Zoren's gaze on Nathalie lowered as he let out a shallow breath. "Would I die for everyone?"
Maybe.
When Zoren woke up in this lifetime, he didn't have a reason to live. If anything, just like Nathalie, he also believed he should simply die. That his life meant nothing, but his death might.
For the longest time, he believed in that.
Even when his brain shut out all these previous memories to keep him going, his heart and soul knew he shouldn't be there. Hence, his health simply started deteriorating on its own.
