Chapter 145 - Chapter 144 Frostborn.

Suddenly, Karna's vision went the familiar white color, and when he was finally able to see something, he was in the soul realm with all the dragons present there with him—including the new addition, standing on top of a new mountain made entirely of deep blue ice.

Looking at it now, the dragon looked just as majestic as the other dragon kings at first glance. But I could also see the potential the other dragons were talking about. The amount of energy he was giving out was comparable to the other dragon kings, who were centuries older than he was. Plus, the most important thing that showed his power was his size.

The kid was not even half as large as the other dragons.

For a moment, even I was confused about that. When the other dragons told me about him being less than a century old and barely a teenager, I was expecting a full-grown dragon with a personality like Natsu—just in the form of a dragon.

Never knew they had a growth cycle where they grow from kid size to HOLY HELL THAT'S A DRAGON size. The kid must have gotten taunted by the dragons a lot since he was strong enough to only be with the dragon kings.

Oh, forgot to mention that, didn't I? The ice dragon was giving out a freezing aura that would most likely freeze most of the A and low-end S-class wizards—unless they have a skill that can act as a counter or protect them against it.

The only reason I was not shivering in my boots was because of the heat energy Igneel was sending my way. Guess the guy is thoughtful, even if he looks like the dumbass overgrown version of Natsu most of the time. It takes more than brute force to be a king, I guess.

As the dragons were looking toward the ice dragon with serious faces, I began to think something bad was happening.

"Guess it was too late, huh?" Raijin spoke out first, but there was an obvious sense of him forcing the sadness in his voice.

"Yes, we were," Metallicana, for the first time ever, spoke without growling and creating clinking metal sounds every 10 seconds while moving. "He was so young."

"Such a tragedy. He even shrank by 10 centimeters," Weisslogia commented while slightly shaking.

"WHAT THE FU#K DO YOU MEAN, YOU BASTARDS? I'M STILL THE SAME HEIGHT AND STILL ALIVE!" the frost dragon screamed out loud, and the first thing that came to my mind was:

'Why the hell is his voice so high-pitched?'

Yep, the dragon of coldness has a high-pitched voice, like his throat was completely smooth and the voice was echoing in a really smooth manner. And since he was trying to sound angry, he looked all the more like a kid shouting at adults.

"Kh... hmm," Grandine was shaking while trying her best not to smile, while the other dragons were laughing as loud as they could.

The ice dragon tried to attack them, but it seemed like he was not used to the soul realm that much, since most of his attacks were easily shrugged off by the dragons.

This continued for another hour, where the ice dragon started to bring out creative works in the family of swear words. Gotta say, the kid is showing great potential in that department. But seeing that they were going for idle chatter and many more hours of trying to kill the little guy with words alone, I exited as soon as possible after talking about it to Grandine. I learned my lesson last time from these chumps.

And just as I exited, I began climbing to the surface from the ravine until I saw the sky. I immediately activated Incursio and used the thunder element to boost its speed to the maximum before heading to Fiore.

But instead of the guild, I diverted slightly so that I would go straight to Cait Shelter. By now, the guilds must have started their plan for collaboration to deal with Oracion Seiss. The battle, in its entirety, had lasted only two days, with the third day for celebration and goodbyes.

Wasting my time going back to the guild is useless, as I'm sure that the difficulty of the situation would have risen up by a lot. If my guess is right, the chances of more people converting to the evil side are very high. Plus, dealing with Zero before he gets released will remove most of my headaches later on.

[Special Quest]

'I really had to think about that,' Karna cursed.

[Optional Quest:

Beat Zero completely after releasing him without using Death Slayer and Incursio armor. Let out the old hunter who used to strike from the shadows instead of brute-forcing like every other idiot. Show them the might of the Fairy Hunter who used to make the underworld shiver in his wake.

Reward: Information about the upcoming war later on. If not for this reward, acquiring information will be extremely difficult and it will be too late.]

Karna looked seriously at the quest. In a way, it was extremely useful to him, as the only clue he had was the soul lamb, which only told him about the danger being something hidden in the darkness.

As he looked at the quest and increased his speed of flight, his senses failed to notice someone who was watching him at the time.

"A strong child with the auras of the vanished Dragon Kings. What were you doing at the tomb of the cold dragon to make his entire aura disappear from the mountain?" Selene mused to herself as Karna disappeared from her sight as he increased his speed.

"Well, no matter. I'm sure when the day of the prophesied Battle of the Dragon King Festival that includes the Dragon God arrives, he will be a valuable pawn of mine," she muttered. "All that remains is to find out his secrets so that I can completely control him."

Selene mused, not knowing the kind of calamity she was bringing upon herself.
