Kizer didn't want to leave during the day since it would be very hot. His body wouldn't be affected by the temperature, but his concern was about Kaya, after all, they're still going inside a desert where the sun mostly had its eye on. And so, Bumi and Kaya arrived on top of the tower again during the night.
"Why have you brought books, Kaya?" Kizer asked, eying the books that Kaya was holding with an apathetic face.
He already had an idea as to why, but he wanted to hear it from her directly.
Kaya just smiled innocently and said, "I've heard from Bumi that Wan Shi Tong likes to collect books to stack inside his library, so I thought that it wouldn't be bad to give him more to help."
Kizer didn't say anything in response and instead looked at Bumi with the same expression, but Bumi could feel an invisible pressure from that gaze, which caused him to sweat and scratch his head.
He didn't really want to say anything back, since that would probably anger Kizer, which he didn't want directed at him.
"Come with me, Kaya. We're flying directly there," Kizer said as he used his earth bending to get the books on Kaya's hand.
Then he used his earth bending again to make a near-perfect flat circle rock that could fit ten people on top and float in the air. He then jumped on top, followed by Kaya and Bumi.
He couldn't really use his earth bending to make them fly like him since that takes thousands of small, flat rocks to cover the body. And with his metal-like body, those small, flat rocks don't damage skin even a single bit when applying his mass and the speed of flying.
If he did use it for Kaya and Bumi to make them fly, then those flat rocks might enter inside their bodies, potentially killing them after the acceleration. He had the option to cover their whole bodies or slow down the flight, but he didn't like that idea since it was slow and unpleasant.
So his only option now was this big, flat circle rock that could fly at what he considered a moderate speed that Kaya and Bumi could handle.
After Bumi got on, Kizer started flying the rock circle in the direction of the Si Wong Desert, where the spirit library is located.
---
It was now deep in the night when Kizer, Kaya, and Bumi had arrived at the location where the library of Wan Shi Tong is located. There are dozens of elite warriors that Kizer personally ordered to guard this place, as well as to prevent any intention of the owner inside to close the library and submerge it underground again.
Thus, six of his elite soldiers were surrounding the library, holding it in place with their advanced earth bending. There were visible tremors around the library, which were probably from the fact that it was trying to submerge itself but couldn't pass the earth benders that were preventing it from doing so.
When the elite soldiers noticed Kizer from above watching them, they all bowed, which Kizer ignored as he drove straight inside the spirit library.
When they entered, they immediately met the owner of the library, Wan Shi Tong, who was looking above with anger visible all over his face. Now, angering a spirit was not something anyone would have liked to do, since they didn't want to get any repercussions. But Kizer didn't care as he smoked inside the library and directly looked down at the oversized owl with an expressionless face.
"You humans... No, are you even a human?" Wan Shi Tong asked, his tone containing worry, fear, and anger, as he looked directly at Kizer.
Kizer would normally just kill anyone who dared to question him while looking directly at them in the eyes, since he thought of that action as defying his authority and power, but Kaya was here with him this time and he didn't want her to see that side of him.
"Keke, hello there!" Bumi exclaimed as he dropped down from the flying rock and landed in front of Wan Shi Tong.
"And you, who are you?"
"I'm Bumi! Nice to meet ya," Bumi said as he offered his hand.
Wan Shi Tong rejected it as he looked back up, specifically at Kizer. "You humans have no right to be here without my permission, so leave!" he shouted with obvious anger.
Had he not felt a very strong pressure and danger from the man on top of the floating rock, he would have just directly attacked them. But he felt like he would just die without a fight by doing so. He didn't understand how a mere human—if he could even call the person above him that—could make him feel this type of danger, but he wouldn't like to try and test if his instincts were true.
"We're here to get books from your library," Kizer said before smoking again.
Seeing how unreasonable the person above him was, Wan Shi Tong felt that stopping them was meaningless and would likely put him and this library in great danger, so he just retuclanly accepted it.
"You there, lady, what is it that you held?" It was obviously a book, but the question was meant to divert all the attention towards the lady, besides the dangerous man.
"This? It's a book that I've planned to give you! Though I'll only give it if you allow us to read in your library," Kaya said, acting like those books contained ancient knowledge.
Seeing how innocent and ignorant the lady was, Wan Shi Tong felt frustrated but thankful, since it was obvious that she was the reason his physical body was still alive right now.
"Alright, give me those books and I'll give you permission to my library," Wan Shi Tong said, his tone more calm.
Kizer slowly brought down the floating rock to the bridge where Wan Shi Tong and Bumi waited. Kaya then jumped down and slowly approached Wan Shi Tong with fascination in her eyes as she looked at the owl.
She then offered the book, which Wan Shi Tong immediately took before flying down deep into the library. He planned on hiding his important stuff from them, since he knew that they were not just there to read but also to steal.
