The three children fought their way into the mines without the help of Elaina. As much as Elaina wanted to help them, they insisted that it was better for Elaina to just watch them instead of actively helping them as to "accumulate their experience" and let them soak it in much better. As a result, Elaina was just tagging along with them as they continued to fight the enemies all by themselves. And for once, Elaina is a bit jealous of how they are still full of energy even after all the fighting they have been doing for a few hours already.
Thankfully, they do rest in the resting spots of the mines. Since the children have been hungry from fighting, Elaina and the kids stopped at the hot springs and have taken their snacks there. Considering how time stops in the mines, by the time they get out of the mines, they will be eating the actual lunch instead of the food that Elaina bought for them in case they get hungry. The kids are pretty much big eaters.
