it destroying it in the process.
He picked up the remains as he glanced at the dinosaur turning into bones. He glanced over as the mutant cockatoo returned back to normal and flew over to Gwen sitting on her shoulder trying to suck up to her, "Don't even think about it." She responded.
Echo Echo's duplicates all returned to him as he soon heard multiple police sirens approaching. He glanced over to a panicked Kelly who backed away in fear, "Don't worry, I'm not gonna hurt you." He smirked before picking up the remains of Animo's Transmodulator and racing out the large hole the T-Rex caused.
Echo Echo watched from a nearby rooftop as Animo left in the police's custody and grinned before heading back to the Rust Bucket.
Ben sat in the RV placing the transmodulator's remains inside a box next to one of the drones arms. The small white cockatoo sat on Ben's shoulder rubbing his face against him chirping happily, "And with that Dr. Frankenstein is no more."
"Thanks to you, Ben. I'm proud of you." Max said.
"No it wasn't just me. It was a team effort." Ben responded, "If it wasn't for you guys helping me after that major monster fight I don't know where I'd be."
"That's what families are for Ben and thank you for saving me repeatedly." Gwen smiled.
"It's no problem and again I'm sorry for throwing you like that." Ben replied sheepishly rubbing the back of his head.
"Water under the bridge." Gwen waved her hand dismissively.
"Alright." He soon stood up drawing Gwen's attention.
"Where are you going?" Gwen asked.
"I need another shower, I smell like dead animal flesh." Ben responded as the cockatoo flew over to Gwen and sat on her shoulder.
"Alright." She scratched under the cockatoo's chin before heading it coo softly. She then watched as it flew and sat on the fridge before walking over to journey her grandpa upfront. She soon buckled up before Max spoke again.
"I'm surprised Gwen, before you'd gotten revenge for that." Max replied.
"I'm not that petty, grandpa." Gwen responded nonchalantly.
It was then fifteen minutes later, when they heard a loud scream come from the bathroom. Ben came out in white socks, black jeans, and a white T-shirt. But what caught their attention was his hair it went from its Auburn brown to hot pink. Max stared at his grandson in shock as Gwen was crackling from laughter.
"WHAT THE HELL?!" Ben screamed.
"Consider that payback for throwing me like a ragdoll." She snickered.
"I thought you said water under the bridge!" Ben yelled.
"I lied." She said simply.
"I'm gonna get you back for this. Mark. My. Words." Ben glared as he stormed back into the bathroom in a huff.
"Not that petty, huh?" Max gazed at her.
She shrugged her arms, "I don't know what you're talking about." She and Max chuckled, "Ben is right. This is gonna be a great Summer vacation." Max smiled as he kept driving the Rust Bucket to there next destination.
