I halt and look back. Xu Jiaxu looks at me. I know he noticed that I'm worried. "Your Majesty, you don't have to worry about Her Majesty's sake. Eunuch Liu was with her, and she's no longer as idiotic as she used to be," he stated.
I glared at him. He looks away, brushing his nape. I sighed. "You can't blame me. How can I not be worried? She's pregnant, and all these problems can put her health at risk," I remarked.
I walk again. Li Susu might have the knowledge of what the future holds, but this timeline was different. She's a royal, and being in the palace isn't as beautiful as you think it could be.
We meet Li Jin and Pei Qin at the staircase down the Taiji hall. I look at them and notice something. They bow their heads. "Greetings, Your Majesty," they both say.
They look around. "The empress needs to handle some matters in the inner court. She can't be with us for today's court meeting," I remarked.
