The Ether Passage seemed lengthy, yet Gaven only took three steps to arrive in front of the Witch's Cottage. This was a testament to the malleability of consciousness in the Ether Plane, where the Laws of Physics were vague, and it was consciousness that became omnipotent, able to shape anything. If you were strong enough, you could even become a Creator God and forge your own Semi-Ether Plane, where everything was conjured by you alone.
Philancy's cottage, or so it appears from the outside, had an interior far larger than one could imagine, with a multi-layered structure and spiraling staircases ascending upwards – this was a Mage Tower.
