Rosemary's pov:
Smooth sailing it's all been. After sneaking to the museum through an open window, the rest of the plan worked like it was supposed to. Well, it is working like it's supposed to. I walk in the night guard's tracks as he descends the stairs towards the basement door where Nathanael, Richard and Avery are currently waiting. All it took was for the man's gaze to land on the rune for him to start hearing something that was never there.
"That's… Odd," he mutters when trying to unlock the door.
We left it that way when we exited the tunnel earlier. It seems nobody visited the place after us.
"Fuck me…," the security guard inhales deeply before exhaling, shaking his head through the process upon realizing that there is, indeed, no cat in the basement.
He storms out of the room, slamming the door behind himself and locking it, but by now, the four of us are already inside.
"He's gone," says Nathanael.
