Nathanael's pov:
"A cat?" I simply had to make sure I'd heard her right the first time.
"Yeah!" she holds her hands open as though it'll make her words physically materialize, "The guard will hear meows from the basement, come down to check and open the door for us. That way we'll be able to see the actual basement instead of the loop," she grins from ear to ear, although seeing as it doesn't reach her eyes, I conclude that it is a sarcastic one.
"I suppose that's going to be easy enough to do. A simple illusion spell would arouse less suspicion than me flashing my badge to poke around," hands on his hips, he stares intently at his daughter, asking no questions about the loop she just mentioned.
"I can do that," Avery, who still sits on the couch, interjects.
"No, you won't," The three of us turn to Rosemary, "As long as we're talking about basic spells, then I can handle it just fine," she affirms.
